I've got mice in our house. I've seen one on two separate occasions in my bedroom, not entirely sure how it got in but I have a cupboard in my bedroom with the boiler in there and the floor in the boiler cupboard is bare floorboards with some gaps inbetween them. So I guess the mice came in through there and squeezed under the boiler cupboard door gap and into my bedroom. One night it woke me up at 4am chewing on a box in the room, I put my phone light on and there it was a tiny mouse but wow do these creatures move fast! It ran under my bed and despite pulling the bed out and my desk I could not find it again. I've heard scratching noises in the attic too so they must be able to travel through the wall space and up into the attic. I'm going in the attic tomorrow to see if there's evidence of mice like droppings and torn up insulation. I would be surprised if there isn't.
@Mzmzmzm Sndjs yeah and I've got rid of them now. I caught 4 mice in traps. Not heard any more scratching so luckily there must have only been a small family of them. If any new mice come back I've got the traps ready to use again. Mice love peanut butter they can't resist it on a trap.
I have been battling a mouse for weeks. Tried glue traps, mouse traps, electric mouse traps, poison, coin and glass, multi catch traps, the bucket and spinner and this SOB mouse must be the most intelligent breed out there. And we had a similar one years ago. I actually can catch it walking around at night if I sit still watching a show with headphones on. It will sniff at each trap and just move along. I wish I just had a net to manually take a shot at this thing. Any suggestions please let me know! We have 2 little girls and one is crawling so it is a nightly and morning ritual to clean poop and remove the traps.
I'm assuming it was either food they didn't like or there was human scent on it so they avoided eating it. If you ever get mice again. They're main quest is food. If you can find out where they're nesting, set up a trap nearby with high fat/sugar food (I used peanut butter granola) use a spoon so there isn't human scent on it. I placed it in those electric mouse zappers which are approved by PETA. I left the device off for a few days, so they see it as a safe place with food supply. I noticed they stopped wandering around the house when they had a steady supply of food. Its a bit more of an expensive trap but it's humane, it can be reused, it's effective, hands off and more hygienic.
@@marybell2002 thanks! We actually used an electric trap and I placed it by our door on the side of the house after noticing some plastic shreds from a weather strip I placed. I set the trap right next to the door and got it next day 👏🏼
It'll help you a lot to learn about their behavior as well. They like narrow spaces near walls with shadow over them, meaning you can create a 'welcoming' area with box with hole (about two quarter wide) or plastic sheet placed over your trap near wall. Make sure your trap is in the shade even during the day. Also, wear surgical glove, then wash your gloves with water (no soup or any product), then proceed to making the trap and bait. Human scents are known to last 2 to 8 days and will make your trap less effective. They also avoid area with large animal activity so making yourself scarce from trapped area until it's caught is also a good idea. There are lots of good bait but ones with sweet scent works the best. My personnel favorite is half spoon of peanut butter with one or two walnuts wedged in the middle. It lures them both scent wise and visual wise. They tend to avoid foreign dense object so sticky thin trap will work better against bulky snap trap. To make them trust your trap, put similar size/same colored object around the trapped area. It familiarizes the rat to the object quicker. For entry point, use nightvision CCTV and eye inspection to find their point of entry/nesting area. Can't hurt to check outside of your house too. Also keep in mind that they can nest inside furniture, drawers, cupboards, and under sink as well. Ones that only seek warmth of house won't deviate far from the entry point, but ones that actively seek food will crawl all over the house so keep that in mind. They detest ammonia, deodorant, or perfume so use that in non-trapped area around your children until pest population is under control. Lastly, never assume they are gone after catching few. Rats follow other rat's scent for safe passage so you are more likely to get recurring invasion until you seal the entry point and take more preventive measure around the perimeter. This is as far as I know but consult professional channel and cross reference ideas until one works. Good luck! Keep your loved ones safe.
I'm so scared I seen 2 mice just run into my room I put sticky traps down 7 of them and it's not doing squat, it's like they know not to get caught in it or something

I have 8 glue traps in my kitchen and he is still not caught...I've barricaded him in there and plugged holes...he must of hid food somewhere or he would be dead by now dang it!!
Gluetraps are forbidden in the Netherlands because the mouse is suffering long, i got one and hit it on the head. Sometimes other traps dont work: the beat is taken out without clapping.
I don't want either! btw rats and mice don't discriminate, they'll enter any house, doesn't mean you're dirty. Pls send help.
