Has really good armor for a tank that goes light tank speed at 65kph. Kind of unique in that aspect especially when you compare to something like a CDC which is huge and has 0 armor.
The CDC is left behind man it's unbelievable. Remember when the CDC came into the game and people were unsure wether it was too god for a tier 8 premium

@@Blearu I remember discussing on the forums, back then premiums were supposed to be worse than standards and here comes the CDC, completely unique with unmatched mobility and one of the best guns among the tier 8 mediums, it was kind of controversial

Another tank that prove that wg can make non broken prem tanks which are usable, and I hope to buy it when it comes, cause I can't grind the marathon, and at least I say wg paying when that "hey, this is good to do, no more bourrasque or 252u"
Stop considering Defender 252U as an OP tank. It was OP more than 4 years ago. It has trash accuracy with mediocre aim time and terrible spread. Also it has no gun depression. It's gun only has alpha damage and shell velocity that's it. It's gun is horrible. You can't hit anything in even medium range most of the time. It has very good armor that is true. But it doesn't work as much as everyone thinks, when people see defender they immediately fire gold. So your lower plate that's supposed to be hard to pen becomes butter and defenders lower plate is HUGE. Also it's capolas are big. Trust me they are BIG. When you shoot it from med or long range you can't reliably hit the capola that's true, but when you are close it's one of the easiest shots ever. There is 2 capolas and you can't hide it while shooting as well. And you won't be seeing defender in long or med range already, since it can fight good only in close range so capolas are easy shots. It's mobility is bad as well and you don't have any view range you are practically blind, you can't spot anything. Therefore stop saying it's OP. It's idiotic to say it's OP. That was more than 4 years ago as I said.
I am saying all of these as a player who has defender as his most played tank. You can be sure I know this tank. I play it because I like Russian heavies, most of the time I am having average games, there is nothing OP about it. I had to comment about this because I see this misconception in the comment section of almost every WoT video.

@@baturayiplikcier when compared to tech tree tanks it’s still at least T8.5. Just because more ridiculous premiums have come into the game since, doesn’t mean it’s bad. It’s not meta any more, because the game has become all about speed and mobility (and firing shit tons of gold) but it’s still a good choice compared to most T8 tech tree heavies.
@@baturayiplikcier it depends on what tank you're playing against it, for me it was a nightmare when I grinded Czechoslovak mediums, orange weakspots with premium, even the Löwe has problems penning it
I want to grind this because it's balanced and it fits my medium play style when I want to go aggressive and hug ridgelines
So, essentially, the AltProto AMX 30 is a French Lancen C. Kind of what I was seeing at first, but now with the breakdown, it's pretty darn close. Sort of a heavy hitting light tank in a medium Hull.

I love my Lansen C, and the sales offer the 3D style for it more so.
Might pick up the AltProto AMX if I hit 50+% discount by the final day from my usual routine play.
On my way to finishing 4th stage of the grind probably going to do 5th stage tonight and then 1 stage for the next 5 days. Great video QB keep up the good work!
people seem to underestimate the speed of this tank , it can get into and out of positions as it pleases very quickly

apparently, there's this hidden stat called "sigma"... it's basically the chance for the shell to land in the center of the reticle, no matter how much bloom it has
i just recently learned this, i don't know how you access it, but i know for a fact that it's in world of warships, so it seems likely that it could be in wot as well

Your shell always has a chance of going where you're aiming its just less likely when you're moving around

@quickybaby So it looks like an IS-6 hull style with the turret in the middle, so I'd expect it fits jsut about perfect with your play style, you like mobility, a decent gun, and enough hit points to survive.
those are all there it seems as long as you don't charge a flank in the front.

By how QB talks about this tank, I have a feeling if it was a British tank with the same statistics with some fun mechanic on it. It'd probably be one of his favourite tanks

For any nation, if you took these same statistics and stacked "some fun mechanic" on top of it and you'd probably have a really good tier 8 medium.
I love this tanks one of my favorites t8 meds. I also really like the 122 tm but i play it like a heavy tank. I cant tell you how many bounces i get off the altproto’s turret and its nice to have that top speed to reposition. I still suck ass at the game i was ok back in the day but took a 2 year hiatus then another 6 months one and i never got back to my skill level. I just really started playing again in the last month or two.
I hope everyone going for this marathon enjoys themselves, tank looks pretty good.
Here's to hoping the next marathon atleast equally good so I can get me some :)

