Next week, I plan to prepare my subscribers’ modern classical pieces. I have not decided it yet. How do you guys consider it? Thank you!! Have a great day!

Schubert left behind about 600 secular vocal works. Liszt liked his piece, so, with his pieces, Liszt left lots of piano arrangements. Are there any pieces you guys like?

I really like Liszt's arrangement of Ständchen by Schubert
I really love how the melody line is more prominent than the accompaniment. Makes it sounds far more graceful, rather than just a messy jumble of notes
most songs are like that... not including liszt's lol
Thank you for your words, Xander Blamey!!:)💕
@@magicl2807 it's not a song
Its a PIECE
@@angels5449 Actually, because this originally had vocals, it is a song.
@@afriendlymusician3829 nono. It is still a piece. Chorale pieces are still pieces. But technically they're all songs so....
Can we just appreciate for a moment how clearly she plays the melody in the middle voice without letting it blend with the accompaniment, and how smoothly the main melody switches from one hand to the other... 💕
Your usage of the word, "WE," is about YOU,
and about you trying to insinuate your superiority.
Or, it refers to you and the mouse in your pocket.
Nah.
The condescending use of the word, "we,"
is indeed patronizing and pretentious - and creepy

@@user-hz5yb4bh5v It is obviously not his intention to sound that way, also the use of we is referring to the viewers not just himself. He is simply pointing out an observation to others, so we can appreciate the playing of Kassia and how good of a pianist she is.

I never actually watched someone play this before and I just learned that the melody switches between the left and right hand while going up and down starting around 3:37!! To correctly emphasize the correct notes sounds like it'd take some major practice
Thank you for your comments, Anna!:)💕
Yes, but not as hard as it looks because you use your thumb for the melody throughout that passage and can shift your hand weight easily :)
Yep, it's called the three hand effect, and it's pretty impressive. Another Liszt piece that does something similar to this is Un Sospiro, though bringing out the melody in that one isn't as difficult as the section you're referencing. Liszt has a lot of pieces that have a melody line alternating between hands, though I'd argue not all of them do or are meant to achieve the illusion of a third hand.
Voicing is one of the hardest aspects of piano playing to master. This is a stellar rendition. Bravo Kassia
@@altaiaurelius it’s not unlike the 3rd Liebestraum
You voice this so beautifully, Kassia, and the pacing is exquisite! The Liszt version is no walk in the park, but there was no point when the difficulty seemed to even slightly constrain expression. Bravo!
Hi, Luke!:) Thank you so much for your words. This piece was harder than I thought. But, personally, I liked this piece.
@@Kassiapiano this piece, i dont know why but something about it gives me the chills. its beautiful and all but if you listen to it in darkness while relaxing with high volume, it becomes haunting and terrifying

@@Kassiapiano I agree wholeheartedly. Technically, this piece is a monster, but it's so beautiful that I can't seem to want to give up on learning it. The 2nd verse is really frustrating, though.

I hope you pass your test =)
I love how you play with so much expression and genuine interpretation. Often times when many other pianists use these visualizers, they play technically perfect, but it’s missing so much emotion. That is not the case with you. You always play as if you are at the Kennedy Center sitting at a Steinway grand playing the performance of a lifetime. Keep it up!
Thank you so much for your words! It means a lot to me!
From the great pianists of yesteryear to this era, Kassia's performances are so good, her style is perhaps one of the best that anyone can hear nowadays. Impeccable as always Kassia, it's a luxury to hear you play the piano.

This is beautiful, and almost brings tears to my eyes. My grandmother used to listen to this piece every single day, for over 50 years, as did her mother before her. Sweet memories, and magnificent piece.
This is the piece that introduced me to classical music
I just printed the sheets today to try and learn it and oh boy will it be a ride. The control and precision you need to carry the melody throughout the song like you did is insane. Excited to learn more!
Have you learnt them?
I cannot count how many times I've listened to this the past week - your interpretations remain my favorite among pianists uploading with this kind of set up on youtube right now, you have such a distinct style! I love it
This has to be one of the greatest Liszt arrangements of all time, this is nothing short of genius, absolutely incredible to listen to.

Muito bom mesmo, parabéns
There were no radios or non-stop music playing for people during the 1800’s. Liszt was one of the most famous musicians of his time. People often commented and wondered how his music sounded like it required three hands to play. It was literally magical to people back in the day. Listening to all of the note and watching the lights really highlight the complexity of the work, and the wonderful performance of Kassia to give the illusion of three hands.
Is it not well known that his hands had six fingers?
Seriously this is blowing me away. I didn't even think a real person was playing it. So fluid like water over the keys. That is so difficult. Must practice all day 🌞and night 🌛
Liszt's arrangements are always Great, and with a Great Pianist like you they become even Better! Thanks for your performance! ;}
