    A humorist, 20 years ago for the "The State" paper, once summed up Columbia as follows, no mountains, no beaches, and plenty of hot parking lots, never forgot it.

      Hey Richard! Your comment brought a big smile to my face! 😄 It actually reminded me of a famous song that goes, "What a lovely way to burn." Turns out, Columbia's unique charm, with its hot parking lots and all, is indeed a delightful way to "burn" with laughter! 🔥🎶 Thanks for adding that extra touch of humor to the conversation! If you have more gems or if there's a soundtrack to Columbia's quirks, I'm all ears and tunes! 🎤🌟 #BurningWithLaughs #ColumbiaGroove

    I will be moving to Columbia Sc soon, but I really have phobia of brown cockroaches. You made somehow optimistic after you said, that you have never seen them after you have hired a pest control company. I hope this will be the case. Thanks

      Hey Lufti! It is absolutely the case. A good pest control company is your best option. I'll be happy to assist if you decide to buy a home here. How soon will you be moving?

      Idk what anyone told you, you will meet them. They come from outside. They are huge, can fly and are aggressive. When you see one in your house, you have to get him. Otherwise he will eventually crawl on you when you're sleepin. You think I'm messing with you, I'm not. You see one grab a broom, and whatever furniture has to be moved, other weapons brought to bear, you can't let him escape, cuz they don't leave, they just wait till later and come back out and well.... welcome to south cackalacky.

      @@palmettomoveYou should consider being a realtor in the Midwest. Outside of BabyBoomers from up North, and Military 🎖️ Veterans, this place SUCKS! But at least you have a support system.

    @karenkoslowski2329 Год назад +2

    Omg. You are supposed to be a realtor and you’re telling people not to live there?!?! That’s crazy. You’re not very smart, you’re supposed to be welcoming people and helping them find a home there. That’s like making cookies for a living and telling people not to eat them. You’re cray cray!!!

      Thank you for your point of view. I believe in transparency, so if anyone wish to move here they need to do it with their eyes wide open.
      Same when buying a house. My clients have to be told ALL known facts. This way we avoid unpleasant surprises down the road.
      Of course, you cannot prepare for everything, however, I do my best to show my clients everything there is to know.

      @@palmettomoveYou're right 👍! Transparency is the key 🗝️! But you should do a video 📷 about how it works here. Let people know that if you're not in that 25, to 65 age bracket, this is probably not the place for most people. It's a wonderful 👍 place for Military 🎖️ Veterans, and people in Healthcare. (Particularly Nurses) Outside of that, it's pretty much a DUMP there.
