Papaya is a fruit :) This song is about eating papaya salad (or "Som Tam", a traditional Thai dish that is both sweet and spicy) and dancing and singing at summer festivals.
@@TaiFei it's done with a traditional Thai instrument too (here is the guy that regularly works with F.Hero playing it): facebook.com/darkestromantic/videos/10218505832173833/
The best Metal Punk Rap Pop song ever about tropical fruit! A Babymetal song a day keeps the blues away. F. Hero is a Thai rapper who, from interviews, was very surprised to be asked by Kobametal, the producer, to not only appear on the album recording but to also do a couple of performances live, as here. He was also, it hardly needs adding, very excited and pleased to perform with the girls. Great reaction and analysis as always.
F. Hero is the family friendly version of his real stage name, Fucking Hero. He actually says (in thai) at the opening of his section "Fucking Hero!, BABYMETAL!..."
Been waiting for another Babymetal reaction from you. Everytime I watch your reactions, I learn and discover something new. Great reaction as always! :)
We need to get Chase to react to Brand New Day by Babymetal. It features Tim and Scott from Polyphia, two bands Chase has been absolutely enamoured with
I think there's a big chance this will be their new video, live or not, after the Legend Metal Galaxy release on 09/09. It was the promotional single when they announced the DVD/Bluray.
The Legend Metal Galaxy version is a beautiful piece of work - the graphics on the huge screens, the music, the lighting and the amazing silhouettes of the girls. Might have to use Twitch or Vimeo, though.
I think all the songs from Metal Galaxy have beautiful graphics all around the stage. Shine & Arkadia are probably my favorites, especially Shine, when the beam of light goes through all the different stage LEDs and "hits the ground" behind them (sorry, don't know how to phrase what I'm trying to say, it sounds strange in my head regardless of how I do it :D). We'll see what happens after 9/9 and what song they will upload on their channel, I'm pretty sure it'll be Brand New Day because of the promotion. And maybe the RUclips algorithm won't be so harsh on such a big channel like Chase's and he can react to it without problems. He also pauses a lot to talk about it, so maybe that'll help, too.
"what kind of cardio routine?" remember those guys in high school who would be playing Zeppelin songs in their room every waking moment outside of school? idol girls are that but with their whole performance japanese musicians as a whole generally don't settle for being anything short of 'perfect', and will practice as much as it takes to get there; masters of their craft, to say the least
> "japanese musicians as a whole generally don't settle for being anything short of 'perfect', ..." Perfection really is kind of a religion in Japan. There is no profession where you cannot find this strife for perfection. The degree of attention to detail, even with minor things, often seems rather odd or even ridiculous to non-Japanese people.
Yeah, their cardio routine has to be insane to keep this level of energy up for an entire show! This album is pretty great with some exceptional songs on it, I definitely recommend their video for "Shanti, Shanti, Shanti!"
If its a gimmick then it's one hell of a gimmick to last 10 years and still going strong!! Those people should find something else to be negative about or just get on with life. Lol
"Babymetal puts me in such a good mood." EXACTLY! This is why I listen to or watch at least one of their songs/videos daily! Babymetal is a really great way to start off your day...I'm serious...try it, you won't regret it.
For sure,I work outdoors a lot in the UK 🇬🇧 and the weather is generally pretty bad, but I just pop in my earbuds, and BABYMETAL playlist my way through the day 🦊🙌🙌🙌
Great reaction and analysis again, it's been a long time since your last BABYMETAL video. They added a traditional Thai instrument in (which you heard as something like a banjo being plucked) during F Hero's rap. Talking rap and you saying you like it ... you already know Su-metal is talented, do you really know quite how talented? A reaction to their second single and video 'Iine' (that is a double i at the front, so it is ee-neh) or the most recent song 'BxMxC' (a good link has been posted in the comments already, but waiting for the pro-shot being released next month would work too) would be much appreciated.
Anyone who says that Babymetal is a corporate made gimmick should watch the girls crying their eyes out when Su graduated from Sakura Gakuin (which I consider to be Japan's version of the old "Mickey Mouse Club"). These girls loved each other and were a family when Babymetal was formed 10 years ago. They performed in shows at little warehouse looking places when they started and didn't have a real budget. They work their asses off to perform perfectly and go hard on stage for hours to make their fans happy. These girls are living their dreams!
Happy to see that you are back on the Babymetal train! You were asking for suggestions in the comments: A fan favorite that doesn't get blocked is "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" live at Sonisphere/UK. It's their breakout performance outside of Japan. Looking forward to see your next Babymetal reaction!
nice. really enjoy watching your reaction. fyi,..in this MV they mixed live performance with the sound from the album. the footage are taken on the second day from the first 2 shows in 2019 "BabyMetal Awakens : The Sun Also Rises" Live at Yokohama Arena with Kano Fujihira as the chosen avengers. The Kami Band member on that show are,.: -Leda Cygnus (7 strings guitar) -Isao Fujita (8 strings guitar) -Boh (6 strings bass) -Hideki Aoyama (drum) glad you liked it. but, i think you'll liked it more if you watched the actual live version. because they played Thai Harp & Thai Flute as the intro and the atmosphere/energy when Su-Metal introduce F.Hero to the stage and thanked him after the song ended plus the crowd reaction when he's start rapping really makes the whole performance more epic. it really amazing.
Great reaction, thx for this one. The world needs definitely more BABYMETAL in these strange times. Much love and respect from a german kitsune 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼. Pls stay healthy you all!
I said it before and I say it time and time again. This is very uplifting and it makes my day sunnier!! And... I have a soft spot for Moa. She's adorable. The Energy!!!
"What is a pa pa ya? Sounds fun." In Canada, papaya being sold in our local Walmart. So, I'm guessing it's a fruit? I can't catch whatever F.Hero was rapping about, yeah I heard 🍫 and then the rest be like...klokklokklokblokblokblokblok..like gargling on mouthwash and I heard he said 'bikini' too..idk bro 😂 not my usual jam but I had fun with this.
