This song has so many memories for me. It’s a beautiful song and Roger Waters is an outstanding ‘craftsman’ as bassplayer and composer. The bassline in this song is just what the song needs; nothing more nothing less. I like the way he makes his choices to play the short (staccato) notes. I’ve marked these notes with a dot in the transcription. I think it makes a huge difference when you play those notes legato (long) or staccato (short).
