If this ride had lapbar restraints or softer over the shoulder ones it would be so much better. This coaster is a serious headbanger.

I'd say for 7 years old the best coaster to ride would be Rebel Yell, but for something that inverts there at KD I'd say Twisted Timbers.

1:59 I miss this view. It's crazy that one of the most beloved rollercoasters is gone forever and Anaconda is still operating.
I agree volcano is such a unique coaster that no one else had I can't believe they would just get rid of it. If they had maintenance issues with it or it was getting worn down they could have easily invested money in it to refurb it.

It's sad volcano is gone but it goes to show the reliability of an arrow coaster.
@@vichy97th yes because the mountain was originally part of another attraction (i believeit was part of planet snoopy). It was not designed to house a Rollercoaster.

I rode the Loch Ness 10 times in one day (rainy afternoon) when I was a kid and the Anaconda was, new. Rode the Anaconda once I was done, it was a punishing ride and not as fun.

This was the first loop roller coaster I ever got on. It's a old rough ride gave me a headache but end up riding it 3 times back to back

Bruh! I was so scared to ride this ride lmao it was my second ever roller coaster ride and it was the most AWESOMEST ride I've ever been on. I got on it twice that day. Such an amazing experience.

I will continue to hold my position that this ride is not that rough. It's old! It's stupid to expect it to be silky smooth like a new coaster. It's a whole lot smoother on the tracks than Rebel Yell, Hurler, and Grizzly while being quite a bit less jerky through inversions than Flight of Fear. The first half is intense enough to occasionally make me blackout and the corkscrews are very fun with how they make me float out of my seat. I rode it at least ten times yesterday without pain or even a headache. I think that half of the people who complain about this ride know that it's an Arrow and look for it to be rough.

Disagree. I love Vortex, Viper, and Loch Ness Monster. Rode Anaconda with a completely open mind and by the end of it had an awful headache the likes of which I've never experienced before. I don't expect any Arrow to be "smooth," but I'd like to not come off the ride with a concussion.
I remember riding on Rebel Yell and Grizzly and both rides were a waste of my time. Anaconda was alright. But the restraints hurt when coaster went into the corkscrews.
Honestly i've been on this ride so many times and i love it it's not super fast and it's so much fun!!!!

Anaconda was my first ride on a steel coaster and the biggest coaster at KD at the time. Smurf Mountain was equally terrifying but for entirely different reasons.

Not only is the ride painful and uncomfortable, the last 2 loops legit feel like you're going to fall off, and not the good kind either. There's two types of the drop/corkscrew, there's falling corkscrewing but feeling safe, and then there's falling/corkscrewing where you feel like you might fall of and feel like your life is in danger which is NOT fun
The double corkscrew is my favorite element on Anaconda. It was fun coming totally out of my seat and hanging there. It's very safe too. There are roller coasters all over the world with double corkscrews and the same type of restraints. I felt no sense of danger and experienced no pain.

I actually enjoyed all the arrow loopers I’ve been on (this one + Carolina Cyclone + Tennessee Tornado + Cedar Point Corkscrew)
Out of 55 coasters, Cedar Creek Mine Ride is the only roller coaster I didn’t enjoy and I prefer Adventure Express over said ride.

Riding this in the back row is SO FUN. It’s not as rough as people make it out to be. A little hard on the ears with the restraints but it’s personally one of my favorite coasters. You get such good airtime on the last couple corkscrews.

It's pretty bad, there are better roller coasters out there. It's not as intense as it looks, and absolutely crawls through the second half

This and Drachen fire were the only coasters that gave me headaches as a kid but at least with Drachen fire i could pin point it to that god awful transition into the cork screw right after the mcbr (seriously whoever thought it was a good idea to snap you 90 degrees going into the cork screw should have been shot in both knees) with Anaconda it's the whole damn ride.
