As a bmw guy I’ll just throw on an e torx, even I never have the right socket
Only one way to stop those thieves from stealing people's cars, introduce them to their maker.
😂😂😂
Thank you for your service in advance.
I think this just influenced a whole new generation of gta
Just hope you know the law, some states don’t acknowledge the car being apart of the house so if you shoot and kill that’s murder, maybe DA drop it to secondary manslaughter. Just be aware of the laws. Like I said not all states have your vehicles as apart of the castle doctrine. Let the insurance handle it.
You’d have to catch them first 💀

Kill switch

You are now free to do 100% of the service work to your car yourself. Thats the neutral switch so the technician can service, test and diagnose multiple systems on your car.
If you need to “delete” that then you should move to a better neighborhood before you invest in a nice car. When you make it in life not everyone that came with you can go with you.
Good thing I'm a mechanic, unless you're a technician with atleast an hour to spare to diagnose a no start, you won't take any of my vehicles lmao.
Lmao all it takes is a hidden location kill switch and with these new cars a way to lock it out of neutral. My 25 year old Lexus naturally locks out from being shifted at all without the car being turned on. But even new cars just need a lock out from neutral when not powered on and a hidden kill switch. Tbh Toyota even doesn pretty good with their anti theft systems. My 25 year old Lexus is harder to steal than almost any car ever made since. My new Nissan would be 1000x easier lmao. Hell my Lexus is a bitch to even get into if you lock your keys in it. It autolocks constantly and if you flip the lock while the cars locked like locksmiths do to get your keys out it will set off the alarm instantly and autolock faster than you can possibly open the door by yourself. And the windows are pillarless so it’s already hard as shit to even get the pump in to make space to even get a hanger or tool to pop the lock to get to that point 😂 just to finally get in with the alarm blasting after 20 minutes trying and then not be able to even shift it out of park. And if you drag it at all, instant alarm. Cant get in a single part of that car without the alarm going off. Best anti theft system I’ve ever seen and I’ve owned 37 cars thus far 😂 new cars they just made so damn easy. Even my JZX is pretty damn hard to steal and that’s just a Toyota and a manual with no neutral lock out like Lexus does with their cars. My Nissans are a little easier but still way better than most cars built anymore and way better than any dodges lmao.
@Josh Roi my saab 9-3 is similar. Tilt alarm, glass break sensors, interior motion sensors, etc
@@joshroi8610 I don't know the extent of the security system in my particular 98 jag, but the framed windows are beefy as hell, I locked my keys in it once and I couldn't get a wedge or pump into mine without damaging the trim, like alot, and it's more expensive than a window, so I opted to break the driver's side window out with a tire iron, and the window just ate it up until I got tactical and hit it right on the corner, (I also forgot to mention that I never realized how loud the horn on it was until I heard it from outside the car, the damn thing will wake up the dead if you're not careful where you use it lol) drove straight to the junkyard with safety glasses and replaced the window for $50 the same day. Older cars are great man, especially the luxury models, you just gotta maintain them, just because they're old and devalued, doesn't mean they require as little attention and maintenance as a Honda from the same year.
On my 04 Z you could break the window and the alarm wouldn't go off.
nothing beats a kill switch, other than a tow truck. then you're screwed, remember
unfortunately most guys who steal these don't need(or want) to start them up(noise), they are just rolling up with a tow rope, smashing window, throw in neutral and pull away. kill switch won't matter in most cases and most of em know how to jump power to bypass a killswitch.
You do know that just puts it into neutral, right? And most cars have this, so it's not some special tab you pull to steal. It's so that you can tow the car if you dont have a key.
People are busting windows, pulling that release and having someone in another car push the now stolen car. Typically pushed to a location to hook their laptop into the obd2 port and program a new key to start the car & drive away.
@@Bama_Boy and how are they unlocking the steering wheel? Fail
@Gary with a stiff jerk to the wheel. It's not hard at all to break a steering wheel lock.
@@AverageCitizen333 that doesn't work. I've been a mechanic for almost 25 years and know the inner workings of steering wheel locks. you're not breaking that hardened steel pin just by giving a sudden "jerk" of the wheel. Feeling man enough? Go try to break yours just by doing what you said. you won't be able to😂.
@Luke Griffin ive been a mechanic for 20 and in the junk yard we do it all the time bud. Its not about being manly, its about yield strength. Hardening metal makes it hard, not strong. Its easier to snap because its brittle. Ive done it more times than i can remember.

I used to pull up in the tow truck and just tow it from your job parking lot. If they want it, it's gone

This a thing on most Chryslers now, you pull the chord and it puts the car in neutral. Only thing covering it is a plastic piece that clips in. It’s a “security feature” that prevents the driver from putting the car in neutral while the car is off.

Going to add 20 seconds extra at most for the pros to whip that out the way! Probably the most effective thing to do to stop them would be to unhook to manual release lever on the gearbox!

@@serenitymelendrez5646 always a possibility, and the more we try to protect the vehicle the thieves just move on to combat the next step! At least if the manual release is removed then the car has to be jacked up to reattach the cable or to attach a new device to pull the lever!

Rip it off and slide it out from the side. Just remove and relocate the whole release latch.
Best part about this is the car still has valet mode and you need a code to get it out. You can steal the car but at this point a civic will dust you.
That won’t work it could be removed easily. Best way to deter car theft is a kill switch, put the switch in a good spot.

That 454 casull bust like a tank
.500 carbon
An old school steering wheel lock does wonders. Yes it can be cut with a saw but will significantly slow down or deter the theft. Even if they turn the car on, they’ll can only drive straight. You can also slightly turn the wheels as if on a Hill/slope in a tight spot where even a tow truck can’t just pull up & back into your car. Make it much harder for the thieves.
They should make a aluminum around it underneath the plastic that is bolted down underneath the car with strong locking mechanism to access port
Thats why i pay Lexus 80 bucks a year.. To track my car and notify me whenever my car is being messed with.
Yes that puts it on neutral.. there’s better ways
The neutral override isn't stopping any one from stealing this car

If they really want it it's gone no matter what
No it’s not a nice gun shot will stop all that
Nope. If only they knew how to design anti theft systems like Lexus. You CANT steal my 25 year old Lexus ES300. The alarm would be blasting for the entire 20 minutes it would take the best thief just to realize they can’t shift it into neutral at all without the car turned on. Doors autolock constantly, even if you have the right tools. I’ve had a locksmith help my get my keys out of it once when it was locked in, took 20 minutes and the alarm was blasting the entire time and it took both of us.
1. Pillarless windows, hard as hell to get a pump in to even get a coat hanger or tool in to hit the door lock
2. The second you hit the door lock unlocked it autolocks again and sets off the alarm, so you need two people, one to unlock it and one to open the door instantly as fast as possible after hitting the lock.
3. Once you’re in and the alarm is still blasting after 5 attempts to get the door open finally, it will not shift out of park without the keys to turn it on.
4. If you tried to drag it in park it’ll instantly set off the alarm.
If you try to get the hood open it’s near impossible to do so and would instantly set off the alarm. Same with the trunk so take your guess where the battery is and hope you get it right because you won’t have more than a few minutes with the alarm blasting before you’re caught anywhere. Then you would have to disconnect the battery and drag it onto a trailer or flatbed. You’d never get it started, or shifted out of neutral. And I mean literally never.
So again, it’s possible to make a car impossible to steal without being caught, and Lexus is the only brand I’ve known to do so correctly and extremely well.
Not how they stealing them lmao
