On the recordings it’s actually Vessel playing the guitars, bass, piano…. Everything is him, apart from II on the drums and percussion. III (bassist) and IV (guitarist) join in on the live performances, although it’s rumoured they are officially becoming band members.
I contacted the program director at a radio station here on long island ny. I askes them why they weren't playing sleep token. After that they played the summoning on a Saturday night hard rock and metal show.
Fact Check: Yes, they have been on both Liquid Metal on XM radio and also on the Music Choice Metal channel on cable. Glad they are getting the attention they deserve. Great review, gentlemen.
Yeah i totally agreed that, Sleep Token reminds me a lot of a bunch cool things Tool didi, thats a huge influence for them. And if you guys wanna go deep in this rabbit hole, in Sundowing album you will find “Higher”. That could easily be an A Perfect Circle song. Drums sounds a lot like Josh Freese style in The Noose, its really amazing.
I understand relating them to Tool. I think a lot of it is how they structure things. Talent plays a big part as well. I think they are special. They are a vibe and its one of those "if ya know ya know" type of things. I look forward to following them.
