- Pro Cycling Manager 2021 is a sports management and simulation game that puts you in the saddle against the world's best riders. Using the PCMWorld Database 2021, we play a pro cyclist career with a stage race specialist. To make the game more challenging, not only do we play on extreme difficulty, but we will stick with the same team - Hagens Berman Axeon - for the entirety of the career.
The best secondary axis for a Stage Racer is the Sprinter. I've done in the previous versions, and it's OP. You are a true Stage Racer plus great sprint(70-75), which destroys other Stage Ragers in Grand Tours.
Hagens Berman for life! The original home of channel legend Kevin Vermaerke! Also, I do think there is an extreme difficulty mod, I am not sure how good it is but it might be worth a look!
Bit late to make this point but the one time I would advocate developing potential is if you want to be an Eddy Mercx. Basically it would involve starting with Northern Classics primary, Climber Secondary and then develop climber again at level 2. This gets you to 80-81 mountain most of the time (the difference between 79 and 80 mountain is big) and almost every other attribute is competitive bar recovery (69/70) which you can easily do without and win almost all races (although you may not develop TT enough to win the worlds). Hill will be 78/79, TT will be 75+, sprint will be 75/76, acceleration 80+ and cobble 80+. A very fun build imo. because all races are of interest.

Just so you know a new feature added is when you press attack a effort bar appears the can control how hard you attack.

Starting to watch this series as well, not sure if you will see this comment. If you do, is there any reason why you only considered climber and TT as your secondary? Puncher, baroudeur, sprinter were other options you did not seem to consider
Last year I did the difficult role setup. This year I wanted complimentary roles and to instead have the difficulty focus coming from staying with one team throughout.

Experience gained monthly "through training" what I haven't checked is whether it changes your development ceiling or not.

It determines your potential. In the database you can have a potential from 1-8, 8 being the highest. In general the pogacar/roglic guys of this world have a 7, grand champion is 8 and the other levels are 5-7, so with grand champion your stats will grow a lot more/you are more OP
