Ah, sorry for that. Just power the Arduino the usual way we power it (using DC in jack for voltage higher than 5V or the USB port if the supply comes from phone charger, PC or powerbank)
Hi, I've several questions, because I've the same connection but 3 batteries 14500 (3.7v 1500 mAh), and the voltage drops so much, then after 20 seconds I've no power. 1) You have connected battery -> arduino -> l298n.... in the diagram . arduino has no power and battery -> l298n ???
Ah yes, please add the connection between the battery and pin VIN of the Arduino. You can share the +ve terminal of the battery at pin +12V of the L298N motor driver, and connect GND pin of the motor driver to GND pin of the Arduino. For the power drop, either your battery is worn out or you have short circuit somewhere, please check your circuit connection.
So there might be two things 1) Power source 2) Maybe The motor itself 1) We need more current like I remember I used a 6v and 5mah battery If you are using power source more than 12v plz plz remember to remove cap for the 5v voltage regulator (in the L298N module) 2.1) It's very unlikely to happen that the gears inside the bo motors might have been broken or the slipped from their position 2.2) Look for motors with more rpm

the app is very glitchy, keeps on disconnecting and the joystick is very stiff... u need to drag the center ball so far to make it go full speed, but the damn ball doesn't wanna stretch so easily
Hello, the reason it keeps on disconnecting may be caused by insufficient power to your Bluetooth module on the robot car. Try to use LiPo battery instead of other batteries such as normal AA or AAA or 9V batteries, and if possible use separate power to the Arduino and the motors. To increase the sensitivity of the joystick ball, you may need to alter the code in the Arduino code inside the process() function. Try to comment these lines: y = constrain(y, -255, 255); if (fast == false) { er = map(y, 0, 255, 0, 255); } else { er = y; } Hope this helps. Thanks!
@@nudgeme4844 thanks alot, much better now... also i was using a 3s 2200mah lipo, and the nano was getting power through l298n 5v o/p... i checked the voltage drop of that 5v output underload but it was 4.9v-4.95v... maybe it were the power supply jumpers to the Bluetooth that were causing it to lose power by moving and disconnecting for a split second.

