i also read Where the Wild Ladies Are as well and do not remember many of the stories now. love hearing all of your thoughts!!!! elena knows is amazing!!!!! my tbr is also climbing exponentially 😂
Hah what a fun door bell sound. Ohh Drive Your Plow as an audiobook would be good, yeah. Loved that one. I bet The Trees on audio could go either way. There wasn’t an audiobook when I read it. Sounds like quite the successful month really. Reading the crème of the crop eh.
I really want to read Elena Knows, it sounds excellent. I liked Case Study but must admit that I was slightly baffled that it was long listed (even though he's been nominated before). I did find the biographical sections a bit dull!
I am currently listening to The Trees and I have to say I am not the biggest fan of the narrator. I also find it a bit confusing on audio, I think it's a bit hard to follow with all the characters. Totally agree about the middle section, so I can't wait for the last fifth! I've read Drive Your Plows... a couple of years ago and really liked it, also fo its political commentary, but my favourite by hers is still Flights.
Yeah I can understand that, I also found all the characters a bit confusing on audio, especially when you start moving around the country. I hope you enjoy the end section! And I'm really excited to read Flights now, although also intimidated 😬
So glad I found your channel today!
I think you might like A Visit from the Goon Squad. It's also a novel pieced together though various stories. It's excellent.

I'm trying so hard to get a handle on it but it just keeps growing lol

Yeah was a good one!
A bit of a crime/mystery theme this time. Interesting
Yeah very much so

I think you’d love it! Yeah I was kind of confused by it being longlisted too, like it’s good but not mind-blowing?
