Thank you for taking the time to do this! It was better then me throwing my treadmill out the window (teehee). I have the EXP 14i and my reset button was on the bottom left. I first tried with a paperclip but that was not teeny tiny enough at the end to feel the reset button being pressed. I didn't have a toothpick but I took a pen apart and that worked and could feel the button 'pressing in.' Cheers mate!
I just checked on a 6.5 we have in the workshop and it is one of the rare models that does not have a reset button. Unfortunately if you can’t get it working it will need a new screen/console
Hi!!! I moved my treadmill from one place to another and when I reconnected the screen went black but the treadmill itself worked. I reset it like the video and now the treadmill won’t work and the screen still remained black. Any suggestions please?
Sounds like a possible wiring issue. I would check all connections to the top console and to the controller below. Every now and then the controller also blows after being moved. Check to see if you have any leds lit up on the controller. Also check the safety key is making a good connection.
Hello thank you for your video but I have a problem I’ve tried to do it multiple Times and after that the screen shows me a White screen with the ifit logo and there is also a retry button and when I press it there is an other screen with a White backckground and a ifit logo. I waited 1 day but it didnt change and now I dont Know what to do! Do you have a solution please ?
First thing is to make sure you are definitely doing the reset on the machine. You will know you’ve done it correctly if the round resetting symbol comes up and you have to set up wifi etc again. If you are doing it correctly and have tried several times and the ifit logo is still stuck then you need a new console. The frozen ifit screen is quite common and is usually fixed with a couple of hard resets, so it’s important to make sure you are doing it correctly.
Hi there - thanks for posting this, I've tried it a few times with my Nordictrack Elliptical machine - ACT commercial 7, but sadly it's not working. There is no power button, just the power cord input. I've tried a different powercord and nothing. Any advice on what the next step would be, or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It was working a few days ago, and hasn't been used much but just getting into it, so am really hoping to find a fix!
Does the screen have power or is it dead? If there is no power it’s more than likely the control board that’s failed. We will be posting a video in the next week or so on how to diagnose and repair this fault

I have a Nordictrack R400 bike with IFit but have never used the IFit part. I'm older and just use what's there to ride it, but display won't light up but all else is working. I've checked over and over and there are NO small holes anywhere. Any ideas? My bike is 12 years old
It might be worth checking the power supply, could also be the socket where the power plugs into on the bike itself, they occasionally go faulty which stops power from getting to the console

Honestly can’t remember where it is on the T23.0, but it sounds like there is a bigger problem if the screen doesn’t come on at all. Possibly controller is faulty or the screen itself.

I have a ProForm 550 CST PFTL60916.0 I got for a steal....I use it with iFIT, and works great, however, iFit continously tells me there's an update, that never updates...except for completely removing the "head unit" from the treadmill, I can't find a reset hole. It's the one with the rather hexaonal faces. I've seen a few other comments where there may not be a reset button..is this the case here? otherwise, Iove it!

You don’t want it unplugged, just power off as the reset will only work if done when the machine is first powered up. If yours doesn’t have a power switch then turn it off at the wall switch and power on when ready to do the reset
There does not seem to be a pinhole reset anywhere on the ProForm Smart Strider 935 Elliptical. Any ideas? The fly wheel is on the back of the machine. The ON/RESET toggle switch is at floor level behind the flywheel (nowhere near close enough to the display monitor to allow for holding a reset while turning it on). I’m flummoxed. The manual references resetting by entering a “Maintenance Mode”/pressing Maintenance Button in the Settings Menu that that doesn’t exist on my display.😢
In short, my monitor works fine but iFit wants to upload an firmware upgrade but can’t so just clocks. Won’t let me get to my workout screens until I load the new firmware. Pissing me off.
That’s a weird one, I can’t recall where the pinhole is on that one or even if there is one. Might be worth getting a tech to look at it but it sounds like it might need a new screen
@slbrown9624 I haven’t had to reset one of these, if it’s there it will definitely be on the plastic surround for the screen up top. Some of the older models don’t have a reset button so that may be the case with this one, but definitely worth another look to see if it’s there
proform t7 treadmill only had it 2 weeks and came to switch on faced with a blank screen of death. would only incline and screen stopped loading. Good old google found this. Looks to have on the trick nicely! phew was dreading a customer service call!
That sounds like either a faulty controller or faulty screen. Very difficult to tell which without swapping parts over. Probably best to get a tech to look at it to diagnose it correctly
Can’t remember exactly where it is on the S25 but I do recall it’s just a very very small cutout in the edge of the black plastic shroud, it’s so small that it’s honestly easy to miss. Best idea is to get a flashlight and look around the edges as it is very difficult to locate.

I didn’t plug it in immediately when I moved it into the garage. It’s been sitting for months. I Just tried it today with the new extension cord. The screen won’t cut on at all.
@Im_Pashanique First thing is to check the safety key to make sure it’s got good contact and check all the wiring, it only takes one wire to not be connected for it to stop working.

If the screen won’t come on I’d say it’ needs a new screen or might possibly be a faulty controller not supplying power to the screen. Best to get a tech to look at it and diagnose it for you
If it has a screen it should have a reset. I believe there were a couple that don’t have them. They can be super hard to find sometimes though, sometimes it seems almost hidden in the smallest groove in the side of the console

I’d say you have the right place but the switch is pretty small so maybe just play around with it and see if you can locate the switch inside there, it may be slightly off to one side

Haven’t seen the X9 so can’t confirm if it has a pinhole. If it doesn’t I would suggest getting a tech to look at it as the software may have crashed and may possibly need a new screen

Sounds like it might be a motor overheating issue. Try lubricating the belt and see if it lasts longer than 5 minutes after that

There is no speed calibration on these, only incline calibration

There is a small adjustable trimpot on the controller, you can use a small Philips head screwdriver to adjust the speed slightly up or down.

I’m pretty sure the 990 doesn’t have one. I had a repair on one of these a while back and we had to replace the entire screen 🙁

It’s possible but quite difficult, unfortunately we don’t have instructions for this but I’m sure it’s on the internet somewhere

I have the hole on top-back but no switch inside it.
If the hole is there the switch should be. I’ve had a couple in the past that were misaligned so had to really poke around to find it

Crazy question but where the heck does the ground wire go on proform T 10
You’ll have to be a bit more specific, there are several ground wires in each treadmill
Factory reset in xi22 seems to be in the screen by the camera, but it doesn’t click. ?
I think you are looking at the microphone hole which is next to the camera. The reset pinhole will be on top or side of the screen

I have a 10.9 elliptical elite and it does not have a hole looked for an hour like a crackhead it only has usb and hdmi port
From memory it’s next to the usb port, very very small hole, super hard to find

If it’s from the 90s it’s likely it won’t have one, this reset is more common for newer machines with an lcd screen

@@FitnessEquipmentHowTo I thought I found it cause I do see a hole but when I put something in there nothing clicks like a traditional button
I’d say you have the right place but the switch is pretty small so maybe just play around with it and see if you can locate the switch inside there, it may be slightly off to one side

My pro-form 2000 it doesn't want to work, it turns on the screen but then it goes blank and doesn't go to the next process to run.
I found the reset button, but it doesn't reset
I have NordicTrack X9i incliner, I just updated the hardware and it caused everything to stop working. I could not find the hole anywhere. How do I fix it?
Haven’t seen the X9 so can’t confirm if it has a pinhole. If it doesn’t I would suggest getting a tech to look at it as the software may have crashed and may possibly need a new screen
