    Wait I never seen this tool before! That is really cool! Thanks for being so detailed with how you start the Icord and to end. This definitely changes the game! It’s definitely quick and easy!

    Excellent I bought it yesterday but don’t know how to work it well

    I have one and it does work with UK DK yarn. It won’t work with yarn any thicker than that. You need to start slowly. After cast on make sure you put the weight on. For the first few rows, pull the yarn at the bottom frequently to make sure the stitches don’t bunch up around the needles.

      Mine actually onky works up to sport weight, lol. This is the cheap version so I understand, hahaha.

    I am threading and starting my 1st and 3rd needle as instructed, but once I get going on all four needles it is all staying on the outside of needles etc instead of going through the tube. Any suggestions welcomed please. 🙂

      Make sure you’re also holding on to the yarn because it gets out of place when if’s loose. If it’s still not working, try another yarn, maybe it’s too thick for the device.

    I bought one but i find it really hard. It tangles all the time but it seemed so easy for you. Anyways i would like to know what wires should i use for making an embellish wall hangers?

    • @KatsHooksBrushes

      Sorry to hear that. You may try doing it slowly at first making sure that the needle releases the the thread before it picks up a new one because if you watch it slowly you will notice that how it works is that the needles catch the thread then as you keep cranking and the needles revolve around, they release the thread and catch again, so that’s tge cycle. Sometimes, the needle won’t let go of the thread completely before catching again, that’s when it tangles. I’m not sure if I’m explaining it well, I’m sorry. As with the wires, there are different sizes or thickness, it would be better if you can personally go to a craft store to check so you would know which one you think can retain its shape depending on your design. Some are too hard and thick that it’s hard to bend them into shape. Sorry, I couldn’t be much help as I don’t know the exact sizes of wires but in my experience, I bought a wire that’s too flimsy or soft for my liking but it worked anyway when I doubled or tripled the wire to make it thicker and hold the shape.

    I love using my Icord machine and the speed is wonderful BUT I am having trouble with the length of Icord below my weight is curling back on to itself. Now I am spending hours trying to untwist the length of cord. Do you have an idea what I am doing wrong?

    • @KatsHooksBrushes
      @KatsHooksBrushes  3 года назад +1

      I made a really long icord before and I used a cord tamer to hold the finished length. If you don’t have one you may just wrap it with a rubber band. It’s hard to explain but it’s like with your phone chargers when you need to put it in your bag or something, you roll it or wrap it around your fingers then use a cord tamer or rubber band to secure it. So the part that’s not bunched up in the cord tamer will be the only part rotating, if it gets too long again, include the newly finished length to the cord tamer. But you have to be aware of the added weight as the bunched up cord might already br too heavy at some point that it might affect the tension, you might not need to use the weight/clip at some point. I hope I’m making sense. It’s hard to put it in words.

    Hi, can I use a 2mm yarn on this?

    • @KatsHooksBrushes
      @KatsHooksBrushes  2 года назад

      What yarn weight category is that because I’m not really sure if it’s already thick. You may check on the label. This device that I have which is a generic brand doesn’t work well on yarns thicker than fingering weight. Some of the branded ones I guess may work on thicker yarns but this one doesn’t.

    Mine only wraps around the tube and doesn't actually form the I cord.. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

    • @KatsHooksBrushes
      @KatsHooksBrushes  2 года назад +1

      Make sure that you start it properly like in this video, after that part where you skip 2 hooks you just continue cranking and make sure that every hook catches the yarn, try to watch the video closely and observe the movement of the hooks. Also make sure that your yarn is not too thick or too thin. Try other yarns than the one you are using. If you think you did everything right and the hooks/needles are not moving the way they should maybe the device is deffective. If my video is not very clear on the movemnets of the hooks, you may search for other videos, maybe a more detailed step by step or slower demonstration.

    Hi maam. What wire did you use?

    • @KatsHooksBrushes
      @KatsHooksBrushes  3 года назад

      I used mercerized cotton crochet thread and the other one also shown in the video is a fingering weight cotton yarn.

    • @KatsHooksBrushes

      Hindi po kaya ang makapal. Mercerized cotton po yang nasa video, Monaco 3 ply na lace weight lang. Tapos fingering weight na 8ply fine cotton, kaya din.
