- Well French navy is here! Kinda sorta...
War Thunder recent "Sky Guardians" major update added first French navy ships, Aigle destroyer, and Duguay-Trouin light cruiser. Only pre-orders at the moment, with full tech tree in later updates (hopefully the next one).
So today I'll be taking Aigle destroyer , Late 298D torpedo float plane (from Winter Quest event), and M.B.175T torpedo bomber to drop some torpedoes on enemy ships, and hopefully to get some hits.
It's about time for French Torpedo-Man to cause some chaos in naval battles!

Advice to Le Torpedo-Man, approach the destroyers+ with a low approach and head on to neutralize most of their AA abilities. Lead in the front of the hull to nail the middle-back.

Really only interested in the coastal stuff myself, but I am so glad its finally coming! The battleships should be cool too.
They haven't gave use any coastal premiums, so I feel like we'll have to wait for that

one thing I realize after the new update, torpedo don't leave a trail anymore so it's impossible to see them coming
not sure if it's intended or not but it makes torpedo much more dangerous

Steam power torpedos used to leave a trail
and we had that
but the trail disappeared in this one
looks like its team powered but the more newer version of torpedos that were used during ww2
You can only see steam powered torpedos easy.
Electric powered torpedos makes very little trail.

the problem with the new smoke and transonic water vapour effects is that gaijin have effectively made it so you are constantly ESS'ing yourself. With naval, you now have a whacking, great, fluffy black line running up the middle of the entire screen. Permanently.

Good day DOLLAplays, Let me just say you might need better target acquisition for your torpedo bomber as in one set of clips you decide sure lets target three incredibly dangerous frigates that are quite evil to aircraft.
• Type 41 AA Frigate HMS Leopard F14
• Köln class Frigate Lübeck F224
• Pr.159, SKR-1
Also the
• Akebono class Destroyer Escort JDS Akebono DE-201 (although it was a fluke that it got the kill).
Still I guess a bit of luck was in play that you didn't meet a soviet corvette like a Pr.1331M as AK-630 goes BRRRRRTT.
Anywho your gameplay is always a great watch even if some of it was fighting those poxy Kerch bots (ohh how self harm seems more joyful then playing with teams full of them).
You know I've been thinking but what if the next crafting event is a french dreadnought?
