You have a dream.... and Lou makes it come true. Max is becoming a little mini Lou. He is learning so much from you both. The way Freya got cuddles in front of the fire, a working dog who can be a furbaby too. Stay healthy and happy. Thank you for sharing ❤
Chicken coop looks like your chickens will be living the life of luxury! Garden tip from my mom who has been gardening veggies for 40 years: when planting, lay down newspaper then straw between your rows of plants. This virtually eliminates the weeds and makes gardening so much easier!
I’m sad, you’ve got all this land, you’re ex vegans and you want to enclose them in a coup. I get they need some protection from predators, but put them in at night, this gives them no choices of where THEY want to go
I always wonder what timber prices are like in the states? I see many Tubers using it prolifically which gives me the impression its cheap? Here in Australia projects like this are simply not feasible. I would love to know what your costs were for the coup?
Oh I assure you lumber is not cheap at all. We just watch people build who have the money to overbuild and not worry about how much it cost. ( no offense to this channel! I love you guys regardless) At this moment In time a 2x4x8 piece of lumber is going for $5 and a 4 foot by 8 foot piece of plywood is $35. I would estimate the floor of this coop to have cost them well over $1000 usd at the cheapest just for lumber.
😂 I'm looking at those 2x10s thinking the same. And an open bottom to easier clean all the poop! 2x2s maybe and at least .5 hardware cloth. But lets see😂

LOL, yes! Children love to run wherever they are going. I wish I had enough energy to run everywhere.
I love how Freya was like ‘oo, thanks, you built me some shade’ 😄
And it's great to have you back after all this time muah
Yes, great to see you back!
I thought of this project while I was chicken-sitting the other week! So fun to see the first part of the build!!

aww thank you so much for this beautiful note :) sending all our love xx Dana
All those weeds the chickens will love. If they are on the ground, they will cut the overgrowth down.
It looks like you are going to have godzilla chickens. 🤣

And when time comes, the coop could be remodeled in a tiny house for on the road 🤪🤣
Any plans to paint your shipping containers to prevent more rust?

Where is the video of the entire project? I follow you on IG and you've shown chickens going into the coop.
You need to paint the containers.
Hi, I’m sorry to say this but I think your base is over engineered, this coming from an over ‘engineerer’, I think you could use it for ostriches 🤓🤪😂.
