Beautiful woman, beautiful voice, brings back memories of my youth, loved her then and still do.
Love this, sounds so good!! Emmylou’s so beautiful! Her outfit with the fringe is too cool!
I've actually never seen her sing Rodney's song Til I Gain Control Again. Truly amazing performance.
Once in a lifetime..caught Emmy Lou at the Vancouver Ballroom, beautiful character venue, acoustics to boot, fully appreciative crowd, perfect backing band and of course an angel
I see Glen D. Hardin and James Burton here… they certainly add to the icing that’s already on top here. Her voice is simply incredible.
Rodney Crowley is singing background vocals, there were no slouches on that stage.
And Emory Gordy on bass (also from Elvis’s band)
Glen Emory were there for years. And what a combination of songs.
Possibly my three favorite songs of the first two albums
Oh, and let’s not forget Hank DeVito
My father enjoyed just about every genre of music and he sure loved Emmy!
Absolutely incredible. Thank you so much for making this publicly available. You are soothing a lot of souls 🙌
Every generation *thinks* that the music when they were young was the best. That being said one of those generations just might be right. Late 60s,,and 70s was just so epic and here's a great example. You don't get music like this anymore.
This is the most beautiful video on youtube
I agree.
I always wonder if Chris Hillman hadn’t told Gram Parsons about an unknown female folk singer in a bar and Parsons took her under his wing….would Emmylou have been discovered? What an amazing artist she became.
She has too much talent not to have become the superstar she is Gram or not.
She sang wonderfully on Bob Dylan's 1976 album "Desire". That performance alone would've put her on the map.
@@SanguineCamper She was already a star by the time she sang with Dylan. She had released Elite Hotel, Pieces of the Sky and Luxury Liner by 1976, all gold albums that charted high.
Desire is an incredible work - and a great collaboration. Emmylou elevates the material to something mysteriously beautiful.
Heaven on Earth as Song… cool. more please…
this is incredible😍😍
Beautiful...
Fun video. Emmy is the best and look for a young Rodney Crowell in the hot band! Burlington Bill busking on the road and here on You-Tube.
Wonderful and ageless
I really love this song!!!
Damn... Rodney Crowell was an amazing songwriter...
was? still going strong.
Sweet Emy ❤
Burton and DeVito locked in incredibly tight
wow they're good
MORE!!!
Rodney Crowell tunes and ELH singing them 👍
I want to go home to the Armadillo. Prettiest women I ever seen except in Tennessee.

My god, she is heartbreaking
🌹💃☝🏼😋🎶🎶💙Love you Emmy
Emmylou is like Miles Davis in that they both had HOT BANDS. Some of the best players in their respective genres.
The woman everyone wanted to sing with....
I was at this show. James Burton was perfect. I also saw Albert play with Emmy, and whilst he was also superb, he’s not James.
You could say, alternatively, that James is not Albert - who, by the way, can play other instruments and sing, too!
@@mortyboardsmusic2444love James, but Albert would play circles 😅around him.
Doesnt get any better than this. This is the original gram parsons Emmylou Hot Band, the best ever country band IMHO. Later additions Ricky Scaggs and Albert Lee made it even better, if that is possible. Such a sad shame Gram died but boy did emmylou fill his shoes.
Morning elliesurf ur ski make up your mike angel
❤🎉😊
Isn't Emmylou so beautiful?
E esqueci meu filho mais velho thiago pai da minha neta
Who's on bass?
Emory Gordy
Husband of Patty Loveless.
😢rip melody angel
I'm kinda glad James Burton left this band and was replaced by Albert Lee who fit this music so much better. Burton's way too antsy a player for this. He seems a little out of place while Lee just blended right in.
