This story was first watched back in 2006, and I had almost forgotten most of the storyline. Anyone got any channel for me to follow back those golden age of anime era? I just wish to have my childhood years to be remembered.
God, the deen anime always makes me want to cry I don’t care what people say I the deen anime is truly the best adaptation especially when it comes to emotional scenes and music
Deen's FSN sure had its flaws, some very significant. However, this ending and its emotional impact sure wasn't one of them. I think this is a really fitting ending for Arturia, and a great callback to King Arthur's eternal sleep within the mythology, waiting to be awakened when most needed. By Shirou, in this case, to complete their story of fated love, as she finally moves on from her idealized kingship and the chains which held her to the world. She waits in Avalon, but it's also a great metaphor for her death, as this scene and her closure in the Fate route show.
Correct me if I'm wrong but is this saber the only one who really moves on by being a king and goes to Avalon? Forever waiting for shirou. I mean the fgo saber artoria definitely still have kingship she just moves on in wishing for the grail to save Camelot and she never goes to Avalon since she died and became a heroic spirit unlike saber fate route who forgoes becoming a heroic spirit so she can wait for shirou in Avalon and same also to the other version of artoria alter, lancer, alter ego, Archer etc they all died and became heroic spirit instead of going to Avalon Also maybe one of the reason they choice to became a heroic spirit instead of going to Avalon is because they still wanted to serve and help unlike saber route artoria who is fulfilled already and the only one thing missing is shirou and the only possible way to meet him again is going to Avalon and forsake becaming a heroic spirit

@@Magic.God.Othinus I don't think its really a matter of choosing herself over her kingship, to begin with in Fate VN her intention was to select another king thus eliminating "King Arthur" from history, as she really believed selecting another would help (humility taken too far I guess) If anything, in Fate VN she accepts the results of her life and is able to move on into eternity, and only Shirou was capable of making her let go of those regrets she had which kept her stuck on that last hill at Camlann.

@@mightymoon6791 anime shirou is still pretty good, even if not nearly as much as the VN There's a line between appreciating the source material and its depth, and being an elitist for it. Be careful that you don't stumble.
I prefer Shirou x Saber more but the VN definitely focuses on Sakura and Shirou's relationship the most. Saber and Shirou parallel each other in their shared flaws, but Shirou's love for Sakura is instrumental for his development. And likewise, her love for Shirou is about the only thing that let Sakura keep her humanity growing up in spite of her circumstances.

Yess I legit was gonna abandon fate sn after like the second episode, because I really thought it would be extremely disappointing compared to fate zero.. I'm so grateful I continued to watch it..

Honestly, UBW was Terrible, the Story was pretentious, Rin was a B*#@πy heroine when compared to Saber or Sakura. And even Ufotable's Animation was lacking especially in the second season.
Man, this route needs a remake, it may even be the weakest of the three, but i really like it. Their romance is something that needs Ufotable' attention, it's an impossible dream, but i'll aleaus be waiting
