Been dreading this project for wayyyyy tooooo longgggggg. Now after watching your video, I am kicking myself in the ass for not getting it done sooner! Thank you!
Thank you so much for doing this video . I fixed my 2005 Chevy suburban driver rear regulator . Got the parts from O'Reilly . My mechanic try to charge me $322 . You help me so much with this video and save me so much money . Thank you again God bless you and your family
I just put in two new rear window regulator's for my brothers 06 Sierra. Watching your video made it easy for me to put them in. Never done that before, You made it easy to understand how to do it right. It saved him a lot of money and I learned something new. Thank you so much and my kid brother say's thank you too.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I didn't know how difficult this would be but a friend (female) told me she had done it on a different vehicle and it wasn't too hard, so I just Googled how to fix a window on a 2004 Silverado that was off it's tracks. Hmmm, I learned a new word "regulator" was the correct term! I watched a couple of other RUclips videos but none were as close to being as informative or well spoken and filmed to help someone like me that had NO IDEA what she was doing! My husband helped me in small ways like reaching two bolts that I couldn't (my window had completely fallen and wouldn't move up) but 95% of this job was done by me! I'm so happy and he's so proud of me. I told him that it was your video that helped me! Thank you again!
Thank you so much for the video. You made it look as easy as it was. I had more trouble installing the door cover, than I did removing and installing the regulator. But once I was done it worked out perfectly. I followed your step by step tutorial and it worked out for me. Thanks again and I truly appreciate it.
Thanks for the video! Kids were working in the yard, so I bought them all Chinese food, had the wife go grab food while dad fixed his window. Was finished, cleaned up, and inside 10 minutes before they got back! 10/10 instructional vid!!
Dude you're really good at this I was a mechanic for years and once in awhile I just need a refresher course on where the hidden bolts are you have a really good means of explaining thanks keep it up
Super clear video. Got the parts from Amazon, $65 with shipping, 2 days. Followed your instructions to the T. Took me about 30 minutes. for the drivers side rear window on my 2002 1500HD Silverado. Works perfect. Thank you.
Excellent tutorial! Just did this on a 2005 Silverado 3500 Crew Cab. Amazon had the part I needed for a cheaper price than dealership and it was a pretty quick job thanks to this video.
This was definitely not on my very long list of things to do today but by mistake I lowered the window...in the rain...!!! Your video made short work of this replacement. Thanks a bunch!!
Thank you so much for this video. I replaced my driver side rear window on my 2006 chevy silverado 1500 pick up truck. Everything went well and easy. God bless.
Great Video. My 2006 Sierra has need this for years. Lots of Gorilla tape holding it closed for the last 2 winters. I've seen other videos but not as close and informational as your video. You did a very good job of explaning exactly how to do the job. Thank You.
Just accidentally rolled my rear windows down this morning, and now my same window won't go all the way back up. Thanks for this video! Looks like I have a little weekend project now. 😂
Excellent video. My window failed just today and I was glad I could get it back closed before the rain starts. The instruction in this video is great! Thanks especially for the extra tips. Also, I was amazed at how fast you could work... Sorry my smart aleck gene was dominant today...
This is awesome. You couldn’t and shouldn’t have to explain it any better. This is pretty straightforward. I need to replace that exact part, and this is the only video I have seen and the only one I need to see. 👍🏼👍🏼 thanks for the info man.
Now this is what im talking bout straight to the point and helping us out what to do and watch out for and do first..goof job man fr ..others want to sit there and talk about there life story while changing stuff ..lol i dont mind but im in that autozone mind ..you knoo? Lol good job bro , hell yeah "!!
Well done! Narration, video and lighting was perfect. I’ve been riding around for months with my left rear window taped up with black Gorilla tape and watching your video has inspired me to order the damn part and do this repair myself.
Subbed your channel my man! I had ordered a new window regulator for my ‘06 Silverado over 2 yrs ago…It has sat in its box in my garage ever since, cause I thought: “Dang that’s gonna be an arduous task & I don’t have time right now…” Welp, watched your video & completed said “arduous task” in about an hour!! I’ve still not replaced door panel & hardware yet, cause once removed panel, need to replace those rotten door speakers while at it. That’ll be a job for another day however!! 😂
great video. My window got stuch down yesterday and am going to tear the door panel off to see whats up. I do have to ask...whats that creaking/binding noise at 7:15? thanks for posting. Im headed out in the hear right now to start this!!! edit: I would like to add, to those getting ready to do this job, the top bolt holes are slotted and big enough to allow you to leave the bolt in when reinstalling. This may help some of you with realigning the tracks when putting things back in. Just so you arent fighting the thing trying to find the holes or starting the bolt. hang the track from the bolts in place on the top, then do the bottom bolts, if that makes sense
Hi, good video Yours was the one I went with, simple, to the point, I liked it Got a question tho; what was the piece that fell off and hit the ground as you took the door panel off? Did something come loose or break in the process? Not to nit pick you, because mine did the same thing, something was loose and hit the ground as I pulled the door panel off It looks like a plastic hook, kinda of like the others that are part of the door panel I was wondering if it's important Thanks again
If the cable didn't snap is it lot easier to just replace the motor if gear is stripped. Do you have to remove the whole thing to replace the motor.? Thanks for posting

You mentioned a cable broke, was it a small braided cable with a anchor so to speak that looks like it should be connected somewhere?
Great video. Thanks for the info
Thank you! Im glad it was helpful!
Good job on the video. Big help.
Great video 👍🏻
