They leave space in there so you can adjust for the 30-7/16 center. The trick to getting washers in there is to hot glue them to the frame before you lift it into place...works great! Your videos really helped me install my first MVP3 stainless!
With our Fisher, the tow hooks and the mount took the same realestate so( for warranty purposes) the hooks went. I hate having a 4wd with no dedicated recovery points. Come spring 2015 I will figure out how to put something on. Our install is on a 2014 Ram 2500HD .I was GM but now we are Mopar. We have his and hers Jeeps and trucks. Great videos! Wayne
Is that all is needed to hook up the plow I’ve seen some trucks with the receivers on the front of each section are those necessary to hook up the plow to the truck?
Thanks for this vid. Getting an '03 2500 Suburban and need to do the truck side for my Ultramount plow. My question is, did you have to do any drilling for these mounts? When I installed the mount in my '99 (GMT400) Suburban, I needed to drill out holes.
Hey Moss man I am having trouble doing this with the same brackets and same year truck as yours. Do you have any videos that show underneath your truck where they mount up. Or any photos? Mine won't clear the sway bar. Not sure if I have the wrong mounts or not. Any help would be great.
If you have a 99-10 2500/2500HD/3500 this is the mount style you should have. When you buy used mounts people sometimes don't know what they fit. It should bolt up just fine without hitting anything except the factory plastic skid shield if you have one. Tow hook mounts are used then one mount towards the back on the front cross member.
Going to be hard to find one of those. Everything uses the ultramount now. They use to make an ultramount to unimount adaptor but they don't make that anymore either. Might be able to find one on Ebay or maybe your local Western dealer might have something.
I ordered a Dremel kit but I don’t think it has the trim bit. Can you sent a link to the trim bit piece? I used a metal cutting wheel but it melted the plastic lol
Hey Bud this video much needed right know thanks saved me some money question do you have the wiring video or do you know where I can get a easy reading one for 2003 Chevy 2500HD
This is the wiring video Western MVP3 Truck Side Wiring Install on My 2002 Silverado . I also did a wiring video on my dads 04 Silverado. Basicly the same other than the selondoid mounted under the hood. Western Pro Plow Install on Dads 04 Silverado 2500HD Duramax
You have probabally already got it solved but i had the same issue on my fisher ( same wire harness ). I had the positive lead from the pump running right to the battery. It needs to be attatched to the solenoid to be switched.

Glad to help. Now we need some snow :)
Impact guns make life so much easier!!! Nice mount, looks a lot nicer than the other one! You can barely notice the new mount!
UnitCrane514 Air is a must if you do much mechanic work. Love the Western Ultramount.
Fantastic - that's a huge pile of boxes. Look forward to the electrical.
Steve Rob Wiring video should be up in a few days.

Like what you do. Got a question or two if you have a chance
You can ask a question. I will do my best to answer.
Those mounts look alot better.
Jeff James Yes they do.
I have a 2000 silverado 2500. Where do you suggest I find a unimount mount for my western? I'm swapping the plow off a 2001 ram.

What did you use to cut the plastic shield and valance?
Dremel with the trim bit works great on plastic.
Thanks again :) I might order a Western wideout and install it myself.

What did you do to your bowtie? It looks like a transparent black. I like it!
+mifan93 I smoked it.
Mossman381 ok I'm having issues with the wiring when I installed it when I plug it in it forces to the right any suggestions?
+Dylan Douglas I have never had that happen. It moves as soon as you plug it into the grill plugs?
You have probabally already got it solved but i had the same issue on my fisher ( same wire harness ). I had the positive lead from the pump running right to the battery. It needs to be attatched to the solenoid to be switched.
What size are the bolts for the mounts?
+Dylan Douglas They are the same size as the tow hook bolts I believe. The ones that go back to the frame are a lot bigger.
Why are you getting a new plow ???
austin myers Already have a new MVP3. This is the plow I really wanted.
mossman381 how did i miss this vid? but anyways NICE JOB. :)
Thanks
mossman381 ur welcome. :)
That's messed up my dually did not come with tow hooks!!
Black duramax dually Your truck probably had them. Someone in it's life must have took them off.

Veikra I might have to if dad doesn't pay me for it. :)
