Automatically comparing every interpretation of Joker to Heath Ledger just ruins the chances of people being able to create they own Joker

This scene and the dark knight interrogation can’t even be compared. They have completely different contexts. And like other people are saying, instantly comparing any joker to Heath Ledger just instantly shuts it down

Dontai didn’t even peep the beginning where he simply came to Joker for perspective. Context I agree is different, this Joker is already in jail locked up while Heath’s Joker just kidnapped Gotham’s white knight (Harvey) and what Batman thought would be his love interest (Rachel).

Yeah so many people are saying that Keoghan just ripped off Heath. But this scene is great also because of the cinematography, with the usage of the window to keep the joker blurred until the reveal at the end

It's exactly what happened when Pattinson was first announced as the new Batman. Everyone, including me immediately just thought "ugh twilight" but once they revealed the short showing off him in the suit I out loud went said "holy shit". Then once the teaser trailer came out in 2020 that was the final verdict. The dude killed it and proved everyone wrong
Y'all gotta stop underestimating Barry Keoghan. Watch his performance in The Killing of a Sacred Deer, this man is able to become hella creepy. And there's no point in comparing Heath and Barry, these are two completely different iterations of the character. Y'all seem to forget the Joker isn't the same throughout the comics either.

The thing is I honestly like how they’re taking this Batman as a darker one with less morals, still no killing obviously, and put more emphasis on him actually being smart instead of a rich dude in a costume.