Yes, it's about the fruit papaya. It's a summer feel-good song, about (cultural) summer festivals, having a good time, and F. Hero, who raps in Thai, references a typical Thai papaya salad dish.
@@juliettemcgee9055 Even though they've brought out only three albums, to date, their discography is really varied. I bet that there's more of what they have to offer that'll tickle your bone. ;-)
This is the song I put on when I’m at the end of my run and I just need to push through the last bits. It’s just such an infectiously fun song. It’s got a pretty great driving beat that is great for pounding feet on the pavement or treadmill. I believe F-Hero is a rapper from Thailand.
"Catch Me if You Can" has been my favorite song from Baby Metal, partially because it was my first exposure and they blew me away. Throwing my hat in for a reaction to that song. Also, it's been a minute since you reacted to Doll$Boxx, and "Take My Chance" is my favorite from them for the same reason as above mentioned. Another fun reaction, Chase!
To all the people who think BABYMETAL is just a corporate gimmick slapped together to make money, or that the girls don't really enjoy what they're doing, I just want to offer the other side of this common talking point: Yes, they were formed by a producer (Key Kobayashi) at a big talent agency in Japan. But I see BM as more of this producer's passion project than a mere corporate cash-maker. The company itself (Amuse Inc.) is very hands off with the artists and groups under them, so artistic control is still with Team BABYMETAL. And like organically formed bands, they still had to work their way up. They still had to prove to their mettle to people, including their parent company who was very skeptical about the project and gave them a minimal shoestring budget to begin with. Their first music video had taped-on costumes. They began singing at food hall stages in festivals for very small crowds. The whole concept of the band (fusing idol j-pop with heavy metal) sounds absurd, right? Many people didn't give BABYMETAL much of a chance, including the corporate behind them. And I'm pretty sure many are aware, as Chase pointed out at the end of this video, of the amount of vitriol thrown at them, especially online. But I think reaching this level of fame and success despite all that, being humble all while still nonchalantly ignoring the hatred, and still doing their unique own thing a decade later after their formation---I don't know about you, but that's pretty damn metal to me ;) In fact, a big chunk of the fanbase kind of complains about the band's lack of competent marketing and PR lol, so I think they're far from a purely capitalistic project, let alone a gimmick. Regardless of how they were formed, it's hard to deny the virtuoso of the musicians, the quality of their songs, and the girls' talent and passion for performing these said songs. Their formation may not be organic, but does it matter when the artistry is still genuine? These girls are humble, hard-working, talented, and passionate. Hating on them is literally like hating puppies. It was implied in interviews that they were given a chance to leave after a guitarist died and one girl left in 2018. But they chose to continue despite these tragedies, so yes they love what they do. If they didn't, they wouldn't have lasted 10 years (and still going strong!) Literally watch the music video at 10:12. You see that silly smile on Su's face? Yeah, no way that's fake. Yes, at the end of the day they are employees of Amuse, but they are employees in the same way superstar professional athletes are employees for the teams they play for ;) To conclude, BABYMETAL isn't manufactured, it's engineered--precisely and lovingly :)
I could point them to videos of Babymetal playing in a full house of 200 wearing costumes made of clothes borrowed from friends and teachers. They had a humble start. Being brought together by a producer does not mean bankrolled by a record company. Two other bands that did the same thing are the Jimi Hendrix Experience and the Sex Pistols.
Yes, thank you! After watching Su graduate from Sakura Gakuin, and watching both Yui and Moa cry at her leaving, especially when they didn't know if Babymetal would continue....it truly showed that the girls were a family when Babymetal started. To me, that is all that matters. It does not matter how they met each other. Many bands use to put out fliers to find musicians to help form their group. These girls earned their place in the industry...it was not handed to them easily. Btw, I think of Sakura Gakuin as being like the old "Mickey Mouse Club" that started in 1955....a group of children put together to learn and perform, and some become very famous when they leave...Mickey Rooney, Annette Funicello both from the original group, and from the newer group came Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears.
"the amount of vitriol thrown at them, especially online" Please point me to just one place on the whole internet where that can be seen. I searched really hard for any vitriol or even mild criticism and could find nothing.
@@Hy-jg8ow First thing that comes to mind, RUclips comments, but in a sense you are right, it's not criticism, they are just ignorant comments from people who don't know what they are talking about
Yes! I think Chase has a great "ear" for little details and his reaction/review would be very interesting and fun to watch. Even the audio version would be good enough.
He definitely needs this on his list. This is Babymetal's homage to Dream Theater. Unfortunately all the good live versions have been taken down. I would recommend just using the album at this point so it doesn't get blocked.
⚡ 💕 / 🌶 🌞 Matsuri da! (It's a festival!) I wasn't aware of him before this song, but F.HERO is a very popular rapper in Thailand. His rap was in Thai, and it mentions papaya salad. That's where the 'PA PA YA!!' comes from in the song title. Crushing the sweet and spicy together in the mortar to release their flavor is used as a metaphor for life. During the rap break, they incorporated some traditional Thai instruments. This was a suggestion from the folks who were working on F.HERO's recording in Thailand along with BABYMETAL's producer Koba.
Rick, here is the link to the Thai instrumental: facebook.com/darkestromantic/videos/10218505832173833/ I assume you've seen it before, but maybe you want to post it some of the time. :-)
This is the song that got me to be more open minded towards Babymetal. It just has such a fun energy and gets me going and happy. I now enjoy many of their songs, but might actually be most impressed by No Rain No Rainbow. That song is an amazing display of versatility and talent from the band and Su. The vocals bring me to tears almost every time even though I don't know what the words mean. Would be cool to do a song like that as something very different from what we've seen.
