I agree with most of your points. Yes I would like to see Ahmed get a chance to show what he can do. As far as the game against Argentina, these are the World Champions so it's very unlikely they can beat them so let's just enjoy it and enjoy that they got that far!
Agreed, they are playing with house money. Go out there and just play. No one expected them to make it this far.

It means that we played better than Venezuela. It doesn't mean that we have a chance against Argentina, because nobody in this tournament does.
Canada should play a 4-5-1 (4-2-3-1) against Argentina and try not to get over run in the midfield. If the defensive line becomes solid in the future, maybe a 3-5-2 can be utilized selectively.
It won't matter... It's Argentina, the WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS. They routinely eat teams twice as good as us for breakfast.
I've been calling for a 3 man midfield since the Argentina game. Who would you insert/replace?For me i'd swap Larin for Choiniere.
@@africaaansfc In general with the current talent, I would have Eustaquio and Kone plus one of Oso, Choiiere, and Hoilett. Of course Hoilett is not available and so it's down to Oso or Choiniere. BTW I've been calling for the 3 man midfield since the summer of 2022 in preparation for Qatar. It only seems very recent that others are starting to see it that way too. I do like the dual striker set up, but we're not disciplined enough yet for the 3-5-2 against strong opponents.

@@djknox2 Thats very true. It's still very early and this is the first crop of player Marsch has brought in. I do tend to agree that we have a bunch of 8s and some old 10s in the current set up. Even the younger MLS Talents, like Saliba profiles more to me like an 8 than a 6or 10. I would actually push Kone up the pitch and have Choiniere and Stef in a midfield trio. With Osorio as the veteran to stabilize if need be.
Other than Koleosho, are there any other dual nationals out there? Specifically maybe in a 10 position.
Creative 10's are nearly extinct in the game.
From a Dual national conversation I'm looking at the U20 roster. Specifically Jesse Costa who has gone back and forth with the Portuguese and Canadian Youth teams.
A curious name is Adrian Pacheco who was just called up to the U20 team who plays in Bolivia for the last camp. Still trying to get some details form that camp. Will keep you all posted.
@@africaaansfc Yes that kind of insight would be great. I feel they need a strong 10 to unlock the offensive talent on the team. So it sounds like there's no prospect in time for 2026?