But QB Strv 74 Tier VI Swedish Medium Tank has 15° depression, without hydraulics. OK, it is T6.
Pff, that's nothing. The M2 medium has 20° over the rear!
In all seriousness, nice to see a premium tank with both upsides and downsides.
I think it's better to equip it with Vent, Rotation device and Vertical Stablizer. Rammer isn't too necessary but meh.... my second equipment build is for armor ... why not?
I might actually get this, I live the amx30 and 30b and this is like those at t8 so yeah I like the look of it

I was thinking that this tank would be a fast long range sniper type tank with good camo. But since it has a lousy camo rating it's really going to hinder it more now.

Next video can you play in 50 or 75% crews? Everyone talks about stock tank grind but not new crew grind especially in premium creep and power creep climate
Nobody ever uses 50 or 75 crews. You can retrain them to any vehicle and to 90% for 20k. 50 or 75 crews are irrelevant.

he teaches us what to do and also not what to do. When he went "Durr durr durr" off that hill on Abbey I thought, "Note to self. Never charge across open ground when 4 tanks have their guns turned in your direction!"

that classic 300 dmg french gun is just a bit derpy and its fine. Tbh this tank looks really ugly/boxy.
Looks are always quite personal, it looks fine to me just not quite i am used to, and yeah that 100mm is a bit to durpy for what it is, its not a joy to use on the amx m4

I'm a fairly new player at 46%WR and trying to get my first tier 10 tank, currently my highest tier tanks are the Obj 430 and Emil 2. I've just managed to accumulate 15000 bonds but I'm unsure whether I should spend it all on the M60 or use it to buy bond equipment for my tanks. Anyone has any advice on what I should do?
I would advise you to get the tier 8 premiums at the bond shop as it would help you with credit making. With Holiday Ops around the corner, having a tier 8 premium can make a huge difference for effective credit farming.
listen to FinCefiroth, get prem T8 and get a good cred grinder
I like all facts and opinions about any vehicle you put out for us, just straight to the core. And then theres that tank unrelated yapping which gets annoying pretty quickly and dulls my attention to what are you saying. Still pretty much best tank reviews all around.
very fun tank. Gun handling is the most annoying, but everything else does make up for it. I say do everything you can to balance it's weakness. This can be easily a meta tank me thinks.
Like the Charioteer and GSOR crew skills, not directly interchangeable. Done on purpose so you have to use a special crew member/spend money/free exp etc.
So, any idea why it gets so much xp for not doing that much? I had a 3.5k damage game and got 1400 xp.

So I'm a blitz player but recently started playing WoT PC a little here and there but I can't seem to figure out how to activate the national crew voices. I've looked all over the settings and can't find it anywhere. Can anyone help?
Hey bud, so it's in the settings (I don't remember exactly where, I think in sound but maybe in general?), but it's called "commander crew voice" and your options should be standard or national- you'll be wanting national, clearly.

Yeah, the Patriot is just one of those tanks though yay seems to Mahe find of credits. And the skorpion as well.

The amx 30s are collectors which means they are not counted as tech tree tanks so their layout isn't taken in consideration
Which is extremely stupid, because the AMX is a cult tank, the first MBT of France.

So just like all collectors tanks, they just abandoned it.
So there's no point making a premium tank with a layout that suits a collector's tank when it's considered out of the tank pool.
Sadly that clearly means they'll never rebalance it or make it competitive

Lansen is much better in my opinion because of bit better alpha and much better DPM. And gun handling on turret traverse is so much better on Lansen.
Go for Lansen. Honestly I'm having so much more fun in my Lansen C. Lansen C can do 80%-90% as good as Alt Proto in speed, gun depresion, but so much better in other stats(exept pen). Better DPM, better alpha, better gun handlling, worst top and reverse speed but better specific power and traverse speed, better cammo but armour is worst. Altproto looks good but Lansen C is amazing

I have lots of time. I play the game anyways for more than 3 hours a day... the only game I play, so I will try to grind it... Im able to confortably go to stage 8 9 then will see if I will try to finish it of will pay those few euros.
At stage 2 on the marathon ... But i am not doing it. Simply dont have the time and will power anymore for this marathons ... Also i spend money on the steam sales for few full games. There were times when marathons made sense like the TS5 one and seeing marathos are with stage 2s it just makes you see how greedy WG got when they want you to grind or pay for the styles extra.
