Thanks for the stream and the Texas geography lesson lol. 1:45:29 The event character stories tend to be a mix of completely separate stories that have nothing to with the main event story plot, or directly connected to the main event plot in some form (like this one). One thing that's actually pretty good about R1999 is that if a character story is directly connected to the event story, the game will actually give you a warning message that the character story will spoil something from the main event story if you haven't cleared the stage that has the plot element (ie. the game probably would have warned you if you didn't see either the mirror shooting scene or the final stage where Tuesday talks about the "girl trapped in the mirror" in the main event).
I didn't even notice this the first time playing this because its so easy to miss, but at 2:18:04, Kayla changes to the Ms. Grace "Kayla" for like a second mid-dialogue (if you didn't know, the Ms. Grace "Kayla" has a butterfly pattern on the bandana, as well as blue eyes). Since we learn at the end of the story that Argus is an unreliable narrator, I'm pretty sure this is intentional; as to what it means, it's definitely up to interpretation.

This is just my headcanon so it may not be correct, but I believe the contents of the file w/ red string the deputy is made up by Argus so it fits her narrative so that Kayla might be involved in the string of disappearances. When Argus later on goes to the Red Wall for the 1st, the color of the wall is inverted; I don't believe this was done for censorship, as during the event we literally had a scene where someone ended himself and blood everywhere. It could be possible that this implies that scenes with inverted colors could be when Argus is hallucinating something (either due to he denial of the possibility of what she has done, or due to the side effects of excessive Pricrasma, which is expanded upon later on in the story). Going back to the file, when Argus uses her arcane ability, the color inverts.
