    But sir according to google it stated that diffusion can occur in solids too but it's a slow process
    Please answer my doubt 🙏

    • @Juneofficial823
      @Juneofficial823 Месяц назад +1

      Diffusion can occur in solids but it takes a very, very long time. For example, if you write on a blackboard with chalk and leave it as such for a few weeks, it is very difficult to get the chalk off the board. So, some amount of it has diffused. For things to completely diffuse, it can take centuries, so we don't usually say that solids can diffused.
      Hope this helps :)

    • @necroprincess
      @necroprincess Месяц назад +1

      solids diffuse at a very slow rate, the reason is because the molecules only vibrate and do not move freely like in solids and gases. that's why we say solids don't diffuse, gases and liquids diffuse in minutes or even seconds because of the kinetic energy in their particles and their weak intermolecular attraction allowing them to move quickly.

    I have a question.You said that diffusion only occurs in gases and liquids, so why sugar as a solid substance creates diffusion when putting it in tea?

    • @NAJAMACADEMY
      @NAJAMACADEMY  2 года назад +5

      Excellent Question!!!
      🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
      Firstly, sugar dissolve in water due to its polar nature. Once, it is dissolved in the water... It will than diffuse in the water.
      So the sequence is... Dissolving and Diffusing...
      Thanks!!!

    1.Does Helium baloon goes upwards because of diffusion??
    Helium is the lightest gas, so being lighter than atmosphere it flys upwards.
    2. Is digestion an example of osmosis??
    During digestion obviously the digested food passes to circulation, not only water. But osmosis means only passing of water.
    Digested food goes to circulation through passive or, active process. During passive process, some foods move to circulation through diffusion..
    Correct me, if I'm wrong.