I'm having problems catching one mouse in the kitchen. It has been two weeks now. I caught another one before him on a sticky board and put it in a bag in the bin at night and threw it out in the morning. My question is: 1. Did the dying mouse alert the one that's alive while he was dying? 2. Did the one that's alive 'smell' the situation and is avoiding it? 3. I layed so many traps. Is he picking up my scent and avoiding them? It has never taken me this long to catch a mouse.
same thing happening here!!! I got one out but the other one got into my fridge...so I finally threw all food away but he could of hidden food in back....i need the poison my mom says they do eat it...
@@gabbydreyar8534 unfortunately it could get unstuck. But I think it's rare. 2 months ago 1 got stuck on a glue trap in my kitchen. But the next day my parents said they couldn't find the mouse :/
Basically here’s tips because during winter mice are going to come into your house. Also don’t kill them now reasons why you shouldn’t kill them is because that could alert more mice just to come into your house. Basically I’d say get hamster food and this is for if you don’t have cameras, but you have mice so basically you’re gonna want to get a piece of paper and make sure you have hamster food now I’d say put a little bit on it and in the morning if there’s not on there, it was probably a mouse and then if the best solution is putting up a trap that won’t kill them that would be good or you could just start taking care of them and I don’t know
Peanut butter is the best bait. Had one 2 days back. Caught the guy in one night. Peanut butter and bread is great for the container based traps where the mouse runs into a container with no way out.
What type of glue trap was that??!! All I ever see are the black ones...I have one in my kitchen that runs around the damn things ...set 3 in its path one night. It saw them and avoided them lol
What's crazy is I live in my sister's apartment. My mom and my sister daughter stay there. She never cleans up (really messy person) and that's how mice occur. I'm nervous to walk around the apartment, thinking something will jump out at me.
you should clean up then!! someone has to! they have diseases...if there are crumbs everywhere they will just keep multiplying... they are terrified of us too so it shouldn't ever jump on you..
Mice are terrified of humans, they will do anything to avoid us. My old cat was a cruel fker he used to bring mice back and torture them in the kitchen. Real life tom & jerry😂
My cat has brought 2 mice to me like she’s trying to bring me food or something 😂 I didn’t know I had any mice before, she’s my automatic exterminator 😂
I love my 😻 but 🤦🏻♀️ she likes to hunt mainly at night. Brings mice in through the cat flap, plays with them, then eats them (sometimes leaving me some kidneys or intestinal bits to clean up 🤢) She also forgetful in her old age and leaves them. I now have a problem with several mice in my kitchen/lounge area 🫥 I don’t like to kill them (so I’m using a couple of humane mouse traps.) I’ve trapped 6 in three days. I just let them free outside where my cats hunts them (but the cat flap in on a one way swing…out. I do wonder if I used the soda & cheese method, would it harm my cat that “eats them” hence no poison use too.
I remember when i put my shoe in halfway through seeing a living mouse staring dead at my eyes inside the shoe underneath my heelbone .i got ptsd from that after whenever i take my shoes i will either throw them far away to check if theres any mouse or ill have someone put their hands in and check.another mouse ptsd was when i was vacuuming the room and a mouse ran out of the vacuum cleaner, got ptsd from that again and refused to vacuum , then when i had no other option but to vacuum my mother and sister were telling me 'just vacuum theres nothing there we all are cleaning' i took the vacuum and vaccumed and then when i finished and was taking the vaccuum cleaner to the storage room a mouse jumped out of the vacuum cleaner-.-
I saw something black moving way too fast yesterday, but was doubtful. But today I saw one mouse peeking from behind the table. Now I am terrified and since avoiding to go to that particular room.😭😥

you're lucky my mouse must be a genius because I have 8 glue traps and he avoids them he can't get out ive blocked everything but i still hear him every night!! I call him Gus Gus..
I wonder if snake owners just let a snake or 2 loose every night to get any rodents when they see one, although they probably worry about diseases with the mice. I'm just glad I have 2 indoor cats, and several outdoor cats I got fixed and saved them dying from starvation. Ever since 5 years ago, I have no issues with mice! (I have a sewer at the bottom of my house, unfortunately that brings all the rodents.)
Glue board is last resort mate, u cant unglue them without using oil and u have to manually use hands and remove them from glue. I am also facing same issue but dont wanna use glue board because i cant touch them but i had to in few days.
