The shit you can do with Hamon is pretty nuts, especially because it's more or less confirmed that Hamon can eventually develop into a variation of Hermit Purple, allowing a degree of precognition and clairvoyance. The problem is that this ability only seems to extend to older users like Tonpetty, Joseph, and Jonathan's body, and even then the psychic abilities of Hamon do not necessarily correlate to the Stand abilities we see Joseph use, namely the ability to grow Hamon-infused psychic vines and throw them around, or to perceive Stands in others. That said, no one but Tonpetty would have had the prerequisite skill and experience to develop a Hamon Stand in Part 1, and Straitzo may not have achieved it either, so it's entirely possible that there were Hamon Stand users around and we just didn't see them because there were no other Stands to see at the time.
Stands are literally refered to as 'Spirit Hamon' and when Introduced for the first Time in part 3 it required breathing to manifest your Stand. Imagine if the safest way to unlock a Stand was through Hamon Training instead of betting your Life with the arrow.

I feel that hamon would be out shined but I feel that dual wielding spin and a stand automatically makes you incredibly powerful and has very interesting power scaling

That Hamon disrespect towards the end. People forgot that Hamon can instantly kill people by giving them heart attacks (Look at Caesar's Friend, Mark in part 2) or just straight up knocking them out (Joseph who has barely any knowledge in Hamon knocked a guard using Hamon) alongside Mind Control, it can literally do the same thing as Spin aka controlling people but Hamon actually controls the person's mind which is far superior than Spin's body puppetry unless you are implying that Body Control>Mind Control. Hamon can literally shred stone, what is stopping them from placing hamon inside a person and shred their organs instead?
Hamon can literally be used for the ranged game too look at Zeppeli's Hamon Cutter and Caesar's whole bubble fighting style. They can be as good as the Spin Users, its just the infinite rotation is extremely busted. Hamon should enhance the user's physical attributes since Caesar gave this lady hamon with his mind control hamon hax and she was demolishing Joseph. Also Hamon's regeneration is also very good.
I'd like to think that the Hamon and Spin got their own ups and downs, it is similar to Naruto. The Hamon is the Byakugan and The Spin is the Sharingan both got epic abilities but The Spin/Sharingan got more upgrades and ended up looking more op than the other aka Hamon and Byakugan. Also hamon gets downplayed too when people think Hamon is only good for undead dudes when clearly that's not the case.
I don't know what emotion compelled this rant but Spin is superior if for no other reason than the fact that disrupting a user's breathing doesn't render them unable to use it like Hamon. The Infinite Spin is also one of the most busted abilities in Jojo as a whole meanwhile the supreme offensive manifestation of Hamon is Kars' super Hamon laser, it isn't even close.

Dude, Hamon can literally give People heart attacks with a single touch. It does not matter, I already admitted in the post that Spin shits on Hamon but it does not change the fact that its still a great Ability. The video creator was shitting on Hamon towards the end for no reason.

I mean, isnt josuke8 a math wizz? i remember him being able to perfectly calculate a lot of things heights and measurements in the part just with his eyes. plus he can actually utilise the spin already
By the end of Josuke8 it really doesn't feel like Araki is sticking with deepening the Spin concept at all. The only thing we know is that Jo2uke's Soft and Wet is a form of spinning circles making up a bubble
Honestly I love the fact that Araki created a unique (and at least slightly grounded in real world physics) power system that could rival even some of the top tier stands. It just shows how talented he is, that after 6 prior entire story arcs he was able to create something new and refreshing leading to what most people consider to be his magnum opus. Good on you Araki.
Hamon: you have to breath and what if your breathing is cut off

Spin: can be used in basically any situation. All you need is a rectangle shaped object (Aka basically everything) can be infused with stands.
I think the only downside to Spin is purely based on the user's Intelligence rather than the Power-system itself, I think that this is the way that Spin has balanced itself as a Power-system compared to Hamon, Vampirism and to a certain extent Stands.
Oh and you have to be next to nature ( artificial beings does not count) so unlike vamp and hamon spin wouldn’t work in a white box setting

A Human affected by the Mask ends up turning them into what the Pillarmen are, Human like Race that is just much more powerfull but is Weak to the Sun, but they consume less energy and can consume more type of life force
While Pillarmen that gets affected by the Stone Mask actually need to consume far more energy but you get a really big increase in power, almost supernatural even

I would go further and say that he bodies practically 70% of the cast at his maximum, assuming he's not caught off guard and this is a white room. Spin is really broken and there's not a lot of people that could defend against it.

