I was on the American river back in 1974 camping with some friends. The area was supposed to be dammed up and so the power company let people go in and live in the many cabins and cottages along the river. We had friends that lived in an old miners cabin above an old gold mine. There was a couple guys panning for gold there also. I would love to take my grandson there someday and try some panning and fishing. Be blessed…
@@rogerrabbit5014 yeah the American river is really rich, especially the places that are hard to access. Are you talking about the area around oxbow reservoir on the middle fork or the North fork American
@@goldenpolack not sure really,as I was 18 an from Michigan. Hitchhiked out and stayed with friends. Was there a damm planned for that area. I remember there was a small settlement of 15-20 cabins just below a bridge we crossed. Lots of young people and those darn hippies.
That’s a good point. I heard Missing 411 ( David Paulides ) the other night explain there has only been18 fatalities with mountain lions nationwide for 100 years. 10 rattle snakes is a lot. Thanks. Stay safe neighbor!
Heck out Osceola Nevada! Old hydraulic operation richest placer in Nevada. Operating 1905 -1920s ….short time until water ditch failed. See you tube.28 pound nugget approximately.
Nice video brother! That area looks like it would be good to do some detecting on. Hit me up sometime if you ever want to get out and check out some new spots
@@goldenpolack Nice! It's good to have friends with private property that borders the rivers of gold! I am jealous! Looks like you could use a highbanker or a sluice though!
@@AlaskaDanger-jf6ti this year I saw less than 10 rattlesnakes, lots of bears and besides the short video of the mountain lion kitten I've actually never seen a mountain lion. I'm surprised too, I spend a lot of time in the mountains

@rogerrabbit5014 that's awesome that we're both from Michigan, small world. I came out here chasing gold and never went back

gopro's have a constant draw on the battery because of voice activation. So you can't leave a battery in them for storage.

A jar of peanut butter would serve you well as it is about as calorie dense as food can be