Glue boards are the best. I have a bunch in my utility closets in my basement to catch bugs and when the weather starts to get cold I almost always will find 1 mouse caught and most likely already dead.
Man i just saw one on a wall mounted cabinet in the kitchen it jumped like 3 metres to another mounted cabinet. Now i know where to trap that nasty as ratatoille.
I had one in my kitchen couple days ago. Two cats were useless lol and I ended up trapping it in a box and then released it into the garden. My kitchen looked like a rubbish tip afterwards it caused chaos 😂
Now would RUclips allow me to post a video of me placing a big piece of cardboard out with three inch deep super glue formula showing me catch cats and kittens to dispose of? I mean their just cats
I have a mouse in my house but he's hiding we will catch him don't worry we already caught one with a trap it caught his leg it's like 3,4,5 left one tiny one big we will get them no need to call rat control we got this when the rat comes out we will tape up the holes it gets to so it won't escape one was out today he was tiny he went back under the bathroom cabinet hole again and the other one came out and ran back in again he came out so quick me and my sis ran so fast no cap plus get mouse traps and glue traps plus the rats might have rabies and fleas plus even I heard it a rat squeak or if the rats are mice

"not entirely sure how it got in", Mice can get into any house, they fit through the smallest holes.
Just saw one in my garage. Had one in my house for the past two weeks. Plugged the holes and it went away so far. Maybe it just found a way to get into the garage lol. Great
Omg I saw two mice in the living room! I'm gonna go trap them!
Only 1 mouse im my house so far, a million glue traps. Cant catch the damn thing. Just keep seeing it shoot out from diff places . I now feel like its my pet at this point. 🙄
Michael jackson had several pet rats😂
Use glue traps and block their entry points with steel wool. I killed 19 of them and have only seen one on a glue trap since (in the past year).
andrew sheh i saw one yesterday close in the living room. I set up traps but its been two days and no sign. Do you have any recommendations?
Anthony Efraimov the lil dude probably found another home lmao
if u have 19... call pest control or try to move out cuz....
Anthony Efraimov get poison
I have 8 glue traps in my kitchen and he is still not caught...I've barricaded him in there and plugged holes...he must of hid food somewhere or he would be dead by now dang it!!
Gluetraps are forbidden in the Netherlands because the mouse is suffering long, i got one and hit it on the head. Sometimes other traps dont work: the beat is taken out without clapping.
Bait
Human scent. 1 thing I've learned is you MUST WEAR GLOVES WHEN REMOVING TRAP FROM PACKAGING AND WHEN BAITING
Just got 2 today and sticky traps work BUT you have to fill the hole they came in.
Wish I had mice... we got rats :C
And i'm mad because we are clean people. ugh. rats are gross.
@Brian Luong yea and they sometimes chase u plus they aggresive he needs a feral cat
@Kevin Suleiman 😂
I don't want either! btw rats and mice don't discriminate, they'll enter any house, doesn't mean you're dirty. I have mice because I used to leave my windows open and only recently saw mice climbing walls, getting into windows very easily and getting in from beneath the smallest door gaps! Scary stuff.
Right, they just walk in like they own the place
I know right my house is clean but we still have mouse
right as that mouse hit that glue trap he yelled out "Fuck..." XD
I've been have a mice problem for about about a month now and I caught the mouse which I was really happy about it until I saw another one zoom across my kitchen floor to under the stove.....great
they come in 2s or 3s or more they say 🥺 if you see one look for the other...I hate them!!!
@@stephenieblackmontaeniemon6569 it’s alright I moved out lmaoo
I’ve tried glue treats snap traps non lethal. He won’t fall for anything. Any ideas????
How did you dispose of it?
I fling them out back into the woods. I had a two fer one on the glue board. frisbeeee!
@@eringardner4962 DUDE STOPPPPP 😂😂😂
Ehh I just keep them in the garden or throw them over the wall, it comes off the glue trap in less than a day. I keep some in the garden BC there is a little like place where we store all of our old stuff so ye
Bro I use a flame thrower on them and when it’s winter I put them in snow

I made a contraption once crumbled one of those turquose square things then mixed peanut

I was just watching some random RUclips videos cuz I can't sleep (it's 4:32 here lmaoo) and i was just laying down on my bed and I thought I saw something but I just ignored it.. but again I thought I saw something and I looked at it and it was a rat- it was on my sofa idk how it even came in my room and got up there and now I can't sleep the whole night cuz I'm scared it might come up to my bed while I'm sleeping 😭
Oh he'll know I hear yuh id'e be packing my 🎒 bags byebye 👋
Hell not he'll
What is that they are entering and exiting through in the corner? Do you have a gap in your vabinet door or something?
