- Here's 'I Was Made For Lovin' You' by Kiss, but as if Metallica wrote the song. I was aiming for 90s era, with late 80s, but many other album influences can be heard.

Can you tab this is so much better
The new band called Metallikiss
I would not have thought of this and am impressed! Maybe the next course of action would be to cover Nothing Else Matters in the style of KISS.
It would be waaay better than the original lol
@@leftyzappaNo, it wouldn't.
I LOVE 80s music. I LOOOOOVE glam metal. But "Nothing Else Matters" is A MASTERPIECE as it is.
@@ronrocker7131 it would be if someone else had done it. 😂 I’m from the Bay Area. Metallica failed Utterly when they went to Bob Rock for the Brown Album. See you at Ruthie’s when Exodus plays. Be very careful when you choose what shirt to wear…
Second this. I love NEM, but I'd be really impressed if you could find a way to do it in the style of KISS without it sounding repetitive. There's a good reason that they don't let their songs go on very long.
@PatrickCordaneReeves The only decent KISS comparison to 'Nothing Else Matters' I can think of - might be 'I Still Love You' from their 1982 album 'Creatures of the Night'. 6 minutes long and brooding. Very underrated song that has good guitar solo work by Vinnie Vincent, even though Vincent was not yet an official band member.
The fact you made this work deserves an award
Heck friggen yea! I usually always like your renditions, but this one gave me a different chill. GOOD JOB 👍👍
Another epic rendition! Well done 🤘🤘🤘
Great work!
Hey man, this is f*ckin awesome stuff 🤘🏻🤘🏻
It will be available on Spotify as well?
niiice!! the only thing missin was the wahwah!! lol
I hear Orion intro..awesome and some Struggle within with an Enter Sandman outro! So cool how did this.
And justice for all style intro was tough
This is as close to "good" as Disco Kiss is ever gonna get. Spot on impression, guy- love your stuff!
Gotta move those chorus lyrics into a higher register - fan of both, but don’t mess with my KISS ‘too much’ ha ha
There are many who feel that this is pretty freaking good rendition...and you can count me among them!
That was legitimately GREAT!
Dobro odsvirano. 👍 Primaš li želje možda? 😄
This was pretty cool!!!!
Wouldn't it be faster and with more double bass drums?
I loved it!
THIS MAN NEEDS TO BE FRONT AND CENTER IN THE METAL COMMUNITY
BEYOND TALENT
Highlights just how good KISS's version is
Please!! God of Thunder with Death Metal
CHunNniiiighht!......YEAH!
Cool but honestly it sounds more like a new song by Paradise Lost. 😉👍
Pretty dang good
Not bad wish it was more the early era Metallica and not the Load of crap era! Rock on!
Metallica époque ...AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!!!
You should do if pantera wrote for whom the bells toll
Killer!!
Gene Simons rolls his eyes in envy
What if Type O Negative wrote Bohemian Rhapsody?
If Kiss wrote Enter Sandman.
Only enough had a very Black Album sound to it
Sounds like Static X
It all sounds so natural, like "it was made for playing this"...
You sound more like Metallica than Metallica does.
Agreed
Especially now...
True.
Thats absolutely Spot on 😂 its been a long time since 'tallica sounded anythink like this.
I liked it when Metallica sounded like Metallica. I don’t know who those guys are now pretending to be Metallica.
WOW!!! To take one of the most pop KISS songs of all time and to reimagine it channeling Metallica is pretty damn awesome!
These are as brilliant as Bill McClintock's mashups!
I just came here from McClintock’s Black Sabbath/Rockwell video. That guy has a truly remarkable ability to meld songs and styles that seemingly have little or nothing in common.
Word
Let’s not get carried away here.
@@Lardfist0 Wudibe?
I think James would substitute "baby" for "YEAH!"
Seriously? He took a disco rock song and turned it into a Metallica ballad. I think he did a phenomenal job. Unless you could do better. I would say apologize to this guy.
@@cooperst765 Asshurt much?
Awesome!! 🤘
Self control by Laura Brannigan would be a sweet song to cover. I'm not sure what band/genre but check out that 80s classic. I've always thought it would be a great metal song.
Death metal, absolutely
I love that song, so sensual
Listen to the Remix versions by Infernal
@@oatnoid Oh shit! That was badass!!! Thank you for the recommendation.
Interesting take on that classic. I can almost picture Beatallica playing that one. :)
If Metallica wrote War Machine by KISS
oh yeah
Is Metallica had been writing songs like that, they never would have made it.
@@matthewatwood8641 BRYAN ADAMS FAULT
@@matthewatwood8641 know a band that wrote songs like that and made it? Kiss.
@Rafael-pi4md Yeah that's my point.
I dunno man, the style is spot on but reducing the vocal line to just 2 notes was a mistake I think. Metallica may not have the _most_ melodious sound out there, but they are not _that_ monotonous.
The today Metallica it's the most monotonus and boring than a rivet, if you think that this kind of a cover / interpretation got it's flaws, then think about it again because this song version it's more badass than everything ever done by Metallica about 20 years ever since in the past or even more.
Change "monotonous" to "monotonic" and I agree 100%.
But playing it safe vocally is never the worst option, when it comes to metal. Vocals were there, didn't detract from the guitar perfection.
@@drakonolus7922someone's bitter
For the most part I agree! Like this cover is definitely good! But I agree that Metallica is groovier than that. The main line I felt was too flat. It just needed a lil' more spunk.
@@drakonolus7922tell me you haven't heard the last 2 Metallica albums without telling me you haven't heard the last 2 Metallica albums 😅 this is a great rendition in the style of Metallica, but let's not act like 72 Seasons and Hardwired to Self Destruct weren't awesome albums. There is plenty there to delve into. Maybe give it a shot?