I have a theory that would make Tusk act 4 stronger than what it is. This theory, in short, explain how the nail bullets of act 4 may have the same "Go Beyond" properties that Soft & Wet has.
You see, S&W:GB bubbles have two main properties; it's spin and explosive capabilities. The spin is what makes them invisible and, most importantly, go beyond logic, while it's explosive power is what makes them deal damage.
TA4, in the other hand, deals damage in a different way, but it also has a greater level of spin. My point is, if a weaker spin can make the lines of the soap bubbles "disappear", why couldn't the Golden Spin make the nail bullets spin infinitely close to the point of zero too? If the problem is that they need to spin incredibly fast, well with the Golden Spin they literally have Infinite energy, they could easily have an infinite spin velocity as well.
Of course, this is only a personal opinion, but I would like to read what you think.

@@skyrt7426 Good question! The way I see it is, if both attacks collide, their spin will either get weaker or canceled at all. In the case of Tusk, it's only way to cancel it is with another infinite rotation spinning in the opposite direction. Also, I do not see it possible to weaken the infinite energy. Since S&W do not use the Infinite rotation, I believe it has no possibilities against Tusk.
Johny is only new to spin, maybe johnny on JOJOLION can do more spin tricks and maybe even use Ta4 without a horse like how gyro is able to use ball breaker despite not being on a horse

Fun fact, some digital art software (I'm only saying some because I haven't been able to use many) have the golden ratio as a preset for adjusting the dimensions of images and elements in them. I know that it's in Adobe Illustrator with a special identifier where the box surrounding the image/element turns a shade of yellow rather than the default black.
I think hamon could be useful as a passive buff, Healing and strength boost as well as some utility, but as your only ability, no.
On part 1 and 2, Hamon allows you to body almost anyone, part 3 onwards, you'll need a decent enough stand and maybe a gun on top of everything else if you want to have any chance of survival.
Not being able to see most stands is one of the biggest downsides of not having one yourself
I’m pretty sure that the wrecking balls had a downside that it couldn’t reach perfect spin(since gyro’s steel balls are perfectly soft and the wrecking balls have those little bumps)
Spin aside, I think hamon is still the better choice over stands for normal people. There are some major drawbacks coming from stands, mainly attracting other stand users and from what we saw most of these people need psychological help. That is if the stand itself doesn't kill the user because he/she has weak willpower or worse, killing the user is the stands ability.
Hamon on the other hand keeps you young and healthy. In rare cases it can give you an idea of the future. You can live a quiet life with no fights at all, something that is extremely unlikely as a stand user.
Spin is on a different level. It has the most utility and no drawbacks. That's the reason I think in a normal life the choice should be spin>hamon>stand.
The spin is powerful the same way that Sticky Fingers and Yo Yo Ma are. In their own right, they are a beast, but they have the unfortunate fate of not being all that flashy compared to the other powerhouses they are with (Purple Haze, Gold Experience, Diver Down) so most people overlook how busted they can really be.

The way I see it, Hamon is much more versatile. It can heal people, make people stronger, burn through flesh if strong enough, and even possess people. It's also easier to master. Spin tho is WAY better in a fight. It can manipulate a person's body to an extremely high degree, and even rip through time and space. Of course, if strong enough. That's pretty much it tho. But that's probably because we aren't aware of other Spin techniques tho. Same could be said about Hamon too. It is however harder to master. Melting people is pretty good, but what about breaking dimensional barriers meant to teleport any threats that touches it to another part of the world?
It's also much easier to get a stand out of using Hamon. And it doesn't seem to require complete mastery over Hamon to get one. Even if stands like Hermit Purple stand no change against Ball Breaker. Hamon itself also isn't that great against non vampires. It's only great against them if they're almost dying, or if you're just super good at it. Spin however works on everyone equally. So imo, Hamon is low risk, good reward. While Spin is high risk, god tier reward.
The only thing i dont like about spin is that spin users usually doesnt have a consistent defensive capability, for example Johnny can simply die with a headshot

I feel like Soft And Wet : Go Beyond has a lot of potential because in one lesson of Spin, he surpassed Johnny who needed 4 lessons. Imagine a fight between Soft and wet with four lessons against Wonder of U requiem.
it’s base ability is already insane, and it’s limits are unknown, so with that on top of go beyond soft and wet is most likely the strongest stand in jojos
To be fair, go beyond is actively uncontrollable by josuke, he can barely even fire it off of his body. And without the assistance of map/phone stand (name blank for real) it would have done nothing.

