Tad you are amazing. Your communication and presentation skills are better than a professor at an ivy league college.
That's not a compliment - Ivy league professors are in the street yelling about palestine and teaching about gender and wokeness. He's better than a mexican is a much better compliment.
I used a leak sealant product on a slow leak that required refrigerant every year., It's been 3 years now without the need to add.
I haven’t used the dye but have the kit currently on my van. Looking forward to using it to help find tricky leaks. I appreciate your channel more then you know. I’ve been in commercial hvac for a little over a year. Got thrown out there sink or swim and thanks to channels like yours, I’m staying afloat. Your a godsend brother.
You're welcome my friend glad to know your here.
Stay safe out there stay healthy stay happy
I'm gonna keep doing videos thank you for watching.
Man, you Said that RIGHT!
I think it is a nice option for customers as long as they understand that it does not guarantee that it will resolve their issue. Thank you for the awesome content!
Totally agree
Excellent product,I use it several times and helped my customers greatly.
Great to hear!
Great video I used this on a multi zone Mr cool mini split with slow leak and problem solved.
Excellent!
First off, I don't think it takes care of sealing major (bigger) leaks (the website says that too). Then, I THINK, it restricts the Filter Drier. I have used it twice (per year gaps). In my case, the leaks were minor but the liquid in the tube get accumulated in the filter drier (again, I THINK). Why I kind of getting sure about it is that this year, I see about 10 degree temperature difference in the inlet and outlet of the filter drier. Great video!!
3 degrees difference is a restriction so yes you are probably right. This junk also ruins txv metering devices. Our company has stopped using it, it's not a fix or in the customers best interest. Fix the leak correctly or replace the system. Customers always want "another year or two" to save for a new system, yet systems go up in price each year so they end up losing money in the long run.
This is one of the best videos of NuCalGon product. Very detail and organized video. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
I used the LS/ UV and help me find the leaks found it on the coil and on the condenser I still have to see if it seals any holes great video Tad 👍
Thanks for the info
Let us know.
I have used the sealant but not the dye I’m not a fan of the sealant but I understand see the advantages of of the dye . At the same time my leak decor would have found those leaks nice video that’s my opinion on leak seal
Thank you for your knowledge my friend I appreciate it
Thank you stomach I learned you RUclips channel I am so happy i work with you?
Great to hear!
Tad, my wife Makes the BEST Potatoe salad ! Every time it is the BEST! I would love to have you over for a meal!
I love potato salad
Thank you for this video Tad! I'm new to HVAC, I follow all your videos because they help me tremendously! This product I had to load on to the work truck the other day but we never ended up using it! So cool to see what it did visually! Keep up the awesome video content 👏 👌 It is appreciated!!
You're welcome thank you so much for watching the video. I really appreciate you watching all my videos. It means a lot to me.
Wishing you great success in this industry my friend
I happen to eat Nu Calgon. Good to eat 👍
Im all for the dye especially when it comes to detecting a leak. The 1 thing I do not like is the dye marrying my gauges.
Get a Tesla truck so you can eat while driving. You’re a great guy. Love your videos.
that would be so cool
Another great video Tad! I have used a similar product with success and it's great to have this option!
You're right my friend. It's great to have this option and I'm glad to hear that you had success. I will be curious to know the progress with this one
❤😊😮 Ok I would definitely use this product after going over everything with a leak gun. I’d use soap bubbles on braising joints. If then No positive reactions I’d install the leak repair kit. As you said small leaks! 😊😊. I alway use double flair single have tendency to split or just leak.
Nice job sir thank for taking the time to share see you on the next video
Has to be the right tatter salad 👍
What kind of vacuum did you pull with a leak present? Wouldn't you have been better off not recovering and just charge system then add the product?
To enhance your video's, consider turning off the "Mirror Mode" on your recording device. Everything that is in the video appears backwards which is very distracting. Hope that that helps.
Part number for Uber leak detection kit? Picking up 2 uv/ls kits in the morning for mini split
Great video man 🤟🏼
Thanks brother
Ur great brother much appreciated
Glad to help
LS UV
Awesome video, thanks
Good job my friend 🎉👍
Thank you 👍
I love potato salad too. Love the um um good...hilarious.
So good
Looks like a good product but where I am in Canada we must fix the leak and document that. Government run Ozone depleting police agency/ozone protection people will fine you. Just adding sealant to buy time is illegal. Seems like some US States allow you to top up systems and do others insist on the leak being fixed and not allow topping up? Which ones do and don't?
