@@daliasantiago1426 thanks for the input. It’s hard to consider another breed. I ohh and Aw over big white labs & retrievers. But honestly Dread the idea of hair everywhere. Airedales have been family dogs:quirky & smart. But there’s going to be a day of empty nest that a welsh or Lakeland could be my choice. Any health issues? And are they diggers? They say all kinds of stuff about Airedale but we have 2.5 acres and they don’t dig? And pretty much chase squirrels bark at horses & neighbors until they pass out.
Our Griff has no health issues, but it is important to pick a reputable breeder that will stand behind their puppies if there are issues. He is not a digger, but he doesn’t spend a lot of unsupervised time in our back yard. We had an airedale in the past, but our yard is too small for a large dog. We are considering a wire fox as a second dog to keep him company. We just don’t have enough excitement in our lives. 😱
My Airedale was named Griffin. He passed in March and I saw his apparition for the last time. It was like he was telling me I’m going to be alright and he’s watching me from the other side.
