Thank you!! Awesome video, you totally explained what I’ve been searching for. I have the same ‘94 580 SK. I didn’t know it had 2 fuel tanks… whoooo, I thought I screwed up by putting it in the reservoir tank, all my labels are gone, and it’s a total guessing game trying to figure things out, but you almost covered all of my questions. I only have 2 more questions. 1) what the button on top of the front bucket control arm. 2) what is the small pedal between the gas pedal and break? Thanks again!!! Awesome job on the video… spot on
@@jimmartin4639 1: button on loader control and shifter on mine are torque converter disconnect, so you don't slip it in neutral to stop it from moving while doing loader functions. 2: i don't have it but I believe that pedal is for differential lock on the rear axle. No problem, thanks for watching 👍

No problem. I just check it cold, off. Not sure if there is a spec on how but its just a transaxle on here kinda like a 806 farmall or similar tractor. Thanks 👍
Ok thanks. Reason I'm confused on mine. It's a 1982 580D. Dipstick is the same as yours. Is when I check it cold with eng off, it is wayyyy over full. When I warm it up than check it, it's not even on the dip stick? I do not have a manual or any stickers telling u how to properly check Trans level
@@aaronmueller8602 I am not for sure but it is possible that is slinging the oil around to different areas of the trans and it appears low. Possibly a case construction dealer could find the correct procedure. Good luck 👍 No problem 👍
Hi. Can someone help me please. Owner of Case before me lost dip stick for checking transmission oil. I make new one. How long have to be in centimeter? Or in your country is inches. I have Case 580.. year 88.
On the 580sk, there is a plug on the bottom of the right frame rail. I recorded a video about changing the hose on the pump but haven't got it edited yet 😪
@@AndyFromm how much you think that needs more power because many ask in machine shops if they would get a good deal and its only need to drill cylinders little bigger and messure all and order new piston and set ring cap to right size, and that will bring little more power and another way its to find right cylinder head to that engine what already have drilled bigger and then just buy right size pistons and ring cap it right size and set it up.
@@broo_shs it is probably around 50 hp right now, you don't have to do all that work on here. as long as it is in good working order, just install a turbo and add some more fuel. I would be happy with 80-100hp. That should be quite doable since my M has the same engine but has a turbo. It make around 100-120hp.
Thanks for the video!!!
No problem
did you get all info what you asked i hope so.
Love the backhoe. One my favorite years for the 580 Case! Good Video!
Although it has its moments, I really like it.
Thanks Dalton 👍

Andy great video! You should do one for greaseing the entire machine including underneath the machine! Thanks
Thanks, I'll see if I can do one someday.
Great video Andy! I have the same backhoe and this video definitely helped!
Thanks, no problem 👍
Great overview Andy.
Thanks Larry 👍
hola el aceite hidraulico y de transmisión son el mismo? por donde se hecha aceite a la transmisión? por donde esta la varilla?
gracias

Question: Your machine does not have a power steering pump?
@@MrHammGutsnGlory it has power steering, I assume it's just part of the crank driven main hydraulics. I doesn't have a separate pump.
Is the rear dipstick fluid level in the transaxle separate from the front eyeglass level.? Are they separate? Do i have to check both?
Yes they are separate, I would check each.
Thanks

Whats the difference between the 580k construction and the super K ?
I can't say for sure. Some say sk was turbo but mine is not turbo.
I'd say mostly some changes in control layout and possibly a different transmission
Thanks for the video. How do u check Trans level? While cold not running? While idling warmed up?