We have mice in our house dropping dead every day, without the use of traps, and idk why
Their probably starved to death
it happened to me just now.. im not sure if it was a mouse or a really fast lizard.. it was just a fuzzy gray shadow in my peripheral vision.. :/
once i was in the living room watching yt on my phone and i kept seeing something move but i just thought it was the fly which has been stuck in the house for like bloody 2 days and then i looked and saw a mouse run on the floor then i screamed and ran upstairs
Did you use a motion detection camera? I’m worked That the camera I have won’t pick up mice moving around, but then again, it detects shadows & dust
Oh remy i'm so proud of you being a chef and i will pay you money if you cook food for people
I am pretty young and I heard something behind my bed, I ultimately thought it was a mouse because we'd had mice problems in the past, in my room to, we'd put rising foam in the little hole SO HOW THE HECK DID IT GET IN, AND WHY IS IT TRYING TO EAT THE RISING FOAM?!?! so I go to get my still awake brother and he doesn't care, and mind you, i have in-person school tomorrow and its 2 am and I knew my dad would be pissed if I woke him up for a little mouse at 2 am. So I go back to my room and shine my flashlight in the corner I heard it in, there it was, a little brown mouse, at this point I'm freaking out, i go to look again, it's gone, i now hear it nibbling away again and i dont know what to do. Pls send help.
Did you end up getting rid of it ? I’m scared I’m my room because I heard one in my kitchen and I ran so fast
@@ashanloki9925 Not yet..
burn the house down jkjk, I suggest putting glue traps under the bed and in the corner or something.
Force yourself to sleep and after u finish school and go get traps, adopt a cat for long term mices issues.
Go to sleep don't worry& oh....pray he doesn't crawl in bed with you they like to be warm& get under the covers I've had it happen once
I'm having problems catching one mouse in the kitchen. It has been two weeks now. I caught another one before him on a sticky board and put it in a bag in the bin at night and threw it out in the morning. My question is:
The glue traps are always the best ones
@Nex Wex 3 As far as I know, all glue traps kill mice? I don't see them ever getting unstuck from its
@@gabbydreyar8534 unfortunately it could get unstuck. But I think it's rare. 2 months ago 1 got stuck on a glue trap in my kitchen. But the next day my parents said they couldn't find the mouse :/
The mice here learned to move around them or put stuff on them
@Nex Wex 3 Not me. I want the mice dead. Glue board then guillotine with a shovel
Logic
Can they jump straight on the counter?
Can they come through the fireplace?
Can someone tell me how to dispose of the mouse in a humanely manner? If it’s still alive on the trap?
Flush
|Everyone| just watches the vid
|Me| scared I'ma hear a snap from the mouse trap
I had three traps loaded up in our attic. As I was laying in bed i heard one of them snap shut at 1oclock in the morning..lol
What camera was used in this recording? There is a mouse in my room I’m trying to catch.
I have catched like 9 already in the past week, this is a new record, i need more traps, send help
What type of glue trap was that??!! All I ever see are the black ones...I have one in my kitchen that runs around the damn things ...set 3 in its path one night. It saw them and avoided them lol
What do I do if there is a rat in my bed!?
What camera did you use
Hi, This camera is a Camera 360 D603, but you can use any camera that has night vision.
I have a mouse in my bedroom and I’m terrified to sleep tonight
I use the glue, after all else failed but the killing i must do to prevent suffering is horrid.
How do you do it? I’m expecting to have this problem soon
@@jacobdichter5871 Pop them in the head with a hammer. I guess.
What's crazy is I live in my sister's apartment. My mom and my sister daughter stay there. She never cleans up (really messy person) and that's how mice occur. I'm nervous to walk around the apartment, thinking something will jump out at me.
They’ll most likely run before they jump at you
you should clean up then!! someone has to! they have diseases...if there are crumbs everywhere they will just keep multiplying... they are terrified of us too so it shouldn't ever jump on you..