Hey from the diagram goo.gl/m7E8RR, try to connect the battery to VIN and GND pin of the Arduino beside connecting it to +12V and GND pin of the motor driver.
Hi, the project works perfectly but i was searching some information about the code to know what you did to make it work but I don't understand anything hahah so I want to ask you if you could explain me a little bit about what you did please.
First time I tested the LED and BUZZER version of your software the ABC buttons didn't work.... Digital pins 2,6,7 are declared and connected as the outputs. int pin_Buzzer = 2; int pin_LED = 7; int pin_LED2 = 6; So why is this part referenced to A0, 11 and A1. I presume I need to change it?... "); StateLED2 = !StateLED2; if (StateLED2 == true) { digitalWrite(A1, HIGH); Serial.println("LED 2 on!"); } else { digitalWrite(A1, LOW); Serial.println("LED 2 off!"); } Serial.flush();
Ah yes, you got it right. I forgot to modify the A0, 11 and A1 parts. Now I have corrected it and saved as the same document (goo.gl/AQtt3d). Thanks for notifying me!
I am working on a 4WD rover currently and using 2 more motors controlled by the buttons on the app. I am just confused because in the wiring diagram for the 298N motor driver there is already a pin plugged into pin 5 but you are saying to plug the LED into pin 5 as well. Should I just change the code and plug the motor/LED in somewhere else? And does the other pin coming off of the motor/LED plug into a ground or should it go into an ANALOG Input?
Ah you are right. I had overlooked it and just changed from 5 to 7 for the LED pin in the code's update (thanks for that - a credit has been given to you). Just move the LED to pin 7, and let the motor stay at pin 5. The other pin that coming off the LED should go to the ground, not the analog input. Hope this helps. Thanks!
One More question: Is it possible to control motors from the motor driver with the buttons a-c? I am trying to do this right now but coming across some issues.
Yes, you can see the example at minute 0:32 in this video: ruclips.net/video/QQZ_SQd9YHc/видео.html I have modified the code for you and you can get it here: goo.gl/88PcCL
Yes you can. Maybe you need to check the connection of motor driver to the Arduino, see either you are using the correct pin on the Arduino (refer to the code) or not.
Regie Lagumbay Yes, it should be a supply to the Arduino too. In the video you can see that the DC in jack supplies the Arduino with 7.4V but not the shield until I connected a pair of jumper cable from VIN and GND of the Arduino to the +12V and GND terminal of the shield. However based on the diagram I give in the video description above, this time the battery is connected to the shield, not to the Arduino because I assume that the Arduino is powered by DC jack in or USB supply from the power bank (the GND of Arduino and GND of shield need to be interconnected in this case). So what you need to do is just connect the positive terminal of the same battery to VIN pin of the Arduino and the negative terminal to GND pin of the Arduino (so now the same battery supplies both of motor shield and the Arduino) and please make sure that you connect the positive terminal of the battery to VIN terminal of the Arduino, not to the 5V pin, otherwise your Arduino will be damaged. Hope these instructions are clear, sorry for any inconvenience and all the best to you!
Nudge Me Ok, now i think my connections are already fine and i got another problem in uploading the program. As of now im using only my android to send program to my arduino and there is an arror on compiling. Error: void loop()' previously defined here Return code is not 0 I cant coppy all the errors written here. That one i stated there was the last line of the error.
To upload the code to the Arduino, you must disconnect the wire from TX pin of Bluetooth module to the RX pin of the Arduino as shown at 2.06 in the video. This step is required as the RX pin will be used by the Arduino during the uploading process. After the code has been successfully uploaded, then you need to reconnect the jumper to the pin. This step is required every time you want to upload the code to the Arduino. If you have done this and still have problem, then I think maybe it's caused by incorrect setting of your IDE. Ensure that the correct Arduino board and COM port has been selected through the Options menu in the IDE. Finally, check either the code is correct too. Don't do copy paste, instead just download the code given above and upload it to your Arduino. If you copy paste, you need to clear all the lines existed in the sketch before pasting my code, otherwise it may find 2 instances of void loop which will generate error to the IDE.

Franscine Althea Longanilla Yes, as long as the batteries can support the motors to turn. It is advisable you use rechargeable batteries as the AA batteries won't last as long as the LiPo.

Nudge Me hi bro i already did it but i have a problem when i press any button like x y z it controls the car and after that it will not work properly after i press any buttons .
Yes, you do. Just connect LEDs to the available Arduino pins and trigger them using buttons on the joystick app. For example, connect a Red LED to pin A0, a Yellow LED to pin A1 and a Green LED to pin A2. Make sure the anode pin goes to the digital pin on the Arduino and cathode goes to the Ground side. Pressing Button A once on the joystick app will make Red LED turn on and pressing it once again will make it turn off. Similarly the same thing would happen to Yellow and Green LED with the pressing of Button B and C. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Sanjeeb Bharali Hi, you need to make sure your computer firstly recognize the Arduino by showing com port number through Device Manager window. If it doesn't, then you need to install the driver first. The driver file can be found in the Drivers folder inside the Arduino folder.
Sanjeeb Bharali But looking at the error code "avrdude: ser_open(): can't open device "\\.\COM1": The system cannot find the file specified." it shows that you were using COM1 when uploading the code. So in the IDE, go to Options, choose Port then select COM3 from the list.
I think it's about the way you save the sketch. The name of the sketch file must be normal letters. Try to save your sketch as myrobot.ino and see what happens then.

Can you send me code , unable to get from Google drive
can I use other type of battery like AA instead of Lipo?
Franscine Althea Longanilla Yes, as long as the batteries can support the motors to turn. It is advisable you use rechargeable batteries as the AA batteries won't last as long as the LiPo.
Hey there. Can this wirk with arduino nano? Please help me as this is my school project and I have no much time. Thanks in advance and BTW ur work is nice and u earned a subscribe :D
Hi, any kind of Arduino will do.
And what number of wires are those ? :(
+Christian Ayag Hi, you need to refer the attached circuit diagram in the video description to know the pin numbers involved.
Can i control this robot with my voice using voice controller app?
Rowena Valencia Why not if you have such the app.
can this code work with bitblue app? im using ios device so i cant find this app at the appstore
or do you know any app that is compatible with ios and also uses joystick.
Hello, I'm not so sure about the bitblue app. Ah yes, btw for the time being this app works with Android only. Sorry about that.
Does the code 100% working ? Sorry its my first time to work with this crafts don't want to waste resources . Please reply :(
+Christian Ayag Yes, the code published is 100% working like used in the video.
Nudge Me thank you so much 😄😃
your code link doesn't open when i click the link but drive is loded .after downloading i can't open the file
Strange. It works fine with me.

