6:37 The "little blue thing" is the light that indicates that the TASS speed supervision is engaged which means if you go 3mph (I think) over the speed limit it will sound the TASS alarm which has to be cancelled or it will put the emergency brakes on.
Nice to see you on tsw5 joe I also think it should of gone to Birmingham and they already have that station it's to short with 390 only takes about 30 minutes hopefully we will see class 221 xc
The problem with the railways of the UK in my opinion is the lack of capacity which restrains frequency, the ticket prices, the government treating the railways as a business rather than a service, and finally the lack of integration with local feeder transport. Barbara Castle had it right back in the 1960s when she introduced the concept of PTEs, integrated local transport run by local authorities to serve the population rather than make a profit.
the night lighting, tunnel lighting and the timetable (dc line and 350 consists are completely wrong) is shocking on this route, so i refunded. luckily there is a mod being made which should fix many issues.
Tbh I’d give this route maybe a 5-6/10. Definitely had a lot of potential, definitely could’ve been a lot better. I’m not even from the area and I can still point out the many problems. The other 2 core routes definitely show off DTGs skills better. At least we have WCML Over Shap and GWR remaster to look forward to
Yes I agree that the route should of gone to Birmingham considering that both new street and Lichfield trent valley are already modelled in the game on the BCC
IMHO, the route should have been Euston to Rugby via Northampton. Including the DIRFT facility, to make better use of the Class 66. The Pendolinos would get a good run as well. Threading a freight around the express passenger services is a good experience.
377’s are included as it is a different variant with AC Power so a modified London Commuter 377 also with the 72 stock but nothing has changed with the 72
not the first tilting trains, like you said the german DMU, and also the Acela though that is slightly different as the whole train doesn't tilt, only the power cars I believe 10:50 the bakerloo has mainline AI trains so it would already be signalled down the mainline as well
What if... DTG do the MKC - BNS portion as a separate add-on, with the class 730 as additional content. It could be connected with the LE - MKC route via route hopping.
fantastic video Joe i have not been able to watch any bloody videos bloody talk talk went bang then PC had something up with it and trying to watch something on a phone is not the same but anyway all fixed now thank god now on to my opinions of TSW5 (scam 5!!!) well my eyes they could off made a add-on for all these things that have come with tsw5 i feel like its becoming a bit of a joke seems like every year bang 55 Quid for new one what in my ayes is not worth it at all now i bought it as i wanted to try guard mode and the 390 and guard mode is fantastic i love it the 390 is ok sounds could be better and the 350 well same again is not bad the route is ok wish you could go to Birmingham seems better in my eyes more value for money in the customers eyes but all in all i give it a 5/10 as same as last year but anyway how are you are you ok 😁 i am not bad plodding along as you do 🤣 but this is how they get you with the free thing is the new add-ons come up to 117.00 Quid so you might as well buy the full thing at 55 quid but i have to say it is a stunning game
Flippin' heck Imran that was a right essay! I did wonder where you'd gone but sometimes people get busy don't they! I'm glad to hear you're keeping well, and I can share a lot of agreement with you regarding TSW5. Very pretty but lacks substance :(
Its just the same stuff just re-packaged. Yes 💯 it looks pretty but i wouldnt pay the price for the same game. Dovetail had done really well with the past few dlc's then this...
I really think Train Sim World is the biggest mistake Dovetail ever made. They should have just kept upgrading Train Simulator Classic, and adding in more features, better optimisation (multi-core anyone?) and graphics improvements. Instead, we have a "simulator" that's almost entirely mostly low or mediocre quality proprietary content with barely any modding support apart from the workarounds found by the community. They claim the game is a simulator, but you can clearly see they are trying to make it more like an arcade game and forget about essential parts of the simulation aspect because they have demonstrated time and time again that they only seem to be interested in making as much money as possible. There are still tons of bugs, glitches and inaccuracies that hugely affect the experience, that are left untouched by DTG, or only a small portion fixed at least, and they go and milk customers with another update behind a paywall with more flashy additions to the game features (if you can call them that) to cover up all the issues. Washed-out graphics unless you have a supercomputer, trees popping into existence, electric motor sounds coming from every single coach, NPCs glitching in and out of the train, extremely overpowered acceleration and braking physics on many trains (despite this phony "SimuGraph" scripting thingy - doesn't seem very simulation to me!) for starters. DTG could have their devs go and fix the majority of the issues with TSW5...6...7... and release it as a final paid upgrade that's actually somewhat worth the money, but instead their management/Focus clearly wants to make as much money of train enthusiasts as possible whilst having no idea of what most train people actually want from a train simulator. Imagine what they could have done if they didn't do unnecessary things like TSW Tycoon and TSWVR which totally take the "Sim" out of the equation. If I was making a train simulator and planning to provide a VR experience (which I'm not really a fan of anyway) I'd futureproof the software by optimising it for VR implementation at the start, but wait until all the core features are implemented correctly until I finally add it in. I'd really think the train simulation community would be in a better state if the development of Train Sim World was handed over to even Armstrong Powerhouse and modding was implemented. Honestly, can you imagine what Train Sim Classic would be like if it was started by Dovetail Games instead of Kuju and RailSimulator.com? I'm really grateful that there are quite a few competitors to Dovetail's products being developed.
5:53 Correction, the 377 and 72 stock is included even if you don’t own them
The Pendolino looked the best in the good old Virgin livery!
Do love a pendolino, make sure to give Conductor/Guard mode a try, very cool.
You finally played it! Nice!
Haha we got there eventually :D
Nice video Joe! Keep it up

I loved the video you are very funny lol
You don't need the bakerloo for the 1972 stock. It's part of the DLC
377’s are included as it is a different variant with AC Power so a modified London Commuter 377 also with the 72 stock but nothing has changed with the 72
The 377/2 comes bundled with the route. London Commuter isn't needed
There's a signage and branding patch mod for TSW5 I think you'll like that mod!

I’ll just wait until the Black Friday or Christmas sale save some money that way
Good video joe hope you enjoyed your holiday will you be doing the gard Mode next?
Thanks so much Silentwalkthroughs! I shall certainly explore guard mode at some point :)
@JoeDobsongaming I don't know if this a bug or not it might say you can't be a gard on the class 390 but you can joe
Do you still get conductor mode with the free one
I've experienced crashing on the way into London Euston

@@JoeDobsongaming aye indeed what a essay 😂😂
@@JoeDobsongaming glad to hear your ok
The Pendolinos are the wrong way around! The London end of Avanti trains has first class, not the Preston end!
Its just the same stuff just re-packaged. Yes 💯 it looks pretty but i wouldnt pay the price for the same game. Dovetail had done really well with the past few dlc's then this...
You don't need to pay anything for the base game update. You only pay for the new routes.
I know what you mean, I don't think I'd mind so much if it went to Birmingham... I think I prefer TSC :P
