I miss my 1993 honda del sol. red. it was the most fun car I ever owned. I swore that if I ever recover from my spinal cord injury and can walk again, i would buy another del sol and built it how I always wanted. I loved that car. back when I was young and broke, I had the stock d16z6 engine. skunk2 exhaust, custom intake made by me using my buddies left over intercooler piping. I had to do audio, at the time I took out the passenger seat and had a 12" kicker subwoofer in a sealed box there instead. I had kicker door speakers and kicker rear speakers. and then I had a pioneer headunit. and that car was the most fun i ever had driving. maybe its just because i was young or nostolgia but i want another one.

1:53 That is not the Del Sol being slow it is the driver of the car behind (and many NEW generation of drivers) having short to no patience.
Due to decades of everyone is a winner (rewards for being present/participation etc) upbringing, there is no shortages of arrogance, pride in themselves with the world revolving only around them attitude (low to no sympathy, courtesy or understanding.
Also, new drivers are now unaware of manual cars and intolerant or surprised with the slight engagement delay perceiving it as poor reaction time rather than nature of a manual car.

Hey Man! I'm going to look at a one owner 93 Si del sol tomorrow. It has been sitting for about 5 years. I am making a hour and a half drive to go look at it. I know a few things to look out for like exterior problems but mechanical I do not. What should I be cautious about when looking at it and during the test drive?

Any bad vibrations, shakes, odd noises, if it's automatic you can have them go from park to drive and drive to reverse as you watch the engine to see if the engine mounts are good or bad. If it's a stick shift they can pull against the e brake and see how far the engine moves. But I would say if anything isn't right it should jump out and catch your attention
