If you haven't tried camping at a casino yet, give it a shot. My wife and have found that almost all casinos allow overnight rv parking. We aren't gamblers, but we sign up for the free slot play at their players club and generally leave with $10-$20 more than we came with plus a free couple nights stay.

Just found your RUclips channel and have only watched three videos so far. Thoroughly enjoyed them so far. I too use paper and plastic utensils. A lot easier for clean up and to conserve water. I also only boondock. In the two years I have been RVing part time I have never stayed at a campground. Keep the videos coming. Very informative so far.

But we did an 8 month, winter season in FL and are currently spending another winter on the road in a tricked out Chevy Van. We are a retired couple married 40 years, pushing 60 years old and love this lifestyle. FYI go to your dollar store or even Wal-mart, and they have a new sponge now that is a scrubber that many things will not stick too. I love the trains, when moving to KC, first place I was in had track right across the street from me, behind the neighbors house, first few days were hard, then I got to where it relaxed me..go figure. Now I hear them in distance and still relaxes me.

BTW, I discovered that the Precision Induction Cooktops are great power savers for RVs and a wonderful way to cook, as they operate at relatively low power and can be run off a small generator or even a good inverter. Stuff heats fast and evenly and you can control the heat so precisely its easier not to burn or over cook stuff so a lot less mess.

A trick I learned from other boondockers: If I boondock at Walmart, a mall or downtown and do happen to patronize one or two of the stores in the area I leave the sack/s next to the door with the merchandise in them with a receipt in case anyone questions why I'm in the area. I have proof that I'm shopping. Local merchants don't want paying customers harassed or chased off especially these days in a tough economy. Love the idea of the boondocking journal. I agree with the other comments that you could publish that in a blog or e-book and make it a great income resource that is if you want to share the info. Wouldn't blame you for keeping it to yourself though.

Hi, Eric. For coffee, I use a French press mug. Fresh ground coffee in, then hot water, steep about 5 minutes, and push the plunger. Great cup of coffee. Look up "Big Sky Bistro" on Google or Amazon. Amazon has for about $20 and some REI stores have them in stock. To get rid of the grounds, I put a little water in, swirl, and fling the slurry out on a lawn or under a bush. Works great.

Hey Eric, are you able to get points at the Love's truck stop? I notice more truck drivers going to Love's more than any other truck stop. If you go to Love's often, I suggest you pick up a card to swipe every time you get gas. I drove truck over the road for about a year and was a big fan of food.. particulary buffets and The Big Texan in Amarillo, TX off the I-40.. it's a steak house that will give you a free 72oz steak if you can eat it in one hour.

Congrats on those subscriptions! I think you choosing a good name has a lot to do with that too. I still use my old dog kennel name on my account as I've not changed it. My RVing also includes sharing my life with my show dogs, so it is kind of a weird category. The RV world & show dog world tend to clash! Unfortunately, more on the RV world side of things.
I don't use much for paper products as I would rather stay more ecology minded, so I wash my dishes instead.

I've have added you to my top 10 list of on the road advise section cuz you have your system down pretty sand well...... and my wife and I being new to this we need the basics first and then later as a good refresher.
keep it rolling and stay safe!

Before you advise paper products, travel through a papermill town. You'll never forget it. I love your tip videos. It's funny watching your first videos, after watching all of them. You've learned so much over the years. I think it would be good to do a 'what I've learned' video. When I watched your videos the first time, I found myself giving the screen advice. Lol. "No, don't do that, Eric!" Then, a few videos later, you'd say it was a mistake. :)

For dinnerware...buy plastic wrap and stretch it over your regular plates for easy cleanup, no stains and less waste.