I have not use dye in over 30yrs just add a little refrigerant pressurize to 500 Psi use a DB 80 leak detector you will find it
Of course using nitrogen
uv light safety glasses
Food for thought, in my opinion that is a last resort repair for a older R22 system, I will not put it in anything that is repairable or newer R410 systems, the reason being is that sealant is designed to react with open air and if you ever crack open a system to make a repair it will start hardening in the lines you have flush it immediately upon opening the system, and then you still risk it making sludge in the system and stopping things up, will it stop up the txv as long as it has refrigerant in it properly not, but you change the game when you open the system after and the effects can be devastating to the filter drier and txv after that.
I did not think about that thank you so much for your knowledge. I really appreciate you.
fast leak condenser slow leak evaporator
Have you tried leak armor ? This is the only one I have found that works . For any of this stuff I think that the leaks has to take 2 to 3 months for it to be low on charge and then you might get lucky with this stuff
Never heard of it, but I will check it out
Not sure what to think about sealants. Possible restrictions and harm to the compressor from what I've been told.
Don't they have a kit with the CO2 injector like Pro Seal has? And what size for automobile systems?
If this product does seal the leak ,could the seal lose affect over time or seal it permanently?
ive only been in the trade for 2.5 years, 4 months with my journeymans license. i try to stay away from this stuff unless i absolutely cannot find the leak. multiple techs within my company have ran into systems in which we introduced this sealant to, and it ended up clogging the filter drier and/or txv.... i guess its sealing though!?
Since you were recharging it; why didn't you put the sealant in while charging it?
Several contractors have suggested that leak seal can damage AC systems, is there any truth to that?
I'm not sure I have had nothing but good luck with this product. So further testing will show the truth.I will do an update video after another year
Did the leakseal fix the leak?
yes
Will it work on a water source HP with a leaking water cooled condenser??
Hi Taddy, I'm new to the geothermal world. I bought a house with one in it and wasn't told anything about it - how to upkeep it or if I could get parts. Well, about a month ago it stopped blowing cold air, and I am quickly learning about them. I love your videos and have learned a lot about my unit be watching you. The problem is, I think the issues is more that I can do. Do you ever go to Kentucky? I am in the Paducah, KY area and need help. The people here that I have talked to just want to replace it, I'm thinking they may not know how to actually work on it and fix the one I have. Thanks, Kim

How do you find out where the leak is
What happens to your hoses if you hook them up to a system that has already had dye inserted? Are your hoses now contaminated and will they possibly spread dye to the next system they are hooked up to?
Purge air.
Tad I had the ac service people add freon last year for the first the unit it's 9 years old it's 3 ton 16 sers Thay check for leaks ,spraying all the fittens check the coil used the sniffer and nitrogen test the system check out ok. It holds 5 lbs of freon thay add 3 lbs to system. This year freon low again. Thay added freon again this 😢year. It takes 410a refrigerant. I Sean you video so I'm going to try the dye and sealer . Thay want to replace the whole ac system 😢. So thanks for the tips I'm going to put the sealer, with the dye. Going to Keep my fingers crossed 🤞. Thank.
Good deal. I'm so glad that you are going to try to repair it instead of replacing it
Question on the easy sealer with the dye thay show two of them one up to 2 tons, and the other 7.5 tons witch one would you recommend my unit is 3 tons unit I'm going to order it. Thanks again.
Used this leak seal 3 times and pulled a vacuum on system first. Then attached leak seal tube to low side and tried charged system with refrigerant from drum. Was never able to get leak seal to enter the system.
Please give us a follow-up as to leak results. Thanks.
I will definitely do that
I am curious
What's the longevity of the refrigerant woth the uv dye and leak sealant installed in the system? Do you need to replace the refrigerant with virgin refrigerant during the repair? How long can the dye stay in the system
It last as long as the refrigerant is in the system. It travels with the refrigerant in the system.
Can you use that in a ductless mini split?
yes absolutely
Perfect, adding as we speak, lol! Thanks for the fast response. I just became a member so it’s not in vain on your end 😁
Can u add one sealant then 6,8 months later add another one if it keeps leaking or just for added protection. Anyone know ? Thank you in advance.
I just did that exact thing! The sealant and dye was from another company, but it has slowed (hopefully stopped) a small leak.
