    I'm thinking that I'll personally start playing games without DLSS because the quality of the DLSS is completely different in each game and it's annoying me.
    In one game DLSS will give you a better picture and in another it will completely ruin it.
    For example Spider-man, Crysis remaster...
    And now DLSS 3.0 and its ghosting effect.
    So where have we moved from native resolution? Fake fps and image.
    I'm not saying that DLSS is bad in every game, but I don't know why the quality looks completely different in every game.
    While moving, you don't really notice it, but when you stop, you can see a flickering, blurry image...

    • @RicochetForce
      @RicochetForce Год назад +24

      @@kseries1981 Err, what's the problem here? DLSS is consistently better than native rendering in most games, and a damn sight better than the TAA offered in most.
      As someone who's been playing games since the late 80s I can understand some folks having difficulty decoupling the old belief that native rendering res > upscaling techniques. These AI and machine learning based techniques are better than the old approaches that led to ugly as fuck pixel crawling and other scaling artifacts.
      And here's another tip that you likely already know: Ultra Preset is for screenshots, High Preset is for actually playing the game. And most cards gain a strong performance uplift from dropping one rung down. Ultra Settings have been things that result in unoptimized settings or those with extremely diminishing returns for the performance tax they exact on the card.
      This is why RT is not worth enabling until it passes a substantial visual impact threshold, for example.
