Right?! I've been saying that about sleep token. I've been a fan of tool for 27 years now. My uncle introduced me to them when I was 7, and I have not found a single band or artist in those 27 years that has me enamoured like Tool does. Until Sleep Token.

Same here! Tool is always my go to but since this album came out and I became aware of Sleep Token I have been listening to them nonstop. (But I did listen to The Grudge and Right in Two this morn so Tool won't think I have deserted them, ha!)
Vessel just has an incredible, sexy voice that he can use in many different ways. It makes him special and unique.

He is definitely influenced by chino in some ways vocally while still being his own unique singer, and i love it!

@@darkraven2544 Will Ramos does a good cover, but doesn't even touch Vessel's version. Will's cleans are overrated. He is a amazing unclean vocalist, and a ok clean vocalist.
You definitely need to check out the Will Ramos (Lorna Shore vocalist) cover of this song too! For the next Sleep Token song, I'd recommend Hypnosis or Alkaline.
My first reaction to this song was very similar my brother. It was my introduction to Sleep Token. I said this on another post, this is the reactions channel for ST that i come back to.

I find it mind blowing that on the personnel on their new album it’s just two people for all instruments. Vessel 2 is a beast on drums and then everything else guitar, bass, piano/keyboard, lyrics, vocals is all Vessel. Dude is pretty talented to say the least

@@ryanstockley9495 No they’re all credited for playing live but I don’t think Vessel 3 and 4 did anything at all on the studio recordings
@Ryan Stockley Vessel and ii are responsible for all the writing and recording. iii and iv (bass and guitar) have always been strictly live performers. That may change. I hope so. ❤
This is the first song on their setlist. Found out today that my three older brothers also like sleep token too. Can’t wait to see them in December. Thanks for the reaction 😁
I love this song and it effected me the same way. Their song writing is brilliant and 1000% invokes emotion. Love this band!!! Chokehold is one of my favs. For other Sleep Token songs, Aqua Regia, Hypnosis, Alkaline, Atlantic, The Love You Want, basically anything. Ive been listening to these guys for the last year or so and I have yet to find a song by them I dont like.
Love love the intro to this track! Hoping for Calcutta Music Video at some point, their longest song and best song in my opinion 😅

Sleep Token is a band where I've had the feeling for a long time that I'm really excited when new music comes out. And I'm always amazed how hard the songs are despite mostly clean vocals!
They’re heading to the US from October time. Only a couple of festivals announced so far, but they will want to do more than that if they’re travelling from the U.K. totally recommend seeing them! 🎉

You really should listen to Aqua Regia from their upcoming album, like you, I've just discovered their music and began with the summoning, then Chokehold then Vote and I didn't give any chance to Aqua Regia, I'm telling you it's a pure song that reinforces the fact that Sleep Token master many styles with so much elegancy and virtuosity. Always enjoying your videos, keep them coming up 🤘

Betcha they’ll announce a US tour just before or just after the album drops. No way they don’t come here this year with how popular they’ve become. For your next listen, consider Alkaline, Gods or Jaws. Compared to what you’ve heard so far, Alkaline is a lot like Chokehold and Gods is a lot like Vore just in overall feel and approach. Jaws is just unlike anything else. It’s an absolute drumming masterpiece with beautiful vocals and a sick breakdown. Enjoy, and worship!

It was like me. I heard it and yeah, it was good, but I grabbed and put in a chokehold by this song. It ate me alive and took fully control.
I wish I can wipe Sleep Token from my memory so I can discover them again.

Sleep Token are so good. Some of their tracks, this one included, have a little Deftones flavor.
You've listened to The Summoning, Vore, and now this one off of the new album, Take Me Back to Eden. The three other singles that have been released from that album that you haven't watched the videos for yet would be "Granite," "Aqua Regia," and "Do You Wish That You Loved Me."
Listen to them as soon as possible.
Then go back and listen to "Atlantic," "Like That," "Descending," "Hypnosis," and "Telomeres" off of This Place Will Become Your Tomb."
Then go back and listen to "Dark Signs" and "Sugar" off of Sundowning. You already listened to "The Offering" from that album.
Then watch the videos for "Jaws," "The Way That You Were," "Calcutta," and "Nazareth."
No two songs sound the same or comform to any genre guidelines and you'll love all of them.

Will Ramos version is better and this on is very good
I’m in the minority. I don’t like Vessel’s voice. I prefer Will’s cover to the original. I’m not saying Vessel isn’t good but something is jarring to me about his voice and he’s flat on some of his pitches.
Infact I found Will to be flatter on many pitches for this song.