As of now, I have not seen any evidence of the dye showing, but will check again in a couple of months.
This should work for a mini split also shouldn’t it?
yes
You said new coil would be 2k. How much did the leak seal job come out too?
300
He will help you get another season out of your system, but it will eventually ruin the txv or piston. If you have the money, replace the leaking coil.
Only thing that should be running inside the A/C is “REFRIGERANT and REFRIGERANT only “ is what I was taught in trade school 🤷🏻♂️
Tad I need a copy of ur cfm recording sheet and maintenance CK sheet
hey send me and email my friend
tadfuller1@gmail.com
Would this product work in an auto ac system anyone?
How'd it work out, is this system still up and running 7 months later?
It actually is
This was my first time using this and it worked
@@TaddyDigest Cool, thanks! ;) Might have to use this someday..
👏👏👏👏
Can I ask how much you charged for the leak seal option?
94 for call 52 per hour and 96 for the sealant
@TaddyDigest thanks for that. I guess I'm not too far off, I charge 69 for the call and 225 for the leak seal add in 🤷, just checking my pricing. Im always cheaper than these companies over here, by a long shot too... Houston TX BTW, thanks dude, love your videos too👍
Thank you brother glad to be of help
Hey question @taddy digest . Can I put second time Nu-Calgon 4050-11 EasySeal . I put one already
yes
@@TaddyDigest ok thank you . I put one and I believe got fixed the leak and I just want put second easy seal because to cover the leak and strong . It will be long last
@@TaddyDigest I’m buying another
@@TaddyDigest it looks like is coming from the compressor coil and I can hear something . Last time I put Easy seal and it worked for a couple months. Maybe i should two of those
@@TaddyDigest hey question , can I replace just the condenser
can you use easy seal on car ac?
I'm not sure
Made 400 likes woot woot.
Can these leak sealers be used on systems with capillary tubes? Like a prep tables?
yes, oem approved to not clog up cap tubes or txvs
I paid someone to do the same and add 2lbs of R-22. Total cost $770. I was wondering if this is too much or average.
Seems a little bit high
But if it was the actual 22 Then it may cost quite a bit for a jug of that
U are not a nexstar company?
What is that
@TaddyDigest nexstar is a hvac, electric, and plumbing sales coaching company. They teach you how to read customers and situations to up sell equipment and accessories. Ex. Turn a bad run capacitor into a new system sale. Also, if a tech numbers isn't up to Par, let him go.
Are you talking about the company in Natchez, MS?
Because that is what they do, any majority of the dumbest around here do not realize it.
Wait till that sealant gets into your recover equipment and gauges. We condone it in the automotive ac repair world because it wrecks our equipment. If sealant is detected in a system, everything has to be replaced. Bandaid fix that causes more issues for others.
You wouldn't love the tater salad if you made It every single day, I work for a BBQ place with the best dang BBQ around, secret is in the sauce ....
OEM *approved not to clog manifold gauges.
yes absolutely
I joined you
here is my email tadfuller1@gmail.com
lol. You said pumps and dumps
DO NOT put leak sealer in your system. Dye is fine and then fix the leak properly.
1:34.....Time to get a lapel mike...
Word of advice. Reputable companies will not allow their techs to use this product anymore. High risk of metering device issues with leak seal products. If it does work, likely for a year or two. All you are doing is kicking the bucket down the road to a more expensive ac system replacement in the years coming than just replacing or fixing at current market prices. Good for the hvac companies, expensive and bad for customers. Not to mention setting yourself up for another round of headaches and money spent on having an hvac company come out again when things go south shortly after. Uv dye has only ever helped me once in a diagnostic, and that was on a leak in a finished ceiling. Much easier to use an electronic sniffer.
Is this some kind of canned response, do you copy paste this on all leak seal videos?
downvote for potato salad
lol 😆 🤣
You're aunt wouldn't also happen to be your mom, would she?
When did you get a self driving vehicle?😂😂😂😂
I’ve used it in two different occasions never worked. This sealant is a scam don’t waste your money..
DO NOT USE THAT PRODUCT!! WILL PLUG UP YOUR TXV AND POSSIBLY DAMAGE YOUR COMPRESSOR, DO THE JOB THE RIGHT WAY AND FIND THAT LEAK, NO EXCUSES, BE A PROFESSIONAL!!
I am from Guyana looking at your Chanel we don't have any uv or sealant for the job does it seal the leak I will like for some of that