Mice are terrified of humans, they will do anything to avoid us. My old cat was a cruel fker he used to bring mice back and torture them in the kitchen. Real life tom & jerry😂
Been at this for a month with a webcam, mouse ignore all traditional trap, all bait. Also won't go anywhere the glue traps. I'm at a loss
Glue trap: YOU FELL FOR IT FOOL! THUNDA SPLIT CROSS ATTACK!
A day later it probably came back . Honestly I would have drown the damn thing
My cat has brought 2 mice to me like she’s trying to bring me food or something 😂 I didn’t know I had any mice before, she’s my automatic exterminator 😂
She’s bringing you a present she’s thankful for you. My cats bring birds and lizards it’s pretty cool
I remember when i put my shoe in halfway through seeing a living mouse staring dead at my eyes inside the shoe underneath my heelbone .i got ptsd from that after whenever i take my shoes i will either throw them far away to check if theres any mouse or ill have someone put their hands in and check.another mouse ptsd was when i was vacuuming the room and a mouse ran out of the vacuum cleaner, got ptsd from that again and refused to vacuum , then when i had no other option but to vacuum my mother and sister were telling me 'just vacuum theres nothing there we all are cleaning' i took the vacuum and vaccumed and then when i finished and was taking the vaccuum cleaner to the storage room a mouse jumped out of the vacuum cleaner-.-
Omg really? That's crazy shit

peanut butter will work 1 time out out 100 . i do carrots celery cucomber and works !
One little bastard chewed into a thick plastic strawberry jam jar in my cubboard.there was also a plastic jar of PEANUT BUTTER& didnt chew into that he felt like strawberry jam😅
How was the mouse disposed? I'm curious.
Yes blue boards are the best way to get rid of mice
I prefer the battery operated traps. Sometimes mice are still alive on glue traps which freaks people out, or they starve to death which makes me sad.
I prefer the red ones
There's a mouse on my living room it went under the couch and will not come out!!
Did you end up catching it ?
i have that same kitchen floor!

Bro I just saw a mouse in my kitchen and I ran out so fast what do I do someone please help I’m scared and im not going near that thing 😭
I think bro became ratatouille but the bad ending😂
I caught one with a glue trap in less than two hours after putting the trap.
you're lucky my mouse must be a genius because I have 8 glue traps and he avoids them he can't get out ive blocked everything but i still hear him every night!!

@@ashanloki9925 SAME i just see it zoom past
what do you mean disposed in a "humane way" how did you do that?
Why wouldn't you just start off with the glue board, since you knew it would work?
Because you have to deal with a mouse that’s alive and screeching with a glue board.
@@iluvkiki5322 Good point.
@1:42 the tragedy of a house mouse 😢
The way it Cry's breaks my heart!
That kinda gross
screw that mouse
it's a necessary evil though!! they carry so much diseases! I have grandbabies...it is sad! I cant catch the last one! he is so smart!!!
That’s how I caught mice when there was an infestation in my apartment complex caught 2 in 1
Man i just saw one on a wall mounted cabinet in the kitchen it jumped like 3 metres to another mounted cabinet. Now i know where to trap that nasty as ratatoille.
I had one in my kitchen couple days ago. Two cats were useless lol and I ended up trapping it in a box and then released it into the garden.
My kitchen looked like a rubbish tip afterwards it caused chaos 😂
I put traps and glue boards, hiding behind my stove. It’s gross, I hope I get it
haha the glue always works!
not for me!! 😢
Now would RUclips allow me to post a video of me placing a big piece of cardboard out with three inch deep super glue formula showing me catch cats and kittens to dispose of? I mean their just cats
Thank you for sharing this!
I got a lot in my house they gang me😢
I have a mouse in my house but he's hiding we will catch him don't worry we already caught one with a trap it caught his leg it's like 3,4,5 left one tiny one big we will get them no need to call rat control we got this when the rat comes out we will tape up the holes it gets to so it won't escape one was out today he was tiny he went back under the bathroom cabinet hole again and the other one came out and ran back in again he came out so quick me and my sis ran so fast no cap plus get mouse traps and glue traps plus the rats might have rabies and fleas plus even I heard it a rat squeak or if the rats are mice
I'm so scared, a mouse came inside my house and it jumped on me. Karate kicked me and ran upstairs I'm now on my bed terrified.
Spray pepermint oil mixed with water.......they will go away. Also inspect your house for holes and cover the holes with foam
