These old tei motors are still very air worthy. I flew in one just before COVID shut things down. Had a very good flight, and the plane was solid in flight as well as landing. Do you know that commercial pilots fly these planes from show to show? I talked with one pilot that ferries around the one I flew on. He flys the new commercial jets for his occupation, but flies these old planes around because of just the love of the old aircraft. Do you think he would be flying it if there was much danger involved?
My flight on the trip motor was as smooth as a commercial jet, the motors sounded prettier than a jet, and we were low enough to be able to enjoy the sights of the land below. Hell yes, I would fly in it again given the chance.

We got him one of those kids cars there red and yellow they use there feet to go forward etc like fli stones anyway when we got it he was so happy at 3 and a half, he didn't get out of it for the first week, every second at home was spent in it for a week, eat dinner get dressed half way, watch TV literally every second he could, couldn't find car keys one day after an hour of looking I realised he'd taken them and stuck them in his car, there was a mini boot behind him where finished plates and cups went. He absolutely adored it. Now he's I to formula 1 my father in law bought a BMW suv and first night he read the owners manual half a dozen times and k ew every feature off by heart, lol he's 10. Old British motorcycles had what we riders called "ticklers" on the carburetors that just dumped gas down into the venturis. I just used them on my BSA Mark IV and only added the use of the choke on really cold days. Then I would kick the motor over a couple of times, then bring the motor right up against a compression stroke and give the kick starter a good thump. The old Ryder's would say, "If you can start it, you can ride it". Saw one kid get thrown forward over the hand bars of a BSA Victor because he didn't know how to kickstart right.
