Cool video. Glad to see they raised the liquid level....60% seems a tad high, but i get it. During start up, it seems like they always set it to 35%-37%. We do the maintenance and repairs on our customers YK's. Did they clean the heat exchanger for the VSD coolant. That can get pretty nasty over time. A lot of people wait till they get high temp alarms before doing it though. Enjoyed the video...thanks for sharing
Yeah, it ran better at 42% but JCI tech settled on 50% , they backwashed the exchanger, I did see some high motor baseplate alarms in the history after they left… probably from air. The old coolant was dark . Thanks Jason! 👊
Loss of subcooler seal is when your drop leg temp gets lower than your condenser temp. It basically is calculating that there is flash gas instead of a full liquid seal. Also on your drive heat exchanger, pull both heads when brushing it. One side may look ok, but when you pull the other, it will look like shit. It’s more work, but in the end its better.
Is there a video out there how to replace coolant in drive cooler? Just got PM for YMC2 with HYP drive that will need coolant replaced in Spring. Thanks for video.
I don have a video on that yet, we power down, drain coolant, flush with distilled water, refill with York 013-04129-000 coolant (light blue color) . Recheck levels after restart
Sounded like the Titanic engine room at the start!
Great video. Thank you for sharing. Those are big chiller
Thanks for watching!
That poor MOD A 😢 NRV is doing its job in the discharge. 👌🏻

@@subcoolHVAC 42% seems to be the sweet spot here.

That sound at the start had wondering what the issue i was saying must be surging lol
Yep, with high pitch tap from check valve.
Thought you were in a factory or so.ething at first lol.
🤣 yep, it was definitely an unexpected kind of surge
Sounds like that there is the EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON FOR to immediately stop a machine.
That’s the last button to push
