Van Dam & his "B" movies. He'd never stand a chance against Bas. Not even 1 round.
I think that's why Bas would be the real thing
@@colinjames6it’s not really fair comparisons, cause Bas has much more training....but JCVD has legitimate fighting skills, was an EXCEPTIONAL athlete, and by all accounts of the experts of that time, Van Damme would have made an excellent fighter had he chosen that path
Those open palm strikes are something
Bas is a legend
Fantastic video, thank you!
Bas was and always will be the best real fighter to ever lift a foot into the ring me. The man has level of meanness and toughnews that may never be matched .
Bas is a true pioneer of the sport and would've ended most of his fights a lot sooner with today's MMA closed first strikes
Bas knew to strike his opponent at the EXACT MOMENT he was exhaling?!?!?
THAT is a man with an AMAZING fight IQ!!!
You should strike as they are inhaling, not exhaling.
@@theunfazed7109 Not true. Because if you strike them while they inhale, they still have an oxygen supply. After your opponent has exhaled? He has NONE!!!! And that shit's gotta SUCK!!!
@@wariokhabib245 Hit yourself in the solar plexus as you are exhaling. Then, hit yourself in the solar plexus while you INHALE. Tell me which causes more pain friend. Breathing out while you get hit gives you more resistance to the impact.
Ken Shamrock , Bas Rutten , Tito Ortiz , Chuck Lidell , Vanderlei Silva , Fedor Emelianenko , ...... Real Legend s Hall of Famer s . Great Fighter s .

I used to know Bas years ago when his studio was in Beverly Hills. But I haven't seen him in years. He is one of the funniest guys I have ever known. But also has the meanest kick I have ever seen. OMG.
*Bas The Boss*
This was a great display of targeted liver strikes and shows just how powerful a palm wrist strike can be. Bas put on a clinic.
Bas rutte hoe is het mogelijk hij is zo goed.hij is zo snel het is niet te volgen.geweldig
Great great coverage on the Boss. Nice work!
Bas was a true beast!
Boss Rutten!
Bas is a respectful, honorable, and classy guy!
A Legend! His training videos are the bomb!
The dutch fighting scene is incredible. Schilt, Overeem, Musasi, Mr Perfect aka Hoost and last but not least Bas Rutten. All these among many others.
Don't forget "The diamond" Ramon Dekkers and "The lumberjack" Peter Aerts .... We've got many great fighters and champions in almost all variety of combat sports!!
Overeem is not Dutch. He is African
@@JoseCamposSegovia you're pathetic
@@JoseCamposSegovia....Overeem’s grandmother & mother were like 6’2” tall white Dutch women. He is just as much Dutch as “African”