About their routine: from an old interview in 2014 we know Babymetal at the time train by doing full setlists pretty much all the time. And they do 2 weeks of extra cardio before they tour. The girls actually prefer a tour which is packed with shows. It's like being an athlete, you stay in form by regular training/game with only small gaps at the most. So Babymetal performs shows in a tour usually 1 day between shows and regularly no day and rarely 2 days days between shows. Babymetal shows however are at the most 90 minutes and most of the time 'only' 60 minutes long. But they take almost no break, they might have a Kami Band solo (like before Rondo of Nightmare) or in the past they had Su-metal solo / Black Babymetal duo songs (just Yuimetal and Moametal on stage). So the other(s) could take a break.
A fun, bouncey and catchy song. That is baby metal in a nut shell to me. I enjoyed your reaction as you did give me more appreciation for what they are doing to get that catchy sound. Not my facorite band, but I would not say no if a friend asked me to goto a concert because I know it would be fun.
If you're wondering F. Hero is thai, so some of the sounds that you've heard are from thai traditional folk sounds. They also incorporated abit of it in their dance.
Superb analysis as always, i admire your hearing sensitivities, been a while Chase, i wish you could do more BabyMetal reactions very soon. U mentioned Hip-Hop? How about some hip-hop metal from them, called BxMxC (just BMC). Keep the good work Chase!
@@EdwinJayLatama It's OK but it's a compilation without audio adjustment...maybe this one? with very nicely adjusted audio ruclips.net/video/BjNHAZAAQug/видео.html
The girls go through a lot of cardio training. It is the same as all idol training, since idols have to do a lot of dancing, costume changes, and singing in just one concert. Aqours, which is an Idol group with the Voice Actresses for an anime, have very long concerts, with maybe 2 or 3 short breaks in between. It is all part of the idol world.
Dude you are by far my favorite reaction channel! i love your view about arrangements, small details that make things interesting, technical capabilities etc. and how quick you are by hearing them! I especially value a lot how non-elitist and open minded you are! most reaction channels that make these kind of "analytic" reactions are very snobby ("if something is not complex shredding with a 8/14 rhythmic structure over a 24 minutes song it's not good"). Instead you value how much craftmanship and work and love flows into songs like these!
I really enjoy your reaction videos, more than most. Your musical insights are what set you apart from the vast crowd of reactors out there, so thank you. The album this song is from, Metal Galaxy is much different than their previous two albums, in that the sound is more evolved from just a traditional heavy sound. It employs more synth and other sounds that add more depth, but that can also put some people off who preferred that traditional metal sound. The album also has a lot of guest appearances on it, like at least half of the songs have someone else adding something to it. It also incorporates more genres, like an Indian style in the song Shanti, Shanti, Shanti, that has some traditional Indian dancing by the girls and a new singing style by Su, which is definitely worth a look/listen/reaction if RUclips would allow it.
"There are people outside who are excited and don't know how to behave." Much like us in here...DAD! 😜🤣 And as good fortune would have it, I'm wearing my Babymetal t-shirt today! I swear I didn't plan this..
YOU HAVE TO REACT to BRAND NEW DAY from that album, or at least listen to it on your own time! It features Tim and Scott from Polyphia and they absolutely kill it. It sounds straight up like a Polyphia track with really beautiful singing from Su, and the theme and feeling of the song is super wholesome and positive.
Great reaction, as always! I've missed your analysis of Babymetal songs. They are very informative and you point out things that my old ears don't catch! BTW, I would love it if you would analyze/react to Babymetal's "Tales of the Destinies". It has a Dream Theater feel to it, so it has only been performed live once due to it being too technical to dance to consistently! It's a very unique and impressive song. There is a compilation video on youtube, or you could just react to the official audio-only video. I believe you have the "ears" to appreciate and analyze that song properly!
Really nice one, thanks! I enjoy your reactions / analysis / reviews so much. I always learn something new. I can also see something new on you, like you are now fully engaged with BABYMETAL or was it just PA PA YA! happy vibe? Anyway, that was amazing. This is a summer festival song and it always gets my spirit up. Hope to see you soon!
Great reaction...as always. If you are looking for another Babymetal video to react to, may I suggest "Syncopation"? This song often flies under the radar because it's only on the Japanese version of the album. It's an awesome song and probably one of my favourites right now... Another great song is "Awadama Fever" (live compilation). Can't wait...
Green papaya is julienned and mashed in a mortar and pestle leaving a pasta like base for spicy summer salads. The sound of mashing it inspired the rap cadence.
The girls must have bodies of Olympic atheletes. Last year, they played a long show in Yokohama on Friday night, another long show again on Saturday night, and flew on a plane all night to play a set at Glastonbury on Sunday afternoon, looking fresh as daisies. At the end of the last song, Riho, who did not perform Saturday, was puffing, but not Su or Moa. They have to be in incredible shape. I also wonder how Hideki Aoyama on drums can do what he does without falling over. He is a machine.
Thank you again for the Babymetal! If you're a hip-hop guy, I super recommend BxMxC, by Babymetal. :) Oh, also, can we please get more Doll$Boxx with "Take My Chance" (Live)? I guarantee you will appreciate this one.
The J-pop stylings of Babymetal aren't really my thing, but these guys are crazy talented as musicians and songwriters. The stuff they do rhythmically is completely arresting.
Great reaction. F.Hero is a Thai rapper. It's very happy song. I belive that this type of music is a Kawaii Metal. Try song Shanti Shanti Shanti. It's also happy song.
Your videos put me in a good mood. I have really grown fond of starting off my mornings with you. Esp my weekdays before i start work. Cheers from California. :)