During the fight between Wekapipo and Gyro, Wekapipo makes explicit the fact that his rotation technique is different from that of the Zeppeli family, since he, unlike Gyro, does not use the golden ratio, so in the hypothetical case in which Wekapipo knows how to use the golden ratio together with wrecking ball and getting them to work together would probably generate a totally broken ability, which could beat more or less 90% of jojo's cast. Yes, the spin is broken to absurd levels

Wrecking balls are all offence and they don’t use the golden rectangles which is why I think wrecking balls are way weaker, also the spin we see in part 7 isn’t the only form of the spin there’s more versions of it like wrecking balls and I’m hoping we see more of the other variants
I wonder if being part Kira is why Josuke was able to use the spin to it's fullest potential. Kira was a ship doctor, after all. He would naturally know a great deal about human anatomy.

I won't deny that Spin is powerful, but it feels way less interesting to me because it feels like a bigger hammer contest. Its ultimate ability being infinite damage just, feels kinda bland? People clown on Dragonball for bigger ki ball syndrome for the same reason.

I liked the video, but the Part 8 segment could have been better. With all the „It is better then Tusk Act 4, and it's crazy powerfull, but I can't show you right now. You'll have to belive me, and wait for the next video” it seemed a bit silly. I think, that at least this part, would have been much more powerfull in a followup video to the Go Beyond video, when you have material that you can refer to.

Been waiting on this one. Best part, best power system, makes sense.
Although Soft and Wet Go Beyond may be able to defy logic itself I do not consider it as stronger than Tusk Act 4. Yes it is also busted but it is more like a ZA HANDO but in the form of a bubble. Just to compare, although I think Josuke’s Go Beyond could manage to surpass Love Train defense I don’t think it could manage to defeat Valentine due to being able to just switch bodies, while Tusk Act 4 is literally unstoppable. But the same could be said about Johnny if he had to face Wonder of U, if he had the intention I think he couldn’t manage to start the infinite rotation due to some calamity such as falling from his horse or the like. Overall I think Soft and Wet is more versatile than Tusk due to the latter requiring the use of a horse to access its full potential. Both are great Stands and were meant to overcome different challenges.

hamon has the potential but no human will ever get there and only kars would ever reach hamon so hamon is very good but it’s never usable at a good state

i think the Spin is the best ability because anyone can do it, and its fairly fun, but limited somewhat in variety, but with lots of abilities
I think stands are solid because theyre awesome, can be used alongside either of the other abilities, have a ton of variety and ablities, but can lack in the fun department if its not a main character stand
i think hammon is the weakest ability but one of the coolest and most fun. I think it was kinda done dirty by being thrown away so heavily when it still had a ton of potential to be phased out in part 3 with, you know, the last vampire, and introduce stands at the same time, and it has tons of abilities, but its very, well bland. We got some cool side characters with it but nothing came of that, it was kinda just punchy punchy so it lacked pizzazz. I think hammon should have gotten a better end rather than be completely thrown out like it did, thats all

News flash... if you need to breathe to survive, and you can't, there's a truckton of things you can normally do easily that you won't be able to. Pretty sure you'd be focusing on something else than your Spin if you're a little busy choking for air.

Wrecking ball is weaker than the regular steel ball in terms of achieving ball breaker since wrecking ball isn't a perfect sphere, that was literally the only weakness that led to Gyros defeat, his ball wasn't a perfect sphere therefore the perfect spin was negated.

can you make a video on how ultimate kars would fare against stands? his ability is basically a golden experience that is active constantly but i figure he has enough differences to warrant this question.
I think only the stands which can one shot him like Cream (Destroy him before he can regenerate), TA4 (Probably, if Kars dosn't just learn to control spin), D4C (Bringing alternate Kars), WOU (Probably, it negates defenses in a way so it can probably destroy Kars somehow), Heaven's Door (Writing something to stop him). There might be a few more like The hand and SnW:GB but they are not that consistent in my opinion. GER most likely needs to kill someone to start infinite death loop so it will be just a stalemate.
