Some PCV valves (like the one in the video) have a tapered body to help form a seal to the engine block. Leaving a gap between the block and the valve as shown in the video helps to prevent over torquing it.
The PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve is always attached to the crankcase to do its job of releasing engine pressure, though its location and accessibility may vary depending on the type/model of the vehicle.
The specific torque recommendation for the PCV valve on a vehicle may vary, and it's best to consult the manufacturer's recommendation for your particular car model for precise information. However, if you're looking for a general guideline or common industry standard torque for PCV valves when specific manufacturer recommendations are not available, a torque of around 8 to 10 foot-pounds (ft-lbs) is often used for many automotive applications. Keep in mind that this is a general guideline and may not be applicable in all vehicles. If you're uncertain or unable to find the specific torque for your particular car model, tightening the PCV valve snugly by hand (as demoed in my video) without over-tightening is usually sufficient to ensure a proper seal without damaging the threads.

Sorry about that, but like he said, you can turn the sound down if it bothers you.
You over tightened the crap out of it.
Nope. I did not. If you watch the video again at 4:46 you'll see in the subtitle that I specifically cautioned against over-tightening it, that's why I explained the importance of leaving a gap between the engine block and the neck of the PCV valve (see 5:05).
I knew where to stop because I was the one turning the wrench and I can FEEL how much resistance there was.
Thanks for watching.
