Good job!!! Sounds great!!! My dad played a banjo when I was very young, I always loved listening to him and his brothers playing bluegrass down on the farm. I'm 52 now and my father has since passed. I miss those days but I'm glad I have the memories to cherish...🤗❤

Very interesting. I take it that it's tuned and fretted like a mandolin, right? It sounds exactly like you'd guess it sounds from the name. I'm looking forward to its debut in the full band.

Hi Ken.... I think that a hundred years ago, or so, manufacturers tried 'mating' all sorts of fretted instruments with a banjo body; makes the instrument louder, at least!! A famous comic actor (over here, at least) in the 1930's & 40's called George Formby, sang and accompanied himself on the 'Banjo-lele'; a banjo body with a Ukulele finger board (and tuning )... My Mum played Mandolin (pre WW2) and Janet's Dad payed 'classical' Banjo. So, this seemed a really appropriate way to honour them both and, at the same time, gifting the Banjo-lin to Savio, in remembrance of them. They really are a beautiful and talented bunch, aren't they?? Kind regards to you in GA, from us on the south coast of England. P & J

@@paulhyde1834 Howdy Paul. Thanks for the info. My Dad was good at pickin' any stringed instrument. Several of my uncles and cousins are/were as well. One cousin is good at playing every instrument he's picked up....stringed, horns, percussion, keyed, whatever. I didn't inherit that talent. I tell them that God chose to bless me with a glorious singing voice instead .... for some strange reason they just don't see it/hear it that way :). It was mighty nice of you to gift the Banjo-lin to Savio. I'm sure he appreciates it a bunch. CPK are indeed a beautiful and talented bunch. In addition to their musical talents, they have good morals/values. Their parents are doing a great job at raising them right. I hope all is going well for you across the pond. Thanks again, take care.

So, this seemed a really appropriate way to honour them both and, at the same time, gifting the Banjo-lin to Savio, in remembrance of them.AS long as he keeps it in his growing collection of instruments, they'll never be forgotten.... @@paulhyde1834 Hi Paul, my name's Kregg from Phoenix. Very kind of you to get a hold of me and leave me such a wonderful message. I mean I talk about the word kind, what a very very kind thing that you did sending that to savio. This world definitely needs more people like you Paul, and yes I think these kids are wonderful. I don't know a lot about things but when it comes to music I'm there. Started collecting records when I was five and am now 66. I'm a night owl so I was actually playing music just as I picked my phone up and saw your message, of course I must use headphones as it's 1:30 in the morning and I live in an apartment. Also I wanted to add my auntie used to play guitar pre-World war II so my family tells me. They say she was pretty good. Well I'm babbling on too long so anyway thank you for getting back to me and all the best.
