@@russianroulette8939 hey i also struggled for a min, just give it a little bit of force while pulling if downwards.
Before pulling it downwards i tried for years to remove the plates but was not able to do so.

Don’t pull on it, slide it don’t from the top on both sides and the plates will come right off. The also clip back on and off with a positive snap so you’ll know.

check your ps5, there may be moths or other insect inside. there was a dead moth in mine.
