I usually don't do reactions or commentary, so I wanted to take the chance now that we're in break month to help share some of the hype for the One Piece Live Action by showcasing all the official cast we've gotten so far, many of which you likely haven't seen yet!
lets not get hyped. since they failed cowboy bebop, which is one of the most adoptable anime, i lost my belief

The casting for Garp and Mihawk are great from a physical appearance standpoint. The lord of the coast one cracked me up.

Thanks for this! I’m just worried they cut Benn Beckman, Woop Slap, Makino, Mohji, Jango, the Ussop Pirates, Gin, and Hatchi. :/ hope those characters are present. Smoker and Tashigi if they end with Loguetown are an obvious must.
I wouldn't worry just yet, I think they are just holding a few cards close to the chest considering there is such attention to detail that all the costumes in the trailer are from either the anime or the color walk (color pages collection book) and that they casted a character who was only mentioned in the SBS (the original Mr 7) I don't think they'd skip over some of the fairly important characters.
If lucky roo is in there no way is beckman cut. Same with Hatchi if we still have Chew.
No way Roo exists without Beckman. I hope Gin is a thing though for sure. I can survive without the rest.
Benn Beckman, Woop Slap, and Making were all in the leaked pilot script that revealed the former Mr. 7 scene, so probably no need to worry there. After finding out that the Mr. 7 thing is real, I'm convinced the leak is real. Can't speak for the rest, unfortunately.

Missed Opportunity to cast Gordon Ramsay as Zeff. But Craig Fairbrass will also look good as Zeff.
Also Kuro was inspired by a younger Johnny Depp, + Django from Stephen Tyler.

If the show continues for the entire plot of one piece it will unironically have the largest cast of any show ever
Well I have to say the casting looks great the only two people I noticed who were missing were Hachi and Gaimon. Which I'm going to be honest I'm glad that Gaimon didn't get mentioned as saying that little Treasure Island thing will be cut out.
Gaimon's story can easily be dropped. I mean I liked both Gaimon episodes, I enjoyed them quite a bit, but I don't mind it being dropped. Hachi, on the other hand... they better not remove Hachi from Arlong's entourage. Like are you kidding me, Hachi is one of the absolute best characters and one of the best things about the Cocoyashi village arc.
And what with Roger?

Also talking about body proportion from one character to another, its important because that one of the things that make one piece unique.
About fishman idk, but for body size and proportion maybe not, or not take it to far, Oda sensei already said there's some changes, i hope they not take it to far for giant though in the future.
@@dyospadefkiillahi1411 making body proportion with CGI can be done, like Lord of the rings saga decades ago, the challenge will continue if this series not cancelled and go on, chopper will 100% CGI just like how rocket from guardian of galaxy,
Just let's see how they handle Don Craig, Arlong and captain morgan.
Hope they can translate well the fun and energy to another form and nit just try to imitate, just disappointed sanji curly eyebrows not implemented, because its one center of his character and vinsmoke that for me is important.
@@airakazadnawri5766 the problem is the budget ,yeah CGI can make something unreal become real but we should consider about the budget, for Fishman practical effects with a lil bit CG is Okay so far, Look Buggy he look fine, and they cannot depend on CG to much I'm a little bit concern after they show Luffy using his stretching ability, there's still alot of df user and they need to focus the CGon that, but to make Taller character when they not actually a giant, or Weird face feature like long nose etc, they maybe tried to make it less but not take it away that feature to much. For Chopper or another thing that depend what happen with the series, are they gonna success with this first season?, are they gonna continue it? That depend on audience and result from this first season
@@dyospadefkiillahi1411 the budget is one thing, but i see the priority of the budgets is the more concerning, they went all out in creating the ship, barrate Merry ect, wich actually can be done by CGI and just neet build part needed for it, but maybe they can open that later for tourism, IDK, CGI is not as expensive from the past, with many CGI breakthrough such Ureal Engine 5, new cinematography techniques it could be done with more less time and less budget.
@@airakazadnawri5766 the CGI maybe not expensive but the cg artist who make it are and the tools for Motion capture or anything, and yeah other show they can make it cheap because they used less CG characters but onepiece they need alot, that's why the reason why they get rid of Usopp long nose because he gonna show up every season and Luffy Gomu-gomu no pistol attack they did it at night because the CG ,and I'm agreed with you with use practical equipment like ship for tourist but they need more for next season if they still gonna make it, I'm not against nor happy with this project, but still gonna support it to see their effort, if they really serious with this first season I'm pretty sure it's gonna be big success.

I wonder if this will be my favorite version of Don Krieg. He was a little weak of a villain in the manga / anime, but I feel like his type of character and the look the actor has really could have him be a lot more interesting.

I really want this series to go on beyond season 1, but my biggest worry is the age of the cast. Assuming that the series continues, it will take at least 8-10 real life years to reach the time skip, not to mention anything in New World. By then the whole cast will probably be too old to keep playing the same characters. What will they do then? Will they recast them? Or will they digitally make them younger? A single season takes at least 1 year and a half to write, shoot and post-produce (even more for when we get to the weirder parts of the story where more CGI work will be needed). I'm worried that will be too slow to keep pace with the cast ageing. But I guess that's a problem you want to have, if the series is going well and brings you money lol
I also had a thought about the cast ageing exactly like yours. And my thesis was that if the series make it to the time skip (hopefully it will 🤞), they will just recast other actors for the same roles.
Some things don’t need a full season like thriller bark that could be a two or three episode special or when they get separated could be part of something else and can also be three episodes. If these actors get the I can’t see anyone else playing them I don’t think they will mind them looking older than recasting them it also depends if the actors get tired of playing these characters it is a long time they will need to be in these roles for up to 10 years maybe more. What I’m worried about is netflix getting different writers for later seasons and the quality changing.
The other biggest worry would be Netflix's reputation for canceling shows after 2 seasons. Many of their shows have been canceled by the end of the 2nd season for money reasons. One Piece would be super expensive to adapt the entirety of and I don't know if Netflix would go that far if this doesn't make them enough money.
i wanted to hear your take on the cast too not just see the side by sides and at least if you think overall if its a good cast or not and if you were hopeful or not for the live action.

There are set pictures from Loguetown, and Dragon was announced recently. They aren't skipping, I think Smoker will be a bigger casting (as in well known actor), which is why they are saving him for another trailer or something.

They don't need to do that. For luffy, Inaki just need to go to the Gym LOL. The same with ussop. Sanji & zoro are fine after timeskip the same body shape except franky with robotic shape
@@HapPawhere you really need to do a side by side pictures of each character from before the 2 years and after the 2 years most of them did become bulky (apart from Luffy and chopper) and got longer hair/facial hair and then the obvious stuff with nami and robin lol they would need to do a lot of work in a short amount of time that would include multiple surgeries lol
