I didn't understand how when I saw the thumbnail; but now I get it. You're basically combining classic tuck and roll and.. I call it "candy striping", the alternating colored pleats

I wonder what is faster...to stitch the panels to make the loop and then slide the foam inside the channel? OR... to already have the foam in that channel and then sew the vinyl or leather around the foam as it is already in place.
I do like the accents between the channels! I may do this with my Mustang one day (or month.... or year?!) Haha!
    Thanks for the idea!
I can also see LED strips in these as well
I did something similar with the phosphor coated wired accent lines. Where the kit came with crazy glue to glue it on the car panels. This was around the time with Neon lights under the cars. I stitched some boat window vinyl and made my own lighted cording as opposed to leaving glue everywhere. I stitched this into my 1991 Escort Gt door panels above the factory blue line. At night the door would open and along with the interior light....the door panel lit up. As well as the visors. I put a strip of those in the same clear vinyl and left the selvage long to capture the added cording to the visors and had that wired up in the same circuit with the dome light.
Technology has definitely allowed some more customization with the interior of the cars.
With the LED strips (vs the tiny wires) they definitely put out more light.
    Again. Thanks for the video!

Not only do I think your work is incredible, but I also love the way that you teach, the way that you make challenging tasks seem achievable when broken down to their simplest form… and most importantly the way that you inspire me to try incredible things with your words of encouragement.
    In gratitude 🙌🏻🪡🙏