When I discovered this Babymetal song it was my number1 for 2-3 weeks😂Can you please bring TankTheTech to BABYMETAL🦊 Also I saw you never reacted to the Japanese Band 'Wagakki Band' try their liveperformance 'Homura' from 2015
@@ChaseCarneson Please check out this song review by Baka Broadcast ruclips.net/video/BsfUN7VHXWk/видео.html He found a good way of dealing with the blocking problem!
This may be a gimmick group, since they created they own metal genre, but if that's the case then this must be the best gimmick in the whole world, they just make You smile (or cry in case of selected few songs). Love Your reaction, I have no musical background so Your commentary help me learn more about technical aspects of performing/singing/composing songs. Have fun with BABYMETAL 🤘🦊🤘
Let's not kid ourselves lots of metal bands have gimmicks to grab attention. He mentioned KISS in the video, they are clearly one of those bands that sparked doing elaborate shows. Slipknot appearance is perfectly normal for a band ? Or Ghost ? Or Gwar ? Maybe you think Abbath looks like your average bloke in the streets ? :-) Dismissing Babymetal as 'just a gimmick' is way to easy...
I'm so glad to see you return to Babymetal. I know they have too few videos to choose from that wouldn't get your channel in trouble, but this was a good one. Both a great song and an interesting one. I would love to see you do one more from Rammstein again at some point. I know they're not your fav, but I would absolutely love to hear your analysis of something like their music video for Deutschland from their newest album, because it's very different from their earlier work and changes things up from some of the elements you commented on from the other two of theirs you did. It might not sell you on them, but I love your analysis of composition and I would love to hear it applied to them, because it's a pretty stark contrast in some ways to what you heard of them. It's also a true spectacle of a video.
Been wating sooo long for this, finally! Thank you and great video as always! Looking forward to see you react to them again. I suggest Ijime,Dame,Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014 Offcial for your next reaction.
You should check out The Odious - Mono No Aware! It's one of the most fascinating (prog) metal tracks i've discovered. The way it keeps evolving and keeping you on your toes coupled with fantastic instrumental work and both growls and singing. It's mindblowing.
Been following these girls since their very beginning when they first got known in the West. Got nothing but respect for both them and their band members - it's easy to focus on the girls (you are meant to) but every time I listen to them I always realize just how much I enjoy the backing instrumentals just as much.
Every song is different, Chase! They sang about chocolate before, so why not papaya salad? As for being a gimmick-- maybe at one time you could say that, but the readers of Metal Hammer last year voted Babymetal one of the top 10 metal acts of all time. Hard to argue with that!
@@Rina-eg7zw Yes, well let the purists cling to the past. Rock and metal are dying, and their fanbases are dying. Without new blood and new ideas, they will go the way of the dinosaurs. I love what's happening in places like Japan and Eastern Europe, and it gives me hope that the art form will live on.
Wohooo! 😁 More Babymetal! I'm so happy! They always makes me happy and I can go through the day just smiling after hearing a song or two. I thought you left them for other reactions so it makes me happy that you reacted to them again. 👍 You haven't done some of the big numbers yet, but I guess that there could be problems with the video as some others have experienced. But they just put the reaction video somewhere else than YT and linked to it just to have it in the folder so to speak. Road to Resistance would be great to see or Ijime, Dame, Zettai from Sonisphere 2014. ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.html That would be great!
Great reaction as always! Since you can’t wait to react to them, I think we can agree that you should do more, because I‘m always looking forward to your reactions as well! The song sometimes reminds of what a closed minded idiot I can be. When I heard about a Thai rapper being in it, I was prepared to hate it. Just because I‘m not a Rap fan, and because Thai is not Japanese. I wasn‘t openly disrespectful towards him, that‘s just not my style, but I think I did utter some words of disappointment on Reddit without even hearing the song. It was really stupid. Later I read in an interview that he felt very honored to have been chosen by such a well-known band to represent his small country (and its culinary specialty) in a brand-new song. But then he got such a lot of hatred from BABYMETAL fans that he was about to cancel. He thought perhaps he wasn‘t worthy of being chosen for the task after all. Koba encouraged him to go through with it, and in the end he was accepted and congratulated by the fans as well. Again, I had only been very „mildly hostile“, but I really felt like an a**hole reading that. And rightfully so, of course. He‘s apparently a warm-hearted person, and he sounded really hurt. I hadn‘t even heard his contribution to the song before writing it off. And even if I had indeed turned out not to like it, that wouldn’t have been a reason to condemn it. Everyone had done their best, and I should respect that, even if it had not been after my taste. Needless to say, I learned to love the song quickly. It‘s one of my favourites live. As you have probably noticed, it‘s a fantastic live song that really puts one in a great mood. I‘m pretty sure I have learned my lesson. And of course I sent him a few words of thanks and encouragement via Twitter later, as did other fans as well. It sounded like he felt appreciated after that, which I was very relieved to hear. On a completely unrelated note, there‘s something that‘s starting to drive me nuts: During the „Pa Pa Ya“s of the second verse, I at some point started to notice a clicking sound from the right side as the guitars play, probably the sound of a plectrum clicking as it touches the strings. I cannot unhear it since then, it takes all of my attention for a few seconds (which should really be on the girls dancing instead). BTW, if I‘m not mistaken, that instrument that you said reminded you of a banjo is a traditional Thai instrument. I don‘t remember the name, though. Live they have replaced it with a guitar. I think there are quite few BABYMETAL videos left to react to. To go into a completely different direction once again, I‘d like to recommend a song called „Shanti Shanti Shanti“ from the same album: ruclips.net/video/gQnG_T7kbtY/видео.html
Awesome reaction Chase. This is definitely a more poppy and simplistic song compared to some of their other arrangements but I'll be damned if it doesn't get me moving in my seat every time I hear it lol. Keep up the great work man.
Yo you absolutely need to check out Uppsalablot by Pandrador. They are a Nordic Death metal band from Poland. Their darkened Nordic style is super underrated and would love the musical breakdown of it. Keep up the great vids! 👍👍

