I like the Guardhouse box idea for the gold capsules. With all the different MM coins and capsules, it can get frustrating organizing everything. Great video!
all gold goes in capsules. as for silver, i always buy a couple loose of each year of everything and put in capsules. full tubes stay in tubes. i have two children, so i always buy an even number of everything. whether it be a certain type of coin (down to the year) or a kilo bar. that way, it will be much easier for them to split someday

I'm a firm believer in hiding in plain site. Put my constitutional in used prescription bottles to save money and makes it easier to keep track lol. I have alot of silver coins in capsules that have been bought in auctions. I need to purchase some of those bigger red tube capsule holders to be more efficient to hold my airtites.
Prescriptions are the 1st thing stolen.

I’ve seen that box many times at harbor freight and just passed it right my seeing how you store that in there makes me want to go get one now. Great video with great tips.

In a fire plastic is gone. A ammo can has a chance, even if the metals inside melt, at least you have a chance of recovery.

I gotta get more boxes for my collection. I do have a few things in a shoe box.
I had a roll of silver quarters Clearly labled next to many rolls of clad and my lady took them to the bank to deposit by mistake..
LUCKILY I found out quick and called and was able to run back and grab them.. Dont put 90 percent in paper rolls..bad idea
Where you store it doesn't matter providing nobody knows you have it.

I save the large delivery boxes to keep my tubes.
The Apache boxes are nice, the 2800 can get very heavy so I opt for several 1800s so the wife can move them if need be.
I use old army ammo boxes. Find them in flea markets.
Paying to store something makes no sense at all to me unless it's very short term

Have you ever had any moisture issues using those hard cased boxes with the foam padding? I have thought about it but I’ve seen firearms rust away from that particular style case.thank you
There is a dial on that style of box that allows you to control if it’s airtite or not (you loosen this if you are taking the case on a flight). Not sure how effective the airtight seal is, though, if you’re saying it’s caused firearms to rust then I’m not sure!
@@silverbarstacker appreciate the reply.I should have been more specific. I meant to say any moisture issues due to the foam padding possibly retaining ambient moisture.That’s what I suspect caused the rusting issue.
@@pyrocouple5703 I have a couple cases just like this but not the same brand. Identical design, though. They are waterproof, so when the airtight dial is locked, no air or liquid can enter.
