I am glad that the EEA sees the need to preserve and fly the old planes around for we people to get to see and enjoy them. And I really appreciate the wonderful pilots that donate their time to fly these planes around, to display and gives flights to we of the public. It really burns my butt that we have people trying to shutdown the flying and displaying of these old birds.

I'm not a pilot but flying those old planes seems so much more satisfying compared to the high tech computerized machines of today. Manually controlling a myriad of valves and switches and having to watch everything by yourself.
that's why I only fly pre-glass cockpit planes in flight sims. way more engaging and fun. People will probably be saying this about cars in the future btw - "I prefer old cars that you have to manually steer, gear and accelerate, not these new cars that are all self driving".

These old tei motors are still very air worthy. I flew in one just before COVID shut things down. Had a very good flight, and the plane was solid in flight as well as landing. Do you know that commercial pilots fly these planes from show to show? I talked with one pilot that ferries around the one I flew on. He flys the new commercial jets for his occupation, but flies these old planes around because of just the love of the old aircraft. Do you think he would be flying it if there was much danger involved? My flight on the trip motor was as smooth as a commercial jet, the motors sounded prettier than a jet, and we were low enough to be able to enjoy the sights of the land below. Hell yes, I would fly in it again given the chance.

That took me back, my son was obsessed with car, at shops if getting milk he had to get and stand behind wheel and do same thing or throw a tantrum. Spend hours at home doing till when he was 4 he took keys and started and drove through garage door. Lol. We got him one of those kids cars there red and yellow they use there feet to go forward etc like fli stones anyway when we got it he was so happy at 3 and a half, he didn't get out of it for the first week, every second at home was spent in it for a week, eat dinner get dressed half way, watch TV literally every second he could, couldn't find car keys one day after an hour of looking I realised he'd taken them and stuck them in his car, there was a mini boot behind him where finished plates and cups went. He absolutely adored it. Now he's I to formula 1 my father in law bought a BMW suv and first night he read the owners manual half a dozen times and k ew every feature off by heart, lol he's 10. That pump on the floor pumps fuel directly into the intake manifold. Race cars of this period had them to help them start. They're called KI Injectors. I think for Kompressor Intake Injectors. I've owned 3 period race cars and each had one.
Old British motorcycles had what we riders called "ticklers" on the carburetors that just dumped gas down into the venturis. I just used them on my BSA Mark IV and only added the use of the choke on really cold days. Then I would kick the motor over a couple of times, then bring the motor right up against a compression stroke and give the kick starter a good thump. The old Ryder's would say, "If you can start it, you can ride it". Saw one kid get thrown forward over the hand bars of a BSA Victor because he didn't know how to kickstart right.
Wow, I didn't realize any Ford Tri- motors were still around! The old, old, airliner. When the DC-3 came out , everyone kissed its wings! Travel in a tri for a few hours. Just think of the first ppl to go across country in this!
There is a Tri-Motor that travels the US to give rides at air shows. It only costs something like $75 to go in the air on one. I missed it the last time it was in my city.

Como aviação daquela época o cara fazia no braço e hoje vemos o conforto dos pilotos a tecnologia junto antes era tudo analógico. Parabéns como se preaerva a história dessas máquinas maravilhosas que cruzaram os ceus os oceanos e hoje voo ainda por aqueles que souberam conservar essas máquinas que fazem apresentações. Parabéns

That pump on the floor pumps fuel directly into the intake manifold. Race cars of this period had them to help them start. They're called KI Injectors. I think for Kompressor Intake Injectors. I've owned 3 period race cars and each had one.
Old British motorcycles had what we riders called "ticklers" on the carburetors that just dumped gas down into the venturis. I just used them on my BSA Mark IV and only added the use of the choke on really cold days. Then I would kick the motor over a couple of times, then bring the motor right up against a compression stroke and give the kick starter a good thump. The old Ryder's would say, "If you can start it, you can ride it". Saw one kid get thrown forward over the hand bars of a BSA Victor because he didn't know how to kickstart right.

Wow, I didn't realize any Ford Tri- motors were still around! The old, old, airliner. When the DC-3 came out , everyone kissed its wings! Travel in a tri for a few hours. Just think of the first ppl to go across country in this!

There is a Tri-Motor that travels the US to give rides at air shows. It only costs something like $75 to go in the air on one. I missed it the last time it was in my city.
That's one rare piece of living History!
My Ford escort mark 2 took just about the same amount of work.
I'm sure the dealer I swapped it in for never started it again.
