I saw somewhere that as Seal was recording his first album, he asked his bandmates and producers, "Do you think my voice sounds ok?" He actually doubted himself at the time! I would have said "Are you kidding?" He's an outstanding singer.
Hi Lovely Faye, Kiss from a Rose by Seal, is from the 1993 movie Batman Forever, which starred Val Kilmer as Batman, Jim Carrey as The Riddler, and Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face, it also features Chris O'Donnell as Robin!! 😀 😀 Stay Safe Lovely Faye 😀 😀
It's not FROM Batman Forever, it was just included in the soundtrack. It was released in 1994 as a single and was included in the soundtrack for Never Ending Story III prior to being included in the Batman Forever soundtrack the following year.
Hi, lovely terryweir85 352: "Kiss From a Rose," I'm sorry to say, when written and performed, had NOTHING AT ALL to do with the Batman movie. It was recorded a year before the movie even came out. If you are going to expound on, or wax poetic over, any work of art (but especially one as spectacular as this), it's honestly best to just spend 2-5 minutes just doing a minimal amount of research before "instructing" others about it. Even "Wikipedia," lame as it is, is better than just expressing an opinion as fact. I don't say any of this to be mean - just to stop you from misinforming people on the masterworks of others, giving proper credit where it is due, and doing a bit of work, so you don't look foolish. People have gotten out of the habit of verifying information about what they state as fact, and this is not a good thing. It helps no one, and makes the poster look - wrong... All that said, this is a masterpiece in every way, and one of my favorite songs. Take care, be safe, and strive for accuracy.
I watched the music video for Seal's _"Kiss from a Rose"_ so many times in 1995 that Seal's hand gestures are burnt into my mind, I mimic them in perfect timing even when listening to the song.🤙
It was NOT from the movie Batman - it was recorded for a Seal album a year before that movie even came out, and was not connected to it in any way. A gorgeous song, perfectly mixed and produced - but independent of any movie - just pure, beautiful music.