Love this reaction!!!! Just another BabyMetal Banger and "MoaMetal" favorite song to perform. The endurance the ladies have definitely have to be that of a professional athlete, They are the best.
I wish they used Hero's live vocals in the official. He is great here. But I caught a live edit that used the actual live Audio of everything & Hero was streight up spitting FIRE live. He sounded SO MUCH BETTER its Ridicules
Hey, you should definetly check out the Wagakki band, a totally different dimension. They combine modern and traditional Japanese instruments, and they do all music styles, metal, rock, jpop all the way to something similar to swing. One of their landmark songs is Homura + Akatsuki no Ito, and they also did a collaboration with Amy Lee from Evanescence
The Metal Galaxy album is full of surprises and collaborations. One with Joakim Broden of Sabaton. There’s a bit of Flamenco Metal. And then there is BxMxCx. Truly, Metal Rap and Su kills it. So, Bring Moa Chicken! Thank you Chase for another great reaction.
The only thing I don't like about the video (the MV, not your reaction) is that they used the studio track over live footage. I would much rather hear the live audio, because it is such a fun song, and I would like to hear the live energy.

Papaya is a fruit :) This song is about eating papaya salad (or "Som Tam", a traditional Thai dish that is both sweet and spicy) and dancing and singing at summer festivals.