how to add servo motors and controlled
Hi, i've already added that in the video description above.
sir what is the purpose of the buttons a, b, c and x, y, z. can i add additional functions to it
+Franscine Althea Longanilla You can use the buttons for any purpose, such as activating horn, lights or actuators on your robot car or any other functions you like. For example I use the buttons for my omnidirectional robot to make it rotate to the left or right and activate the ball kicking mechanism.

Can I use geared motors instead of this motors
Chetan Jadhav Yes, as long as the motors are supported by the motor driver
Can you give me code for obstictle avoiding robot of your colour dectuction robot
hi
if i use HC-05 insted of HC-06 is it will work with same coding ?
Yes, it should work with the same way
Is it compulsory to buy the app???
For the full version, yes. If not, you can continue to use free version but you will need to face the 3 minute time limitation
hi, is there an app for I`OS that i can use ? thank you very much
Hi, for the time being there is no iOS app for this one. Sorry 🙏😔
can you use 9v?
Yes, you can.
alguien tiene el diagrama?
Bhai muje 5 dc motor control karni h to konsa driver lu
Ayan Mansuri connect one directly from the arduino board and rest from l298n
bro remember the circuit you gave to me for my project?. is it ok for me to connect the ground in l298n to the ground of arduino.
Flix Mowry Yes. The ground of both L298N and Arduino should be connected to each other.
Nudge Me ok bro I'll try it thanks 😂
Nudge Me hi bro i already did it but i have a problem when i press any button like x y z it controls the car and after that it will not work properly after i press any buttons .
whats the cost of battery?
The 7.4V LiPo battery is not so expensive yet not so cheap
Bro showing file is not found
Hi I retried it and the link is working fine
the app ask for money help me please
Can I use a normal 9v battery
Yes
@@nudgeme4844 thanks for the effort
AMAZING WORK MAN
Welcome & thank you too :)
can we add lights to the car?
No, it will spontaneously burst into flames, you will go to jail and lose all your possessions. Of course you can, what a stupid fucking question.
Good luck!
thanks for the advice.
You are welcome.

Bukan, tapi Malaysia gitu
hey! This is the error message I'm getting...

This report would have more information with

option enabled in File -> Preferences.
Sanjeeb Bharali Hi, you need to make sure your computer firstly recognize the Arduino by showing com port number through Device Manager window. If it doesn't, then you need to install the driver first. The driver file can be found in the Drivers folder inside the Arduino folder.
Hey my computer shows arduino conected via com3 port in device manager! but still cant upload the code.
Sanjeeb Bharali But looking at the error code
"avrdude: ser_open(): can't open device "\\.\COM1": The system cannot find the file specified."
it shows that you were using COM1 when uploading the code. So in the IDE, go to Options, choose Port then select COM3 from the list.
Hey! thanks...i changed it and could upload it...
Sanjeeb Bharali Bravo 👍
Ide won't let me upload the codes to sketch ,it says Sketch must only contain basic letters and number Ascil-only what does it means?
I think it's about the way you save the sketch. The name of the sketch file must be normal letters. Try to save your sketch as myrobot.ino and see what happens then.
Thank you Sir you are an amazing person, thank thank you
how to buy the the full version joystick the apps that I got was only good for over a minute

I got an error
Franscine Althea Longanilla What error did you get?
Nudge Me I already figured it out and I did it, it was a great project
Franscine Althea Longanilla So glad to hear that :)
I get a error to compilate sketch in arduino, error stray 342 in program, how to i fix this?
Hi, it means that you have unknown "342" word there. Find the word and delete it. You may be have an accidental typo there.
