Thanks for the video! What a great show! Thor was definitely the strongest, but didn't get to win this time...

Holy shit, from this angle it looked like Singleton got SOO robbed on his last deadlift attempt. What did the judge want? A shrug as well with 900+lbs? An overhead press? xD

@@3X73RM they had strict rules that they went over with the athletes before hand. The fingers had to stay wrapped around the bar so you dont let the straps do all the work. He didnt keep his fingers around the bar

it was a alright comp it wasn't as hype as last year if you were there too. there were issues with the stones, axel and squat. it was meme to see like half of the competitors zero all the events.

yea the axle mess up was not good but the rest of it I felt was fine. But I didn't really see a problem with the stones since several of the athletes were lifting them. Squats are iffy... I mean Hooper getting 10 reps tells me he was just more adaptable to the equipment. Thor should have gotten more reps but I kind of feel like he didn't feel like pushing 100% with the other events coming. That's just my theory. Overall I really enjoyed it and I thought the judges and crew did great. Athletes all did what they could as some of them had some injury issues.

Thor is a fucking beast, Hooper's squat was shit (no depht) I can't believe the referee counted all his repetitions and why the Thor"s dumbell was not counted

Depth was the same for everyone. It was set so that everyone went down to the same depth. Hooper is just better at adjusting to the equipment and he is one of the shorter athletes of all of them. All they had to do was bring it down for the green light, which he did, and push back up for a complete rep. He was able to position himself so that he could do it. As far as the dumbbells.. they all knew the rules. You have to bring it up with one arm and hold it at the top for at least a second without moving your feet or bending your elbow. Thor was not able to hold it long enough in a straight elbow position.
