- Today I'm taking He 177 with Fritz X, Scharnhorst battleship, and Emden Light Cruiser to naval EC battles.
Fritz X German guided anti-ship glide bomb used during World War II.
It was the world's first precision guided weapon deployed in combat and the first to sink a ship in combat.
Fritz X was a nickname used both by Allied and Luftwaffe personnel.
In War Thunder only German He 177 A-5,and He 111 H-6 can carry Fritz X bombs. Cool stuff.
Scharnhorst-class battleship at the moment is the most armored ship ingame. Discount Bismark as I call it ;)
She's a tough cookie, but with pretty weak guns (only 280mm) for such a massive beast. For example same br HMS Hood has 380mm big boy cannons. So you have to be pretty accurate with Scharnhorst to compensate for lack of post pen damage.

As someone who plays a lot of naval, I’m glad there’s a content creator as big as you who doesn’t just use naval as a joke. There are lots of things that could be improved, but it’s still pretty darn fun!
Lately for me most exited part of the new major updates is naval stuff.
While WT naval is not perfect, it's still fun, and I see a lot of potential in it.

Honestly I would love to play more naval. I played a medium ammount of WoWs and that was really fun. But whenever I try to get started with naval almost no one plays it. Like ususally the first few vehicles are researched super fast, but without any naval game experience it's gonna take me a lot longer to unlock new ships.

Yeah the past month I pretty much only played Naval, especially since it earns me decent Silver Lions, which makes the grind for planes and tanks more bearable.

Fun fact: the Fritz X had so much power that it once completely punched through a cruiser and then exploded under the ship in the water.
Yup, It punched right through RN Roma.

They also added a button for your scout plane to circle, so it won't fly off to Australia anymore when you want to control your ship again for a while.

Yuh know buddy, when you have those super heavy planes taking off... get your tail wheel off the ground asap and then raise the flaps. With a level fuselage you will gain speed faster to get off the ground easier =)

I dont know how you'd put tanks and ships into one gamemode and it working properly. Tank players already have to deal with CAS, I would be quite unhappy with running around my tank map and getting temper temper'd by a full 16 inch broadside.

when going for ships with bombs it's always best to go with impact fuze or as short as possible, the "bug" with the bomb "sinking" into the ship doesnt work anymore

Well the frtz x is an anti ship bomb, it should be able to penetrate deep into the ship, but not in wt I guess..

I'm surprised how much sea battles give you pleasure, I still can't convince myself about this mode although I love ships, I remember the times of Enigma Rising Tide, I loved this game so much

Naval is my favorite game mode. It would be really cool if they could integrate submarines in a way that was balanced and let me relive my silent hunter days. Such a fun game.
There's datsmined submarine voice lines, guns , and other stuff. Also I 400 Japanese submarine name were in the files. The devs working on it we jus have to wait and see ;)

small hint on planes: you can use flaps to help you while taking off and landing.

Fritz x has been updated, now the ejection altitude determines the penetration value from 98 up to 200mm.