idol girls are that but with their whole performance
japanese musicians as a whole generally don't settle for being anything short of 'perfect', and will practice as much as it takes to get there; masters of their craft, to say the least
> "japanese musicians as a whole generally don't settle for being anything short of 'perfect', ..."
Perfection really is kind of a religion in Japan.
No wonder they sing "Gimme Chocolate!" 🤣

If its a gimmick then it's one hell of a gimmick to last 10 years and still going strong!! Those people should find something else to be negative about or just get on with life. Lol
Babymetal gimmick is just like Slipknot with their masks: one hell of a gimmick. :-)
"Babymetal puts me in such a good mood." EXACTLY! This is why I listen to or watch at least one of their songs/videos daily! Babymetal is a really great way to start off your day...I'm serious...try it, you won't regret it.
100% agree. No matter my day , when I hear Babymetal it makes me feel good. So I tend to listen to them at some point each day.

Looking forward to see your next Babymetal reaction!

fyi,..in this MV they mixed live performance with the sound from the album.
the footage are taken on the second day from the first 2 shows in 2019 "BabyMetal Awakens : The Sun Also Rises" Live at Yokohama Arena with Kano Fujihira as the chosen avengers.
The Kami Band member on that show are,.:
-Leda Cygnus (7 strings guitar)
-Isao Fujita (8 strings guitar)
-Boh (6 strings bass)
-Hideki Aoyama (drum)
glad you liked it. but, i think you'll liked it more if you watched the actual live version. because they played Thai Harp & Thai Flute as the intro and the atmosphere/energy when Su-Metal introduce F.Hero to the stage and thanked him after the song ended plus the crowd reaction when he's start rapping really makes the whole performance more epic. it really amazing.
Great reaction, thx for this one. The world needs definitely more BABYMETAL in these strange times. Much love and respect from a german kitsune 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼. Pls stay healthy you all!
It's exhausting watching them but also very energising and very "happy".
BABYMETAL is so much energy. Love it. Thank you Chase!
Yes, it's about the fruit papaya. It's a summer feel-good song, about (cultural) summer festivals, having a good time, and F. Hero, who raps in Thai, references a typical Thai papaya salad dish.

