Osmosis is passive transport, meaning it does not require energy to be applied. What causes osmotic pressure is different concentrations of solutes on the two sides of the membrane.

The speaker in these videos sounds so cute and passionate about the topic! It really makes me happy and motivated to keep on learning biology, so thank you! (Also, I know it's a small detail, but putting the exclamation mark at the end of the sentences in the closed captioning along with the speaker's energetic tone really makes the experience better for me!)

So much passion put into the making of this animation... We can clearly see the efforts put into the animations. The Hypertonic, Isotonic and Hypotonic headings have a proportion of salt and water designed into them... The level of detail is extraordinary! Wonderful and Well Explained topic in this video! 👍

Thank you i understood hypertonic and isotonic. But still not able to understand hypotonic.
It says more water (solvent)concentration outside. = Less salt (solute) concentration outside.
Which further means that we have
HIGH SALT (SOLUTE) CONCENTRATION INSIDE CELL.
My question is how can salt (or any solute) fit in such a amount inside cell which is more in comparision to the container?