I was definitely made for lovin' this! 🤘
There’s only 3 yeahs and no drum fails so it’s not really a Metallica-like cover.
The compulsory "kicks-drums and two cymbals" Lars ending wouldn't have done any harm either.
@@yowie0889 🤣🤣🤣
It's a Metallica-lite.
If Metallica covered megadeths cover of "I was made for loving you".
Oh pls oh pls oh please do
They did steal a notebook of Dave Mustayne music...
😂
My thought about .03 seconds in
Way more Megadeth
Fantastic work brother. Holy cow. Talk about reimagining a song. This is f****** crazy good
BRO! This is fantastic. you've outdone yourself this time. Keep em coming
First Otu turned this into a badass early 90's Pantera song, and now you've turned it into a badass early 90's Metallica song! Love how perfectly you translated the original's chorus into the sound of the guitar harmonies, sounds beautiful and it's like it always was a Metallica song. Also the ending switching to something more out of the Load-era was great! 🤘
This one sounds as a bonus track from the black album😆
"If Sepultura (Cavalera era) wrote Welcome To The Jungle"
That opening riff was badass.. and the whole thing was believable. Love your work.. have not heard a single one I disliked so far. Granted I have not yet heard them all.. but the track record, for me anyways, is near perfection. Thank you for the work you put into these.
Cool. Missing the oohs, uughs, yeahs, and oh yeahs though,
Let’s go🤘
Sounds like it would be on …and justice for all
Great cover!!Yeah!
Great 🤘🏻
Suggestion: If TYPE O NEGATIVE wrote STRAY CAT STRUT by STRAY CATS.🙌
A Merciful Fate version maybe?
Not a bad idea!
OMG, someone finally made a Kiss song sound awesome! wouldn't have thought it possible if I wasn't hearing it...
Dude you are awesome.
" there's this Kiss cover band and they are way better than F**ckin Kiss ever was" IYKYK
Nice ,sounds like Garage inc. album...
Don't worry Gene...
It's the, Love For All, version.
Oooh, yeah... 🔥🤘😛🎸🔥
Kakva sinteza!
K I S S T A L L I C A 🤟😎👍
Megadeth would be proud
Do if Megadeth wrote George Thorogood’s “Bad To The Bone”
i always felt metallica would be perfect. hetfield sounds like gorge thorgood and randy savgae lol
This is awesome but the lyrics really seem more suited to Ghost
To be fair, if Ghost played it, it wouldn't sound that different from this, just more polished. (Although "Dance Macabre" suggests that Tobias and co. would keep at least some of the original's disco feel.)
.. if Megadeth wrote Kiss "War Machine"...
Aha if you wana metall version of Kiss just check Lordi 😆 "Would You Love A Monsterman"
Kistallica \m/
Second video Ive watched. You have earned my Sub! Yessssirrrr
We hated Kiss for this song. About 45 years later it's not that bad at all, your version being better.
Просто охуенно, простите мой русский. Это шедевр.
Yeah, cool version, dude. It's like hearing Metallica playing something they would never play. Amazing.
Awesomeness 😍
From RUSSIA WITH LOVE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
🤟😎🤟
cOOl 😍
So when is the Metalica version of Sugar Sugar by the Archies coming out? Ok I'll settle for Rob Zombie's take on You Make Lovin' Fun by Fleetwood Mac.
Could have been the B-Side of a single released between Justice & the Black Album. 👍
Sorry bro, can’t get past the idea of James singing these awfu lyrics 🤣🤣
This shit is catchy af. Need to add a better solo like tappings and hammerings and dive bombs
Excellent job!
Not a bad attempt at style, but trying to make this heavier stole the melody. KISS has been playing this downtuned, faster and heavier than the original track since the 90s. You may want to try Parasite which is practically mosh pit-ready and would definitely serve a thrash translation. 🤘🏾
Funny. This combo actually sounds a bit like Ghost. IMO...
it works somewhat, strangely enough, however it would not had been a favorite track of mine...
Nice work though.
If Metallica...I mean Cliff Burton didn't die imagine how good their music would still be.
This is better than Metallica. Sounds more tight and with passion, if it were recorded by the band, it would sound like a pop music, weak and unheavy, specially dedicated for grandmammas.
'God Of Thunder' in the style of RAMMSTEIN or TYPE O NEGATIVE.
Very impressive imagine if bands played each others song Dream on KISS cover led Zeppelin or Jimmy and Paul Jam out this classic together
WICKED version of the KISS classic! \m/
pure talent! 🌟💯 mtlca should perform this at their shows and give you royalties! How would mtlca perform god of thunder?
You must have nothing better to do with your time. And I am so glad that is the case. Absolutely brilliant work!
No. This isn’t if Metallica wrote, this is Denis Pauna cover, and you should post it on Spotify or streaming
At a certain point it reminded me of "am I evil". Anyway love it, I love your voice, you're awesome (btw you're also very attractive 🤫😂)
Well, thank you so much! 🤘😎
Man I like the hell out of this tune. Better than the original with the James And Justice growl.
I wanted to make sure I didn't actually watch the video, so I made a point of just using my headphones while listening to this. I am laughing so hard as this is so wrong on so many levels as I grew up on Kiss in grade school and Jr. High, and Metallica in high school and college and memories that mixed. Oh, the trauma.
At least it doesn't suck now. When you played it, I didn't want to vomet.
If only Kiss was started in the early 90's, they surely would sound like this.
Much better than the original.
Always nice to see some Metallica style covers, not too common!
Play the video at 1.5x speed and it's more realistic
Next do "what if Slayer wrote Come Sail Away"