This is the song I put on when I’m at the end of my run and I just need to push through the last bits. It’s just such an infectiously fun song. It’s got a pretty great driving beat that is great for pounding feet on the pavement or treadmill.
I believe F-Hero is a rapper from Thailand.
Me too! It's gets me so pumped at the end when I just want to collapse!
I can just imagine you in that crowd going absolutely insane =)
I endorse this comment as fact. 🙋🏼♂️
The ultimate summer party song! :) and it's awesome and fun live!
SO glad you've come back to BABYMETAL.
They’re literally singing about papaya fruit. Just like they were singing about chocolate in “Gimme Chocolate”.
To all the people who think BABYMETAL is just a corporate gimmick slapped together to make money, or that the girls don't really enjoy what they're doing, I just want to offer the other side of this common talking point:
Yes, they were formed by a producer (Key Kobayashi) at a big talent agency in Japan.
But I think reaching this level of fame and success despite all that, being humble all while still nonchalantly ignoring the hatred, and still doing their unique own thing a decade later after their formation---I don't know about you, but that's pretty damn metal to me ;)
In fact, a big chunk of the fanbase kind of complains about the band's lack of competent marketing and PR lol, so I think they're far from a purely capitalistic project, let alone a gimmick.
Yes, at the end of the day they are employees of Amuse, but they are employees in the same way superstar professional athletes are employees for the teams they play for ;)
To conclude, BABYMETAL isn't manufactured, it's engineered--precisely and lovingly :)
Amen 🙏
"the amount of vitriol thrown at them, especially online"
Please point me to just one place on the whole internet where that can be seen.

Matsuri da! (It's a festival!)
I wasn't aware of him before this song, but F.HERO is a very popular rapper in Thailand.
Rick, here is the link to the Thai instrumental: facebook.com/darkestromantic/videos/10218505832173833/

@@autohmae wow that's great ! Thanks !
I also should add that he mentioned a Thai flute is in the mix .

From what I hear in K-pop a lot of the time they use lipsync ? Because dancing and singing is just really hard.

Thank you Bruno. Yeah I can't stand the elitist nonsense. I stay well clear of it.
Another top reaction Chase, love BABYMETAL!

Every song is different, Chase! They sang about chocolate before, so why not papaya salad? As for being a gimmick-- maybe at one time you could say that, but the readers of Metal Hammer last year voted Babymetal one of the top 10 metal acts of all time. Hard to argue with that!

This is much a great song. BABY METAL so awesome. My workout playlist is loaded with BABY METAL ^^
Yup..... Sticks in the head all day!
BxMxC - Babymetal
Babymetal - majinai Ft. Joakim broden (Sabaton)
Sooooo we all need to learn this dance right? That’s the only way forward now.
I'd be dead on the floor in like 20 seconds :D
Lets go!
I'm in, let's go!!!
@@Boerke The floor would collapse before I fell down dead :(
@@gwaptiva Ssshht... same here :D

@@zdtzdt1871 F. Hero was really nervous for this show and I love how Su-metal at 2:15 says: Come on F.Hero !
That was amazing. Thank you so much. 🦊
Nice reaction! They were one of the last concerts I got to see this year, and it was fun.
Please react to TK from Ling tosite sigure (katharsis, P.S. Red I or copy light for example)
Not big on Baby Metal, but I like this song. And they do have a lot of talent.
F. HERO is a household name in Thai DJ and hip hop. Amazing guy. The F stands for something that will be censored here, and he lives it to the hilt. So great to see them perform together!
Here's a few suggestions for your next reaction to BABYMETAL, Chase (whenever that may be!):
Ijime, Dame, Zettai - Live at Sonisphere 2014, UK (OFFICIAL): ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.html
This is the performance that kickstarted their international fame.
NO RAIN, NO RAINBOW - Live at Legend - S - XX BAPTISM: ruclips.net/video/pDgqo6fcliY/видео.html
This is arguably Su-metal's best vocal performance to date, sang during a concert celebrating her 20th birthday. Very, very emotional!
