    Absolutely the best grip video I’ve ever seen! Former PGA teaching pro and this video is the best at explaining the feel and pressure points you need for each hand. Every golfer should watch this 100 times. Job well done 👍🏻

      Appreciate it! I'm just trying to preset everything at address: pressure points, shoulder, and arm alignment, and the handle to give myself the best chance to hit down on the inner quadrant of the ball.

    I have watched a lot of videos on how to properly grip the golf club and this is by FAR the best and easiest to understand! GREAT JOB!!!

    I'm a bit of golf grip geek so I love these videos! You guys properly explain how to actually do it and the pov camera angle helps massively.
    Its so rare to see an amateur with a pro looking grip yet it's very achievable if you make the effort - have a club with you whilst watching TV would be my advice and get it right. If it looks good it probably is good

    Can't believe I got down to a 9hcp holding it totally wrong! Crazy! I was holding it exactly like the left picture. Just hit a coupla buckets using this claw grip and I think I can turn pro tomorrow now! Hahahahaha so good. Thanks a million.

      PS - Are you not breaking the instructors secret code of not mentioning the grip so that they keep coming back for more lessons??!! 😂

      That just shows you that is room for improvement and that the potential is there. Single digit with improper grip is impressive tho so great job! Let us know if there is anything we can assist you with. Welcome to the new world of golf instruction.

      @claws_effect will be working through your vids soaking it up. Made a proper difference today although my 3 wood was a bit slicy. Think my right hand was over the top a bit too much...

    Hi thank you so much for this explanation of the grip it has really helped my contact on the ball....two question...Does the takeaway start with the hands hingeing immediately and not simply when the hands get to hip high on the backswing and the club points straight up? In the swing does the left hand control the swing or is it the right hand......should I feel that the right hand is the most important hand at the point of impact?

    • @claws_effect
      @claws_effect  4 месяца назад +3

      Great questions! First question: Takeaway starts with both hands pushing down and away from the body (think of the beach ball under water) This downward push pressure with create the hinging of thr clubhead combined with the pulling of the index finger.
      Second Question: Trail hand is the more important hand bc of that being most peoples dominant hand and also rhr influence it has on the club lagging and releasing.
      Hope this makes sense

    It looks like a very tight pressure on your grip. What level of power that you are using: 4/10 or 8/10? Thanks

      I would say probably about a 5 or 6.

    Are you pushing down just with the left palm and pulling back with the right hand? Thank you

    • @claws_effect
      @claws_effect  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes its a push (lead pinky pad, trail palm against lead thumb) and a pull (trail index finger)

    Also doesnt this contradict the hovland grip video that you made where it is more on the top than on the side that is showed in the video (the trail hand)

    • @claws_effect
      @claws_effect  4 месяца назад +1

      Nope the "V" is always positioned trail ear to trail shoulder depending on grip style preference. Hovland is closer to trail shoulder than he is ear.

    I don’t want to come off rude, but this should only come off as recent findings for someone who either just started this year, or someone that has been completely out of touch with the game. That should be the very first thing your learn when picking up a golf club. I apologize if I’m sounding harsh, I don’t mean to be, I’m just confused when you mention it as a recent discovery with your sensors? I’ve been holding my club like that since I was 12 in 1992…am I missing something, or is this just an instructional video for someone new to the game, or someone that never had a lesson or learned anything about the grip?

    • @seanconcannon7922

      Millions of golfers throughout the world are not aware of using the club as a lever and have never felt the hingeing action as described in the video.

    • @claws_effect
      @claws_effect  4 месяца назад +2

      Exactly! Concentrating the pressures in your hands that you have pre-activated at address activates the lever action in the club to initiate the swing. Thanks!

      Not sure where you’ve been but look at all of the leading instructors, at least the famous ones and none have addressed grip in this manner. In fact the leading comment is “hold the club like a bird”. Once I understood that the guy who made that comment was also a carpenter I worked out that his description was in relation to someone with tremendous hand strength.
      There are a lot of myths, half truths and misunderstandings in golf, this guy is good enough to attempt to bring more useful proven information to those that may not be aware of teaching changes.
      Credit where its due.
