While it’s nice they add some silver details, for someone who is going to paint it the changes are not really needed. The extra panellines are a plus, but if you own the old version, the new version is not worth it. If you don’t have the old version, you should pick it up if you can. One of the best PG in my opinion.
in my opinion bandai didn't to need to changes the looks of the pg strike just add the sword striker and the launcher pack but damn i love what they did with the kit

I litterally bought the old one about 2 weeks before the new release cuz i had no idea about the new one, and im still happy with my purchase, as the 2020 one costs about $600 aud and i got the old one for $200 aud. i probably wont be making it the same as the new one as i think that has too many silver bits and such, but i will redo all the led lighting in the head cuz the stock ones are shit
@@PLAWorld I would if I have the luxury to do so, that was my first ever PG, also my first ever Gundam seen on anime, also my first favourite Gundam, I even like it way more than the Freedom and the Strike Freedom, given Gundam Seed was my first watched Gundam series. Not gonna complaint about anything, and I'm gonna treasure this kit from now on. (Haven't start to build it yet 😜😜)
Would like to point out that there are differences in 1:50. First, the part in the region between the elbow and the wrist has an entirely newly molded white part that has lining opportunities compared to the older one, and a bit of the chrome-plated part can be seen as well.
im actually prefer the old one, those silver/chrome plated will be useless since i always repaint my PG kits, thin v-fin is prefered than broad one, well everyone got their own taste i bet

The inner frame dark gray plastic is different color. New one is like gun metal gray while old one is more like solid gray

I suggest u buy the P-bandai launcher and sword striker pack expension set for your PG strike gundam :D
